Appearance:

With a height of 5ft seven and brown eyes, Teddy has wispy, wavy brown hair with blonde tips which reach out quite far curling up at the ends just like the ones that make up his fringe. With a smooth face, thin lips and expressive eyes his face conveys an incredible amount of emotion. With a long slender neck he often wears something to cover it up. Teddy's torso isn't a muscular one as it is more thin with definition of which there is little. His torso is mostly covered by a dirty grey tank top and over his right arm stretching from his wrist to his shoulder and on to his right pectoral muscle is a tattoo of clockwork cogs. Each one overlapping the other. Worn over the top of this is a black jacket which he always leaves open. This jacket has two luminous yellow | green stripes leading down  from the shoulders, around the top of the sleeves & the bottom of the sleeves. With a high collar it covers up most of his neck as well.

Around Teddy's waist a thin black belt is worn holding up his black pants which are much the same as his jacket except they have the luminous stripes stretching around the bottom of the legs. Up the right leg in white writing it reads 'Crosshatch' On the knees of these trousers it had black knee pads built in place Over his hands covering them he wears black finger less gloves. From his neck he often has a pair of dog tags hanging. These are left blank so if he ever meets the day he thinks he might meet his end he can sign them then and not before.

Personality:

Teddy the Friend
Light hearted, Teddy is a friendly guy whose willing to help those he befriends. Armed with a trustful nature he often finds himself later wishing he'd been more observant over their the person as he tends to not feel he should be as trusting. Willing to give anybody a chance he believes firmly that everyone is born good until their corrupted. Corruption is something he detests along with people who're corrupted and can't see the error in their ways. Seeing the world as a place full of friends he hasn't met yet, Teddy dislikes the idea of not being able to help others out of the problem filled pits some have fallen into. So when he gets the chance he is over the moon.

Teddy the Pirate
With a strong desire to become a notorious pirate, Teddy loves the idea of not just being a free man but being a pirate. The life of a pirate sounds like possibly the best one he could ever have. Sailing anywhere without a care, having your name known far and wide and having people look up to you. Fearless with a few ideas in mind as to what he hopes to aspire to in the future, Teddy can't wait to get his teeth stuck in to his own adventure. He loves looking out imagining his own journey and can't wait to take his first steps into his own adventure, crafting it and making it all his own. The sheer thought of crafting his own story among other pirates exhilarates him.

Teddy the Captain
Pushing forward and thrusting himself into the Captain's role, Teddy has to admit he's not perfectly qualified for such a position of power as he's never really had one. Pushing himself into the lime light he has a desire to be seen as something of amazing power and notoriety, but can't quite figure out his leading style. He has a hard on for leading though even if he's no idea how to lead. With no real idea he often looks to others for ideas on how he will lead, but feels he has allot to learn mostly due to him acting on a whim and making rash last minute decisions which are never good and always lead him into trouble of ridiculous amounts.

Background

Growing up in the South Blue under the parents of two pirates, Teddy was brought into life with an already well placed dislike for any figure of authority who attempted to kill or capture his parents. The man's parents were both members of a pirate crew which were causing trouble in the South Blue and whilst the crew caused havoc, they left Teddy aboard the ship in their rooms to avoid him being seen as a pirate as they felt he should be allowed to choose his own life.

Over the years his parents roamed around the seas in hopes of gathering a vast wealth. Growing up without his parents around much, Teddy turned to reading whilst the crew were focused on fighting off hordes of Marines. Whilst Teddy read through book after book, he finally came upon a few stories of Gol D Roger. Reading how he had become a legend among pirates, Teddy started to look into other books about piracy. He had grown a liking for the life of a pirate, but if he was honest with himself not entirely convinced it was what he wanted to be. Whilst still travelling with his parents from birth to the age of 15, he was sent off for a supply run into the town. Whilst in town he collected the supplies needed and returned with them. Whilst the ship remained docked on the island for a few days, Teddy found himself watching this man who had been wondering around the town mumbling to himself. His clothes all worn down and mumbling to himself about an evil presence in the town, he'd been told the man suffered from some type of madness or was a drunk.

Teddy didn't believe it though, during on of the days he'd seen the fear in his eyes and it looked genuine. Following the man back to his home in the sewers, Teddy discovered he was sitting and speaking to a fruit about devil's demons and various other creatures. Hearing Teddy, the man turned around and started to question him about why he was there and more. He claimed it was general curiosity about the man's words. The man attempted to curse Teddy away, but the more he cursed the more Teddy was curious as to what he was hiding. Pushing the man aside and seeing a strange fruit, Teddy was attacked by the mad man. Screaming at him and telling him that the devil had sunk its clutches in and they should be let go, Teddy was being pulled away from the fruit.

Slamming the man on his back against a wall and kicking him in the face, Teddy questioned what he meant by the cursed fruit with demonic powers. Blurting it out in a violent gesture, the mad man tried to talk him out of it, but instead upon hearing about the powers it would provide, Teddy snatched it up and ate it. Screaming in fear calling him a devil, Teddy was attacked once more. The screams and shouts from the fight alerted near by marines who arrested the two.

The mad man was locked in prison for theft from the marines, whilst Teddy was let free after explaining the mad had assaulted him. Heading to the docks he could see his parents had left without him and understood their reasons for doing so. Glancing over his hands he pondered if what he'd said about the fruit had been true.

He doubted it.

Heading to the docks he thought about what he would do with his life. Whilst the marines joined him asking him what he was to do, Teddy mentioned that he wanted to find his parents. Stupidly mentioning they were pirates which he still regrets to this day, he was attacked. Whilst being beaten up and threatened with arrest, Teddy managed to obliterate the marine when he got the cuffs on him. Teddy inflated them around his wrist until popping point. As they exploded the marine was sent flying and a crowd was drawn around him in minutes. Looking at the body which was left behind, Teddy decided it was time for him to run. He hadn't agreed to being a pirate, but as he ran from the crime scene, he felt a sense of accomplishment. He'd just killed a marine with such ease and it had been fun too. Feeling his heart beating wildly and a sense of adrenaline surging through his body. This was the life for him. The books he'd read and the adrenaline which greeted him told him that the pirate life had chosen him. Teddy started to come to terms with this fact over the next 6 years in which he trained himself with his devil fruit and even watched how other pirates recruited their crew mates. He started to research books about the grand line, pirates & devil fruits. Discovering there were other people with fruits far more powerful than his own frightened him, but at the same time excited him.

It may not have been his first choice, but now Teddy had to admit, the same reasons his parents had gone into piracy were now the same for him. The excitement of the crimes, the adrenaline of breaking the rules and the freedom to do as they pleased whenever and wherever.

It was a pirate's life for Teddy.
