Dokeshi is tall and lanky, standing at 6'3 and weighing 160 pounds. He has pale skin that's practically white (not exactly like the face claim), with scars (not stitching, another slight difference from the face claim) all over giving him an undead look. The clothing he wears gives him a resemblance of a scarecrow and continues the horror theme, with his ragged clothes, including a pointy hat (looks like an old pilgrim hat with the buckle), a ragged pumpkin shirt with black sleeves, ragged black pants, and jester shoes. He also has rough blonde hair looking like straw.


Personality:
Dokeshi has always been a quiet kid since day one. Rarely, does Dokeshi speak. Only to get his point across, he does not bother to start or continue conversations. He's not good with conversations, but he's not anxious or anything. After growing up, Dokeshi began not to get nervous when speaking. He doesn't care what people think anymore, so making them feel comfortable is not a priority. All Dokeshi does is state his purpose or get the point across. You won't hear Dokeshi say "Nice weather" or "How's it going?" or any conversation starters along those lines.

No matter what the situation, Dokeshi usually remains calm and collected, but mainly aloof. He shows no emotion and is cold, often acting in a callous manner. After losing his first family, the people who actually cared about him, Dokeshi has always acted this way. Before he would try to impress others and was always respectful, now Dokeshi is indifferent and care free. He could care less about family now. Especially his biological father. Dokeshi has no regard for any crew mates and will disregard them if they even stand in his way.


Character History


Background
Carter Dokeshi was born in the North Blue, living as an only child with a busy father. His father was an underground broker, which Dokeshi was unaware of for the majority of his childhood. His mother had left his father after giving birth. She was also unaware of his job, which he revealed after the baby was made, causing the young lovers to break up. The two moved to the North Blue, from the Grand Line before this happened. The choice was made by his father. He wanted to live somewhere safe for his child. This didn't change anything for the relationship after he revealed the secret. Dokeshi's mother felt she could not live with someone who worked in the shadows, and knew it was dangerous living around him no matter where they lived. His father worked with big time names from supernovas to other underground brokers... This was a secret to his mother which caused her to abandon her child. She did not want to waste her life supporting the child and left it to the man she no longer loved. The father was left with no choice but to take care of Carter.

Him and his father lived together in a large house, not a mansion, but it was very large for a family of two. Dokeshi spent most of his time running around the house, by himself. His father spent his time in the basement, which Dokeshi was prohibited from entering. His father told him he was a busy man, and needed quietness to relax and do his job efficiently. Dokeshi did not think of it much, and continued playing with his toys.

Being by himself, not even socializing with his only parent, it created social anxiety for the child. When Dokeshi went to school, he payed attention and was always a good student. he behaved well, and just kept his mouth shut. He was always awkward, and felt nervous when something simple as somebody asking where the bathroom was.


When Dokeshi was 17, all he wanted to do was speak with his father. He just wanted to have a conversation with the man who made him. He didn't even know what his father's job was. Just once, I'll break the rules. Dokeshi sneaked into the basement only to find his dad talking to a big time name. This man was had a 210,000,000 head and even Dokeshi saw his name in the news from time to time. Why was this man speaking to his father? Dokeshi stayed around, and got an idea of what his father did. Dokeshi didn't even know what a broker was, but he knew his father did shady negotiations and ruined his life. That is why mother left. That is why I have no friends.

After this moment, Dokeshi ran back up and away from his father. He just wanted to be away. Dokeshi bolted out the front door, and continued running away from the house. He did not want any part of that man ever again. He would never return, and now, would live doing something else... but what? Dokeshi had no plans, he was just a unsocial boy with no talents or anything. He wasn't even finished with school and there was hardly any job Dokeshi would be able to handle with his scrawny arms and lack of education. For now, Dokeshi was just running away, as far as he possibly could.


When running away, Dokeshi went off to the inner city. There, he would find the men who changed his life. A group of clown thugs took him in. The group was a crew of bandits who dressed like clowns, literally. They were notorious for their brutality, as they murdered innocent citizens and ran things like a mafia. Often, they would switch locations, getting Dokeshi even farther from his father.

Dokeshi learned to kill people, and all his pent up rage from his father, is released every time he removes the life of a victim. But that wasn't all Dokeshi did. He was assigned to work around and fix things. The shipwrights taught him how to fix things, making him more useful. Dokeshi spent his time as an apprentice. He got the hang of it and began fixing things by himself, like a carpenter almost. Potentially he could be a shipwright. Shortly after he grew skill in building/fixing things, the members who knew how to create bombs began teaching him how to as well. He had a little more experience and it had been a year. Now he was learning to do something even more useful to the organization. Dokeshi began making bombs they actually used. They all realized this kid wasn't too bad after all.


One day while Dokeshi was alone at the base, he went snooping around checking the boss' office. Lying on his desk was a mysterious looking fruit, but the thing was it was inside a glass case. This looked like something valuable, obviously a devil fruit... if a devil fruit even existed. Dokeshi had heard the gang talking about them a while back. Sounded like nothing more than a myth, even though the way they described them it seemed more like fact. But Dokeshi still doubted it, until now. He wasn't going to pass on the opportunity to eat a fruit that would grant him with tremendous power. The power would also have the potential to make Dokeshi powerful. After he became powerful enough, he knew his father would see him again one day. This time he'd see him in the news. And when Dokeshi saw his face in person... he couldn't wait to see his reaction.

Dokeshi smashed the case open with a nearby tool. After doing so, he gobbled up the fruit. He didn't feel a difference. Maybe it was just a rare fruit that was extremely healthy or something like that... but it didn't taste good. After Dokeshi began to walk out, he started to feel as if his power were being drained. Looking down, Dokeshi began noticing his skin turning to straw. His nails looked like claws and Dokeshi became confused. What was going on? What even was the power of this fruit, assuming it was a devil fruit? Many questions flooded the youngster's mind and he had no answers.

After a confused process, the gang returned home. All of them staring at what looked like a monster, everyone began to notice the smashed case. This kid just ate a devil fruit. As the group got ready to pounds him, the boss stepped forward. Putting an arm out, he blocked everyone from Dokeshi.

"It's fine. The fruit doesn't matter. Let's just make sure he's safe and inform him about it. He's definitely our future now. Imagine his potential with this devil fruit."

After that moment Dokeshi began viewing the gang as a family. He began to enjoy life now. Dokeshi definitely made the right decision running away from home.

When Dokeshi began to understand his power, with the aid of the boss, Dokeshi began to get the hang of it. He had discovered he became a voodoo man. With the unique power, he could go far. The abilities of the fruit granted him quite a different power from the rest of the devil fruits. This one would be harder to exploit.


The crew became quite notorious at their prime, with their boss having a 30,000,000 beli head with several crew mates having bounties in the millions as well. Dokeshi never really took part in their crimes, he was just a part of the organization. Eventually the group was stopped, and all captured by a group of bounty hunters. Dokeshi was not caught, for he was at the base working on bombs at the time. When the news came to Dokeshi, he was quite sad. In fact, is was almost traumatizing. The first people who actually gave him respect were all now gone.

The feeling was like losing a family. The gang became more than just somebody he lived with. They were the family he never had. They didn't run away like his mother. They didn't ignore him like his father. They were close to him. And now he needed to learn to live by himself. He was 18 now anyways.

Dokeshi continued to work in the base, using it as a workshop. Eventually he left the island to continue what the group used to do and make himself a little money. Dokeshi ran his own little "protection" business, but he did everything by himself. There were no crew mates, but he himself was enough to get money out of the normal civilians. Occasionally, he would be ratted out which ended up increasing his tiny bounty. It wasn't high enough to make him notorious or anything, he did relocate frequently.

With his bomb making skill, his fruit, and just his intimidation with his ax + his look, it scared the heck out of most people. Still to this day, Dokeshi has continued terrorizing random citizens. He has not progressed far, but soon he would decide to make his advancement to become the news of the Grand Line. All he wanted was his father to see him, and knowing he was an underground broker, one day when Dokeshi becomes a supernova, he would see his father again.

Dokeshi can fix things easily since that's what he did for several years. He can be a shipwright if he wants, all he would need is a little more studying and he's good to go.

Dokeshi can aslo create bombs since that's what he also did during those years. It takes a little while so the bombs must be made in advance.

Dokeshi carries a small hatchet. The hatchet is black, both the handle and the steel. The weapon is not very long, only being 2 feet in length. The handle is the majority of the length, which is wrapped with a black cord. The length of the blade is approximately a foot as well, except it is going outward like a right angle. There is a cord on the edge as well, which can be used for holding or hanging.

Weapon History:
Dokeshi found the weapon in the base. After hearing the news, Dokeshi searched the base for anything he could use when he would live on his own. Aside from all the tools he had been using, he found a hatchet. The hatchet looked nice and Dokeshi decided to keep it. He preferred it over a sword or any other weapons. He found it a bit more unique, using a tool as a weapon, and it still useful. Ever since then Dokeshi has still been using it.

• Social Awkwardness would not make a person reluctant to speak, it plays the part in the sense of making a person overly self conscious. Such as making them feel uncomfortable when doing everyday ordinary things knowing there are others around watching them.

Parents- No his mother was not aware of his father being an underground broker until they had the child. So she abandoned him and the child for she did not want to live with him or support the child. They were a young couple. Wouldn't imagine a young lady keeping a child by herself as a free choice. Re worded.

People know what his father did? Where is this stated? The only people who know his job are the people he works with.

in your bio it says that he discovers his dad is a broker to the underground and this is why he has no friends indicating that people other than those his father works with know about his life. See you've used the fact that your dad is a criminal as a reason for Carter to have no friends but this only works if people other than criminals know he's a criminal, but then you've said no one but the people he works with knows. Its contradictory.
