Fleur:

Standing at 5 foot 3, Fleur isn't the shortest person ever, but she's definantly not the tallest either. She has pale skin, acompanined by pale blue eyes. Fleur wears her dark hair in an odd style. She allows for part of her bangs to be much longer then the rest of her hair, which is kept short. Her dark hair is actually an extremely dark brown, although it does look black. Clothing wise Fleur likes to wear things that fit into her favorite color scheme. Which incudes, blue, grey, white, black and a sprinkling of gold and red to add a bit of variety. One item that she always has with her is an extremely long grey and white striped scarf that is tattered on the ends. Cold weather having never bothered her, Fleur doesn't bother with warm clothing, though she will wear a grey and black jacket sometimes along with black stockings that rise up to be hidden beneath her skirt. To finalize her outfit, Fleur will wear a pair of boots that rise to just below her knees. Ussually the boots will either be blue or white to match the rest of her outfit.

Personality:


When it comes to talking about Fleur, the word 'happy' is a bit of an understatement. Constantly cheerful and friendly, Fleur loves to smile and laugh and just enjoy life. There really are no other words to describe her. Sure she can get mad just like everyone else, but her anger never really lasts very long. Minutes after she gets upset Fleur will return to her normal cheerful self. Something Fleur has always enjoyed was cooking, she enjoys having the ability to take unappetizing foods and turn them into delicacies. She ends up being even more happy then normal when she's cooking.

Spontaneous and lively, its hard to stop Fleur from caving in to her impulse. One such example is her tendency to hug cute things like teddy bears and kittens. Fleur has a soft spot for cute things, that much is plain to see whenever she spy's something she considers cute or adorable. She'd even go as far as to pick up stray kittens, but she's managed to gain some control over this habit. Though, every once and a while as Fleur walks past you may here a faint meowing.

Fleur values friendship highly, she would much rather have friends over enemies. She's never been one for violence, though Fleur will fight if she has to. Of course, depending on the fight, she'd be trying to talk her way out of the fight the entire time. If the fight was to protect or rescue a friend or cute thing, Fleur would actually focus on the fight instead of trying to get out of it.

There is one exception to Fleur's happy attitude. This revolves around the weather. When the weather is cooler, one can count on Fleur being her normal happy self; however, if the weather gets any warmer, Fleur might become a little irritable. Being pretty much made of snow, warmer weather sometimes bothers Fleur, just because it means she could start melting. Fleur hates the idea of melting to a puddle. Which is why she'd rather visit winter islands than desert ones.

Background


The family Fleur was born into was an odd one to say the least. Each person in the family had completely different interests. Fleur's father was a clown for a living, while her mother ran an antique store. The two older siblings of Fluer also had opposing interests. Her older brother liked swords and other dangerous weapons while her sister took an interest in clothing and fashion. Fleur's interest revolved around food and the way it was prepared. Despite all the difference, everyone in Fleur's family shared one thing in common, their smile.

Fleur's parents believed it was their job to make sure the kids were happy doing what they loved. Around the age of five, when Fluer showed interest in cooking, her parents taught her a little bit. A few years later when her interest was still there they signed Fleur up for some cooking classes. This was where Fleur met her best friend Marcy. The two did everything together. They even shared a dream, of creating the largest compilation of recipes from all over the world. Marcy and Fleur decided when they were old enough, they'd set sail together and pursue this dream of theres.

One day, when the girls were teenagers, they found a strange fruit washed up on the beach. It looked like an average fruit, but it was different. Both Marcy and Fleur wanted to have it, but they couldn't agree to who could keep it. They decided to settle things with a cook off. Fleur won. That was when Marcy walked out of Fleur's life forever. She was upset about losing and was angry with Fleur for being the better chef. Ten days after the cook off, Marcy set sail and never returned. Devastated, Fleur no longer wanted anything to do with the fruit. She locked it away for years.

When she turned twenty, Fleur decided it was her time to go out to sea, she had a few goals to meet. Her original dream about the recipe compilation was there, but two new ones were also present. She wanted to become the best chef in the world, and Fleur wanted to find Marcy and talk to her old friend. Her mother put the small lock box containing the fruit in Fleur's boat without telling her just before Fleur set sail. Her reasoning was she figured Fleur would want it, her mother didn't know about the fruit, she just figured her daughter had been saving it for a special dish.

When Fleur located the box during her sailing, she decided to save it for if she ever found Marcy. The intention was to give it to her friend as a way to make up for the fight that had driven them apart. That would never happen due to Fleur eventually eating the fruit. Her maps had blown away during a strong gust of wind and without them Fleur didn't know where to go, so she drifted aimlessly for days. Having only packed for a few days with the intent to stock up at the next island she visited, Fleur's food supply soon dwindled. After a day or two without food Fleur decided to eat the fruit. Afterwards, she felt strange and cold. This was how Fleur gained her devil fruit powers. Luckily the next day she stumbled upon an island and was able to get more maps and food.


Now five years later, Fleur is still sailing around alone and searching for Marcy. She hopes to find her old friend first before continuing with her other dreams. Fleur is still working on controlling her snowy powers, but is much better than she had been right after she ate the fruit. Fleur also now wants to visit alot of winter islands due to her being made of snow.

Abilities:

Chef's Secret - being a chef, Fleur has a good sense of which spices she should use with a dish. It may not be in the recipe, but Fleur will go with the gut feeling. Sometimes it ends up being an amazing dish, other times it ends disastrously. Fleur calls the process experimentation. She'll only do this with those recipes that she knows really well.

Dexterity - dexterity is described as being skillful in preforming tasks especially with the hands. Being ambidextrous, Fleur has rather skill dexterity. This is a good thing due to her occupation.  A chef/cook uses a variety of utensils to help them cook.

1 - the user of the Yuki-Yuki no Mi fruit gains control over the element of snow, and are able to become snow to avoid attacks. The user can create small snow flurries and control any other snow in the vicinity.  The snow can be used for simple attacks like a snow 'whip' or 'sword'.  The snow created resides in the temperature range of -2 to 2 Celsius. The user is no longer afflicted by colder temperatures.

2 - The user retains all abilities from level one. The snows temperature drops to be between -17 to -2 Celsius. The user becomes able to create non-living snow creatures and control them partially as if they were alive. The small flurries from level 1 become stronger and larger like what would be seen in an average snow storm. The users snow can be combined with snow from the surrounding area to either camouflage the user or be used in attacks.

3 - The abilities of levels 1 and 2 are retained. The possible temperature of the snow once more drops to be below -17 Celsius, with the user being able to control how cold it gets. The snow creatures now have more mobility but are still controlled by the user. The snow storms that can be created can now become full blown blizzards. The user is also able to preform full power attacks. (Like Monet's ten later Snow Hut)

- Heat (Being as Fleur is made of snow, heat doesn't usually sit well with her. At most it makes her uncomfortable)

Fleur Punch - Fleur grabs ahold of her target with one hand while pulling the other back. She then strikes forward, aiming for the face or gut, depending on why she's punching them.

Fleur Kick - Fleur pulls back her foot and strikes forward aiming for the opponents feet or knees.

Snow Sword Slash 1 - the user creates a thin sharp blast of snow that is used to cut opponents. It is usually slashed downwards to the ground from above the opponent.

Snow Whip Lash 1 - an uneven blast of snow is used to lash the opponent as if it were a whip. It does emit a slight cracking noise at times, much like a whip.
