Serious: Something fishy... YSYWTXt

A day had passed since The Canvases rescued the slaves from the auction, the group have now been sailing in a raft, aimlessly. An island had recently come into view in the distance, it was too far way to examine how the island looked like but at least it meant that the group could gather some supplies soon, perhaps even a new ship. But for the time being, they were in a raft with no food whatsoever.

MM sat at the front of the raft, he was no longer in his fake guard get-up and was wearing his usual clothing. His eyes were focused on the island which had come into view, they definitely needed to get a bigger ship so hopefully this island would provide them with one. Not only did they need a ship, they also needed food and a name for their group. Ah, so many things to do.

"So, how is everyone?" MM asked, to make things a little lively since it was getting awfully silent.

As the raft approached the island, he couldn't shake off the feeling that there was gonna be some trouble soon.

(OOC: Terrible intro, sorry guys.)

Sango was clutching his stomach as it rumbled. Boy was he hungry. It had already been a day without food, as the three crammed together on a small raft.

"Hungry."

It was getting a little quiet, and Sango didn't really have much energy to talk. He wanted some food. Good thing they were approaching an island. The island was in their sight, and they were almost there, so close to food.

Little did they know how much trouble this island would bring... Currently a group of fishman pirates were at the island, and they would be the future opponents of the three musketeers or whatever the group would be called.

Leiko rolled her eyes as she sat on a barrel. It held within it the puppet she had made in her previous venture, of course it was a little bit squished in, but at least she had something to sit on, rather sitting upon say... The floor. Yes, the other two had no food whatsoever, because they were too thick-headed to think that being on a raft would mean a long journey.

She munched on her apple, she only brought a few and she was on her last one. With its predecessors, she ate quietly so she didn't have to share, but now since the island was in sight, she didn't have to pretend she didn't have anything anymore.

She sat with her legs crossed, with her same near-emotionless smile as they approached the land, one hand rested upon her right leg while her other holding the last apple that she already took a bite out of in the other. The barrel didn't really contain anything that heavy, so it wasn't really much of a problem to keep it on board.

She took another loud bite.

He nodded as he heard Sango reply to his question, he was feeling a little hungry as well. It was unwise that they forgot to pack some food but he didn't have much beli so it wasn't really his fault. The raft was pretty close to the island now and from the looks of things, the island looked pretty small.

MM then heard a loud bite coming from the back of the raft, he turned his head only to see Leiko munching on an apple. She had some food yet she didn't bother to tell them, how kind. MM shrugged it off, they were approaching an island so they could get some food there.

After a few short minutes, the raft docked and MM got off the raft. Straight ahead, there was a set of stairs which led up into the town.

"Alright, first things first. We need some food, keep your eyes peeled for any food stores you find." MM said as he approached the stairs.

As he climbed the stairs, some people began to eye Sango. They looked a little nervous.

Sango began to notice that every human besides his now comrades, looked at him in a weird way. Before it was more of a disgusted look, now the expression had turned into fear. Sango just tried to ignore it.

"Let's split up and try to find food as soon as possible. Then meet up back here."

After stating his idea, Sango took off on his quest to fill his roaring stomach. After entering town, Sango entered the nearest bar. Walking in, Sango saw a fishman! It was Catch! Catch was somewhat of a friend, more of an acquaintance from Fishman Island.

"Catch!"

Turning around, Hatch the fishman turned around, waving with one hand while his other two were holding some meat.

"Ey Sango long time no see! By the way, my name is Hatch."

Sitting down, the two began speaking, getting caught up with each other. So Hatch was a part of a Revolutionary fishman crew. So Sango told him he was a part of one as well. He learned a revolutionary is a group with a cause. And Sango heard his leader tell him their cause and purpose. It was quite nice seeing a fishman outside of the island. After a nice chat, Hatch gave him a bag of meat, and Sango went on his way back to the dock to meet up with his comrades. Also in his hands, was a den den Mushi. Hatch let him know the crews could make some negotiations. It was quite a successful search for food, he got more than enough plus he found something that could help his crew.

Leiko stood up and stretched as they were about to approach land. She picked up the top off of the barrel and held onto it as she attached her string to the puppet with the other one. It stood up and stepped out of the barrel, before she put the lid back on. She sat back onto the barrel as her puppet picked it up, still wearing the guard uniform. It was hollow, but it should support her weight. Maybe she should made the full product some time, but it takes ages.

The thing placed the barrel onto its back, bent over forward and placing its hands at the bottom of the barrel so it doesn't slide down. She had her hands on the strings, and turned around so she faced forwards, with her legs around the puppet's head, as it started to walk with them. Who needed slaves when her puppets were only as energetic as she felt? They were so last year, or couple of days.. Since she's with people who want to see them freed.

Stairs... One of her worst enemies when using puppets. "I'll catch up." She said to the other two, as she started the long process of going up them. She had to balance the puppet so it didn't fall to the side when it lifted one foot, and so forth.

MM tired his best to gain some food for his crew but his mask scared away most of the shop owners so he wasn't that lucky. He was empty handed so far and he doubted that he'd get better results by trying again, it'd also be time consuming. The best course of action was to just give up and return, hoping that either Leiko or Sango got some food.

A good 45 minutes wasted, not even a crumb of food. He returned to see Sango holding up a bag and den den mushi. Oh? Did he manage to find some food?

"Ah, Sango. My attempts to get us some food... failed. Did you perhaps do any better? " he asked, probably already knowing the answer.

While he waited for a reply, he wondered were Leiko had gone of to.. was she still at the stairs?

It took Leiko around ten minutes to get up the stairs. She could’ve just picked up the puppets and done it herself, but she really should’ve just asked the other two to do it. The fishman looked strong, if only he had waited. But anyway, she made it up the stairs and now… Yes! They were looking for food.

She moved the puppet up to the nearest store, hopping off of it. As soon as she entered the building, all eyes were on her. All… Three of them. The storekeeper and some guy with an eyepatch. “Does this store sell provisions?” She asked.
“Er… Yes, we ‘ave a couple of sacks of sated beef n’ such.” The storekeeper said, pointing to the left. She walked over there, looking at it then at the man behind the desk. “…Right.” He said apologetically, moving around and picking up the sack for her, walking outside and packing it into the barrel. “Anything else?”
Vegetables and fruit.” She replied.
“You’d have to go to the grocers for that, and… One hundred beli.”
She took out her purse and flicked a few beli notes toward him, to which after a coule of fumbles, he managed to catch. She moved the puppet toward her next destination.

She went around collecting supplies and putting it into the barrel the puppet had. Now she had to find the masked one.

"Yep!

Arriving to the spot they split at, Sango dumped the sack of food. The amount he got was more than enough for three people to survive for a month. However, Sango's stomach was still rumbling. He felt like he could eat the whole bag for dinner. And he probably could... everyone else was probably hungry as well, so the bag had a good chance of being emptied tonight.

Sitting down, Sango pulled out some meat and began to jam it down his throat. Finally eating, Sango began to stare at the den den mushi. It would probably be a good idea now to tell MM about the potential alliance. It would be pretty fun for Sango to team up with his old buddy Hatch.. No, was it Catch? Oh well.

"I saw an old friend of mine. He was a revolutionary as well, like us. He gave me the den den mushi so we can contact him. I suppose you would do the negotiations, since you are our leader."

Throwing the den den mushi, Sango mowed down another drumstick. Food is so great... Reaching into the bag, Sango threw another chunk of meat after he threw the snail phone. Things starting to look a lot better... Maybe they could even get a ship, it seemed like Match had a good bit of money getting him the food without hesitation.

Little did they know.

MM was glad that Sango had gathered some food for the group, he was also feeling a little ashamed that he failed to get some himself. He saw as Sango shoved some meat down his throat and sighed.

"Be sure to leave some for me and Leiko. We don't want all the food to be eaten on the first day, right?"

Once Sango had finished swallowing and chewing his meat, MM was about to ask him about the den den mushi however Sango answered before he could question. He nodded and caught the den den mushi, an ally this early in the journey could be pretty useful.

Bidididi

At that moment, it began to ring. MM took a deep breath before answering it. A deep voice began to talk.

"Hello. My comrade has come to me saying that you were willing to ally?"

"Indeed we are. Would you like to meet in person or?"

"I think meeting in person would be excellent. Meet me at Crystal Cove in 10 minutes."

"Crystal Cove?"

"Ask around. It's an extremely popular place so I doubt anyone wouldn't know about it... heheheheh.."

Once the person was done chuckling to himself, he hung up before MM could say another word.

"What a delightful man. Not even bothering to say goodbye... anyways, where on earth has Leiko gone of to?"

Leiko moved the barrel down to the middle of the square and sat upon it. Putting the puppet next to her, she sat down and rested her head onto her hand, with the hand rested upon her knee. Where were those two? Someone approached her. “Er… Do you… Need anything, miss?” she looked up to him, the sun was behind his face and she could barely see. “An umbrella.

A couple of minutes and a load of civilians later, there was a town-square picnic going on. Like, just over a dozen people. She hardly even remembered where they got the idea of a picnic from, might’ve been asking for some orange juice. She sipped from a straw as people poked her puppet.  Meanwhile, she’d just wait and take things that people kept offering to her. Sigh, there was only one way to find out, and it didn’t include sitting around waiting for them to find her. “Anyone seen a fishman?” She asked. “Yeah, that way.” One of them pointed.

She walked off in that direction, taking the barrel and puppet with her. More people joined the picnic and she guessed she just started something. Eh. She walked in the direction of where the man said and soon came across them. “That’s a lot of food you two’ve found.” she noted dryly.

Taking one more chunk of meat, Sango quickly ate it. He stopped for now, since the others needed some, and it would be handy in the future. After finishing, Sango listened in to MM's conversation through the den den mushi. He didn't expect a response so quick. Then, Sango turned to see Leiko. Looks like she found a good bit of food as well, since she was rolling a barrel around.

"Indeed! A friend gave the food to me. Now we are going to meet up with him at Crystal Cove, right captain?"

Sango glanced over at MM awaiting a response, and possibly him explaining the scenario to Leiko. Anyways... was there something funny about Crystal Cove? Maybe Sango didn't get the joke.. Sango wasn't sure where the place was at, and was eager to go back and introduce his friends to his new allies. Maybe Sango would know the other crewmates, the other fishman. There probably isn't anybody else he knew, since the island is so large. And maybe there were human members, so who knows if there would be other fishman at all. Sango was still looking forward to meeting Hatch again.

"Ah Leiko. Well.. I sadly didn't get any food..." MM muttered to himself before suddenly collapsing to his knees with a depressed expression on his masked face. (Like this)

He then got up and looked at a clock which was pinned up outside a store. They still had a good 7 minutes on their hands, maybe now was a good time to start asking around about this "Crystal Cove". MM approached one of the civilians.

"Ah, execuse me good si-"
"A-A MONTSER AND HE'S WITH A FISHMAN! RUN!"

The man ran away, dropping the stuff he was carrying. MM fell to his knees once more.

"Leiko... you ask around about Crystal Cove.."

Oh.” She said. “How useless.” She thought. Well, at least her efforts weren’t wasted, since the fishman was lazing around she had gotten the most food out of any of them.  She was the undisputed winner out of the non-existent competition and more importantly, she showed that she had more worth than the both of them.

At getting food, anyway. “A few civilians are having a picnic in the town square. I’ll ask them.” she said, watching the man run away without even taking what he had. She walked over to the unofficial picnic area and asked the person who helped her last time. “Thank you for your earlier help.. Do you know where something called the ‘crystal cove’ is?” She asked in her nice, sweet tone. Her puppet which carried the crate lurched behind her.

"What's wrong with me? Sango mumbled as the man ran.

Collapsing to his knees, Sango fell next to MM in the same position. The two froze in place in depression. MM failed twice. Meanwhile Sango has been continuously rejected by humans, almost every time since he met them. All of them had odd reactions around him. And so far in this town, the reactions have only gotten worse. Sango could only wonder why. Was it his frightening size compared to theirs? Or was it the fact he just looked different?

"Yeah Leiko, you ask around about Crystal Cove." said the depressed fishman, who was stuck into the floor like a statue next to MM.

"C-C-CRYSTAL COVE!? WHY IN THE WORLD WOULD YOU WANT TO KNOW BOUT SOMETHING LIKE THAT!?" the man yelled out loud as his face turned a pale color and his knees began to shake.

There was a sudden silence and all eyes were on Leiko, why would she want to know about a rotten place like that? The silence went on for a few moments until an elderly man walked out of the crowd.

"Just keep walking to the south part of the island and you'll see it. It's quite the building so it'll be hard to miss." he said as he pointed towards the southern direction.

"Wh-why'd you tell? You're sending that person to her doo-"
"Gah, relax. Things will turn out just okay. Those fishman won't lay a finger on us."

The old man continued to talk with himself.

Everyone let out a sigh as they continued to resume what they were doing , muttering stuff as "crazy old man" and "mad geezer" under thier breath. The old man chuckled before walking off. Mirror Man approached Leiko.

"Southern part of the island, correct?"

People glanced at Sango with dirty looks, they had been doing that ever since he got on the island. MM dusted himself off and began to walk towards the south.

"It's time we go and meet our future allies."

Sango sat patiently as he waited for Leiko to find the information. MM and him failed already, hopefully she would return with directions. Hopefully Crystal Cove was a nice little area. Sango imagined a beautiful beach, with crystals hanging from the sides of some mountains. If that was the cove, Sango's day would get a lot brighter. He had a feeling it would be fun seeing Hatch and the others. But his expectations probably weren't going to be what it seemed.

After several minutes of waiting around, Sango saw Leiko coming. Off they went! The souternh part of the island. There wasn't much detail, so maybe the cove was as huge as Sango thought! Here we go Crystal Cove!

"I'm ready to go! Follow me!"

The fishman was excited. Picking up the bag and slinging it on his back, Sango took the lead. Sango was a good navigator, so he headed to the southern end of the island. The directions were quite vague, but it was enough to get the job done.

Marching through the town happily, Sango began to notice the dirty looks... again. What was with these people? Sango was beginning to believe humans didn't like fishman. Whatever. Sango was gonna meet up with his fishman buddies anyways so it didn't matter. And these guys were going to be his allies. Maybe the day wasn't so bad after all.

These people hate fishmen even more than the usual cattle.” Leiko said, putting her hand into her hair and drawing it out. Some of the civilians that had started to scowl at her looked much, much more kindly toward her. It wasn’t her fault that her face charmed the masses, it was simply how it was.

They seemed to think they were going toward the cove first. “Where are we dropping the barrel off? It has food in it.” Did they truly think that she was going to have her puppet drag it all the way across the island? She walked with them, and expected both to suddenly realise their error and turn back, to which then she could complain about them wasting time and then her plan could come into action…

"We certainly aren't leaving it in that little raft. Who knows what'll happen to it? We need to keep it hidden, just put it near an alleyway and cover it with some piece of cloth, people would just walk by it." MM explained as he followed Sango.

He noticed the looks of the civilians and it angered him slightly, he hated those who disrespected his crewmates, he had the urge to give them a punch across the face however that'd be a waste of time. As the group walked, a large building came into view. In front of the building was a large black gate with a screen located to the left of it. Behind the gate was the building, the entrance was two double doors with the words "Crystal Cove" written fancily on them, the towards were also outlined with some sort of glowing material. The building was colored blue and the roof was colored white, on top of the roof was a large billboard, this bill board also read "Crystal Cove" but this time the letters were outlines with glowing light bulbs.

"What a building that is... impressive."

Sango had lead the way, and finally the had reached their destination. Crystal Cove wasn't a cove. It was just a building. At least that was all Sango could tell. He stared at the black gate, then the building behind it. Yeah this was Crystal Cove. Couldn't be anything else...

"Impressive it is, but this still isn't what I expected." Sango said.

Like MM, the fishman was still impressed by the building. It looked really nice, but the Sango still wasn't sure why it was named Crystal Cove. Guess they'd find out when they went inside.

(OOC: If the gate is open, ignore the rest of my post...)

How would the three get inside? He certainly didn't feel like breaking in, these guys were to be their allies anyways. Maybe the gate was unlocked? Walking towards the gate leading the way once more, Sango attempted to push the black gate, attempting to enter Crystal Cove.

Leiko clucked her tongue. No one told her what to do, so she left the barrel in the middle of the street, manoeuvring her puppet onto it. "Can you look after these?" She asked the picnicking townsfolk. They responded with a couple of yeses, one 'no' from a lady and a 'maybe' from someone whose gender she couldn't quite define.

She followed the others, it felt pretty alright not having to micromanage a puppet's movements for once. Eventually they reached some building that clashed in colour with its gates and roof. "Hm." she hummed, waiting for something to happen. Fishmen were supposed to be here too? Maybe there were more than just Sango-ones. He looked ugly as heck.

As Sango attempted to push open the gate, the screen which was located on the left hand side suddenly turned on. On it, was a fishman with a long neck and sunglasses, the fishman wore a fedora and had a piercing on his top lip. He was grey and his gills were visible on both sides of his long neck.

"Hmmm, I ask, who are you?" he asked as he looked at MM and Sango, Leiko wasn't quite visible.

"Greetings. A man contacted me through this den den mushi and proposed that we ally."

The fish's widened slightly as he looked at the den den mushi.

"A-ah. The boss sent you! Open the gates? I shall!"

The screen turned off and the gates began to slowly open. MM walked past the gates and began to approach the large building, once he was close enough, he pushed open the doors. He was a little surprised to see a large indoor swimming pool with other fishman swimming inside it, beside the pool was a number of foldable chairs, some fish laid back onto it and were taking a small nap. There was also plants located on the corners of the room, at the end of the room was a double door with the picture of an arrow pointing upwards on the left door.

"Not too shabby." MM commented about the room.

(The room kinda looks like this: http://www.covenantwoods.com/wp-content/uploads/2012/12/img-sketch.jpg )

Sango stared at the fishman as he let his boss do the speaking. It was a funny looking fishman, but Sango saw even weirder types of guys while he lived back home on Fishman Island.

After the gates began opening, Sango thought of all the money that went into the place. There was a nice gate with a cool screen. Then there was a huge building behind. And when they entered, it was even better than he thought! Inside was a spectacular pool, it looked like so much fun. There were even other fishman in the pool. The water so looked nice and clear, Sango was almost tempted to dive in. He still loved swimming, despite the fact his torn webbing would slow him down a little.

"Awesome! What else is in here?" Sango asked with excitement, knowing there probably wasn't going to be an answer unless a tour guide showed up, or if the other fishman heard him.

Serious: Something fishy... Empty Re: Serious: Something fishy...

Leiko let the others do the talking. She wasn't really even sure what they were supposed to be doing as a group. Did that masked guy even tell them his goals? IF so, she didn't remember. Eh. She hanged back and let them do the talking. Soon they were let in, she walked along, looking around before they went into a room.

"Adequate." she said, looking around. Actually, it was a little too plain and a bit on the small side. She followed along, not really sure what to do. She wasn't even a long-term member of the crew she near-literally just joined. It was typical and expected really, water in a fishman hideout.

All eyes were trained on the group as they entered the room, most of the eyes were on Leiko. The only visible human (MM has his mask). Their eyes squinted slightly and the doors behind the group suddenly shut.

"Well, it looks like we're unwanted guests." MM commented as he examined the facial expressions of the fishmen.

Suddenly, a slightly large fish man emerged from the back of the room and walked towards the room.

"What's a human doing here? And where's the rest of your crew?"

[ Johnny Creek ]
[Captain of the Deadly Droplets]

"Greetings, friend. This human is a crewmate, and this is my whole crew."

The fishmen burst out laughing.

"Hahah! A human in your crew? Only 3 people? PATHETIC! You dare have that lower class race in here!? Ya know what? I'm gonna have you and the whole village turn into dust, I'll show you how pathetic humans are! All these years, the village has been our slaves, paying us to spare their lives. THEIR ALL JUST A BUNCH OF DUMB BASTA-!"

MM clutched his fist as the fishman spoke, he also began to walk towards the fish. Once close enough, he whipped his fist across the man's face as he spoke. Once he had done that, his body began to change and transform until he almost looked identical to the fishman he had just punched, he removed his mask and placed it into his pocket. He revealed that his face looked exactly like the fishman!

"You've said too much. We all live under the sun, we're all people who inhabit this Earth!"

A bullet flew towards Sango and just missed him. It came from the fishman known as Hatch. He shook his head.

"I never knew a man like you would team up with humans, I'm sorry partner but this is the end for you."

Some fishmen approached Leiko (Let's say their stats are the same as hers).
