Some time had passed since the last expedition of the G-7 trio against the black arms dealer syndicate known as the Bandoliers, as had become routine practice for Alexis, Colton and Akira they sat around the marines table sipping from their cups of tea. Akira was still bearing the effects of the fighting with taped up ribs and a slightly tender face but equipped with a new wardrobe that he was still trying to get to grips with.

Holding his arms out to his side he spinned slightly with his hips showing off his newly accquired garments before chuckling.

"What'd you think ? Not bad eh?"

The reason for the change of attire had been Akira's promotion to Commodore, some of the higher ranking marine figures suggested that he wear something more suitable and respectable in relation to his rank which was quite high in the marine ladder. Both swords had perished in the battle and a sole sword now sat at his side, iti was a gift from Commodore Hayward for his promotion that he had given to him befre he had departed foro the Grand Line where he had been reassigned.

The Blade was black steel and intricately designed and was one of the few Saijo O Wazamono swords which where the seven highest qualityblades in the world, it's name was Cherry Blossom which just seemed to fit well. As he sipped from his tea Akira remembered the promotion gifts he himself had rustled up for his two proteges as he clapped his hand and looked at the two and smiled.

"Congratulations on your promotions, Both of you I'm exceptionally proud oft he progress the both of you have made in the short amount of time we have been together..AWWW COME HERE" roared Akira as he grabbed both their heads undereath his arm and kissed them both on the forehead. Releasing his grasp he diffused the awkwardness with the arrival of his presents.

"Almost forgot, I got you both something"

Reaching down beside him, Akira pulled out two boxes and passed one slightly larger one to Alexis and a smaller one to Colton as he grinned and waited for them to open it.

As Colton sat sipping his tea he placed a hand to his cheek, the swelling had gone down from his fight with Clement, but it was still a little sore. Placing the cup back down again, Colton looked across to Alexis then at Akira's new attire & blade. He seemed pretty happy with it.

"Yea sir, its a nice new blazer. Very nice"

Looking over his new blade, Colton thought back to the sea stone weapons he'd encountered before hand then looked at Akira.

"That's not a sea stone sword is it?" he asked curiously realizing if that was indeed what it was, then that sword was much more terrifying than the engraved cherry blossoms gave off. As he congratulated them on their promotions, Colton smiled and shrugged it off. Even though now he could wear whatever he wanted due to the grand promotion of Recruit to Warrant Officer, he still chose to stick to his purple shirt, dark skinny jeans & boots. It was just comfy and that's all that mattered. Although he now carried his guitar around with him on his back much more. Over the main body was a picture of ash drifting back 'n' forth.

When Akira reached forward to grab their necks, Colton allowed him to do so only to reform his neck beneath his head which hadn't moved. He wasn't letting Akira give him one of those sloppy kisses.

As he handed over a box to the two of them, Colton raised an eyebrow.

New Plectrum? as he opened it he caught sight of something a little different to a new plectrum. Oh!

Lifting it, Colton looked over it and then looked over to Alexis & Akira.

"A sea shell, you really shouldn't have." Colton replied trying to seem grateful before he placed it in the box again and smiled back at Akira.

Alexis rubbed her nose, it still hurt a little from being broken from that fight with the lady who wasn’t smart enough to actually use her guns, she put up one hell of a fight though, and nearly beat her if it wasn’t for the bottle. She hated cheating, but hey.. Making use of the local resources. Yeah, that was it. Alexis glanced to Colton and seethed so much one could swear she blew steam out of her nostrils, he was a higher rank than her? What the actual f*ck? She did just as much as he did, if not more! Granted, she didn’t actually see any of his battles but still! What the hell?

Alexis was lost in her angry stare at Colton, not noticing the Akira-hug until it was too late. “]Er..Yea.” She grumbled, getting hugged by her Captain, though Colton also did as well. Still, because of her new rank she could wear whatever she wanted, so she went with blue overalls and white shirt, just like before she entered the marines, minus the blue cap. She did skip over a few ranks apparently, either that or she just forgot about them, but whatever. She caught two people and got promoted, now she can wear whatever the heck she wanted, profit.

Akira gave her a box, aaaw ye boi a present! She shook it, then scratched it open. Inside were some knuckly-things! And they didn’t even count as cheating because they would fit onto her hand! She glanced over to Colton and he got a sea-shell. HAHAHAHAFOCKYOU

“Hoi! Fanks, commordaur!” she grinned, trying them on and then attempting to test them out on Colton’s arm, he’s made of ash, he could just slip out of it like the usual f*cking coward he is.

Tilting the blade that rested on the table towards him Akira listened to Colton's comments on the blades, "Not Seastone, It's a Kokuto a Black Coloured Blade. It's one of the highest quality swords in the world though, there's only 7 of them . Three Classes, Kokuto like this, Meito a sword that has gained it's own fame usually from it's quality of craftsmanship and finally Yoto there's only three in existence they are considered cursed and bring bad luck onto the wielder or so it's said"

Grinning as he passed the presents towards his two proteges their tw faces complete contrasts, Alexis looked like a child at christmas as she placed the weapon around her fists. Whilst Colton seemed somewhat displeased with his gift, smiling as he took another slurp of his tea.

"Not a Seashell Colton, It's called a Dial. You push the Apex at the top and it performs a function. THis one is a tone dial, it records sound. Might be handy with your guitar there" remarked the newly appointed Commodore as he turned towards Alexis who seemed much more jubilant at her Seastone Imbued Knuckles.

"I take it you like your new weapon Alexis? It's a fine weapon, but a nameless weapon any ideas?"

As Akira spoke about the swords, Colton felt relief, he didn't want to face another bloody sea stone user. Even though Akira was his captain it wouldn't take that much for an opponent to get hold of it. It was pretty dangerous for a devil fruit user to wield a sea stone weapon he figured anyway and Akira wasn't that stupid.

When he spoke about his gift being a tone dial, Colton repeated this in his head trying to figure out where he'd heard of these before. As Akira explained more about them he nodded and pressed the apex.

Pressing it again he heard Akira's voice.

This one is a tone dial, it records sound. Might be handy with your guitar there."

Smirking he looked at Alexis then Akira.

"Okay, I'll admit, that's quite cool. Thanks Capt-Commodore" Colton corrected himself. Touching again upon his cheek, Colton could feel how his cheek still pained a little. He reached for his tea and sipped a little more then looked towards Alexis's new weapons then at his tone dial.

As she tried to cut his arm, Colton noticed this and pulled his arm back. He hadn't really paid her much attention with her insults but now he kinda wanted to.

Holding his hand up with his fingers shaping a ball Colton generated some ash. Condensing it within his hand, Colton had quickly made a small bunny rabbit which hopped from his hand directly into Alexis's cup of tea.

Smiling as he looked at Alexis, Colton reached for his cup and attempted to finish it up in one mouthful.

She missed Colton, then he made a little rabbit of ash and threw it into her tea mercilessly. “Gaaagh!” she made a face-fault, stopping mid-swing. “You fokin’ arsehole! she snarled, slipping off her knuckles and placing them onto the table, putting her head upon her fist. Upon hearing that the weapon was actually made of sea-stone, she was delighted.

“’Ahahah! So if ‘ah shov’ this down ‘es deck ‘e can’t ron frum et?” Aaaw ye. Poking him on the head with the knuckles was a pretty great gift already, not only does it weaken him, but it stops him from running with that punk-arse fruit ability as well! Triumphantly she went to take a gulp of tea, only to remember that Colton tainted it just before sipping. Bloody hell. “So, woss’ tha’ nuws?” She asked. It was getting quite a bit boring now, sitting around. She needed action, a fight! Trying to punch the hell out of noodlehead was getting boring, especially the burns from the ash. And the smell.

"Well Colton, I am pretty down with whats up if you get me" replied Akira before bursting into a roar at laughter after throwing up some gang signs in what could only be described and quintessentially daddish behaviour. Noticing the pair of former recruits bickering once more Akira smiled iti was like having two children, well not really as they were both fully grown adults which only further highlighted their immaturity but their spirits were that of a child.

“You fokin’ arsehole!"

"That's an interesting name fr a weapon" sniggered Akira as he drank the remnants of his cup before resting it down against the table gently. Arching his brow at Alexis' statement the Commodore nodded, "Yes, that's how seastone works Alexis. It Nullifies the effects of all devil fruits thus making all Logia's 100% tangible as if you had Haki. For instance, you could now hit Colton here, or worse stab hi-" realising where this was leading Akira halted immediately before looking to Colton and facepalming realising that he may of just shot his protege in the foot.

"But of course that's not going to happen, is it Alexis ? Afterall he is your Comrade"

As Akira spoke about what Alexis could do with her new gift, Colton gulped, he was about to leave the room until Akira stopped in his speech. Feeling a little relieved he looked across towards Alexis. He already knew her feelings towards him and just shook his head.

"She can try it, but it won't end pretty."

Does stone conduct heat? Of course it does right? Colton thought to himself before looking towards Akira then Alexis.

"So what's our next job Akira?" Colton asked curiously. He was looking forward to the next job so much the second he'd asked the question he'd hoisted his guitar in front of him and started strumming a simple tune out on it.

Oh yes. Alexis grinned excitedly as she looked at her seastone knuckles, a warm fuzzly feeling felt its way into her gut as she imagined all of the fun she could have with the knuckles. She imagined Colton sleeping like the cocky little shit that he was on the boat they used to get around. All she had to do was sneak up and shove it down his shirt. Heheheh... Aaaw ye.

"Eerr.. Of course not!" she replied, scratching the back of her head and grinning. She an mess up other logias and give them to Colton as a present. But yeah, she did wonder what they were supposed to do now, she didn't want to listen to Colton's guitar all day long.

"Ah, I thought you might ask about that" replied Akira to Colton's question as he reached into his pocket to reveal three rolled up pieces of parchment before unravelling them and placing them in the center of the table and spinning them round with his hands so both subordinates could view the Bounty Posters properly.

"These are the Wilson Family, they;ve created a cult aptly named after themselves and from our intelligence it appears they've brainwashed the locals and have assumed control of the island. There criminals, dangerous, violent and incredibly strong Hayward sent a five man team including a Logia Class Devil Fruit User there over a week ago and havent heard thing back as of yet. Our Job is to take down these criminals, bring them to justice and save our fellow comrades if they re still with us. Any Questions ?"

Looking over the posters Colton raised an eyebrow they were quite the beardy lot. Scratching his chin, Colton looked over each memorising their bounties & faces. Looking towards Akira he asked yet another question curiously.

"So if they managed to take down a logia that means they're pretty strong, at least I'm guessing since logias aren't easy to take down unless your pretty special. But, do any of these guys have any special powers or sumthin' like that?"

Colton knew that if they'd brought down a logia he could be in trouble. He didn't like being beaten but if it was going to happen it was going to happen. Although with his knew powers to create dirt things might be just a little bit easier. He could coat himself in filth and form a nice little shield. Or at least he could try.

“Welp, loks loik Colton’s out of tha’ loop.” Alexis said, checking out the wanted posters. They should’ve called themselves the ‘beard gang’ or something to do with beards, since they all had beards. “O’ly crap they ‘ave big bounties, y’sure they’re not in tha’ grand loin or sumfin?” she asked. Well, hopefully one of them was a devil fruit user so she could sink her new weapons into him or her. Well, it’d probably be just as good if he wasn’t a user, then it’d be a bit easier to get to them.

Now, she was stuck on which one she should go after, she’d been fighting the weakest out of all of them, and for some reason the dumb bitch who attacked her last time didn’t even bring a weapon, even though her poster showed her with a gun. “So, wen are we going?”

Shifting his gaze towards Colton, Akira sat up as he spoke. "Marlow is a werewolf. Erik is a Logia user with the ability to manipulate a candy like liquid that can lead to sticky situations...if you'll pardon the pun. Finally, Curtis is a proficient user of Armaments Haki meaning he can completely nullify the effects of Logias. That clear everything up for you Colton ?"

As Alexis Piped up Akira once again diverted his eyes to match hers as he spoke "Big Bounties Indeed, It Seems that the Wilsons originally started in the Grand Line however transferred towards the Blues to try and monopolize them and assume control of them whilst the other pirates scratch and claw for control of the Grand Line and Beyond. "

Hearing the mention of a possible departure time Akira grinned once more as he remembered that a new crew mate was to be arriving soon, in fact any time now thought the Commodore to himself as he looked up towards the clock on the wall.

"As soon as our new member arrives."

As Akira spoke about the men who would be their opponents Colton nodded. A werewolf, a candy man & an armament haki brawler. As Alexis spoke about him being out of the loop and Akira confirmed her question about them coming from the Grand Line, Colton felt a sudden sense of realisation hit him. He'd never really felt fearful of most of his opponents. But this one started to worry him.

These men had come from the Grand Line and from the sounds of it were pretty psychotic too. This wasn't good. Akira was sure he could handle them though. As long as he was able to suffocate them or use his newly discovered Hai Hai no Mi skills he would prevail.

Raising his right hand Colton formed ash within his palm swirling it around in his palm slightly out of boredom Colton heard news about a new recruit. Looking towards Akira then Alexis, Colton shifted his attention towards the door wondering just who might enter. Would it be another female like Alexis someone for her to buddy up with or a male like himself.

Either way he just hoped whoever it was they weren't bossy. He really didn't need anyone harshing his mellow.

Tensing his fingers Colton slammed all of the ash within his palm together forming a clump of dirt. With the clump in his hand Colton formed a gauntlet out of it over his right hand. Hardening it the gauntlet became heavier and much thicker. Looking over it Colton stared to think about this being his way of beating the Armament's Haki user. The only problem was this was still just mud and not quite stone. Well not yet anyway.

Slamming his fist down on to the table Colton shattered the mud easily and watched it fall from his hand.

"Needs to be a little stronger." he muttered looking towards Alexis then finally Akira. Removing his hand from the debris his mud gauntlet had made, Colton opened his fingers and absorbed the mud from the table back into his hand. Reverting into ash and joining Colton the filth from the table was now gone and Colton was forming ideas for new techniques in his head already. Soon he'd be throwing out some new moves and taking down the bad guys with general ease.

The Hai Hai no Mi was the best thing that ever happened to him. It just made like that little bit easier.

“’Noo membur?” Alexis asked, looking toward the door, tossing one of her weapons up into the air and catching them, only sustaining a few small cuts as they land a bit wrong. Well, she guessed she should be worried more about the fat bearded men, they were from the grand line… With grands… And lines. She wondered who or what it could be, lots of different kinds of people out there, apparently. Though, she did notice something; how comes they were always fighting trios?

There were like, three bosses during the first mission, another three following it, now there’s three now. Well, she guessed the Commowhatever knew how to pick his fights. But now it’s four verses three, though maybe that logia on the other side which might even the odds against them, though they had one of their own so they can just go toss candydirt at eachother they aren’t going to do much unless the haki guy comes to play, which… She guessed, was he job to deal with of course. “’Ey wot tha’ fok are you talkin’ ‘bout a werewolf?” the blurted out, suddenly noticing the small little detail at the start.

She had this weird nervous feeling in her gut as she walked down the corridor, her heels making a clicking sound against the floor as she kept her brisk pace up. She didn't really know why she was nervous. She had done this a thousand times before. Meet a new crew and go on a mission. No biggie right? Well it kinda was this time considering it was sounding like she was joining permanently on this one. But surely that wasn't the case.

Sipping her coffee as she continued down the corridor towards the commodore's office Sacha looked down at the red marks her lipstick made on the white mug and bit the insides of her cheeks before mumbling "Non-stick, my ass." under her breath and then taking yet another sip of the warm beverage. Making sure not to spill anything on her blouse. It was newly bought after all and she wanted to look presentable.

Gosh she wasn't running late was she?

Quickening her pace a bit more so that she was almost half-jogging Sacha wondered just how long a corridor could be. But just as that thought went trough her head she had to skid to a halt as she was standing right in front of her destination.

Taking a deep breath Sacha took one last huge nervous sip from her coffee before she gingerly knocked three times on the door. Putting on a calm expression in hopes to hide her nervousness she opened the door, stepped inside of the room, took a small sip of her coffee and said:

"Hello."

Akira's eyes widened slightly as Sacha made her way into the room, the Commodore had been kept out of the loop as regards to who the new member the only pieces of information he knew about her was that they were a medic similar to himself as well as her rank. Gradually Akira's gaze turned into a smile as he realised that this woman was similar in age to him which he liked, it was nice to have someone nearer his age that could possibly help him control the younger recruits Colton and Alexis.

"Greetings Ma'am"

Remarked the Commodore as he raised his rather large hand into the air and waved towards the blue haired marine that stood beside the door with mug in hand before motioning for her to sit down beside Alexis on the free corner of the table.

"Please sit, introduce yourself"

The stocky frame of Marlow Wilson stood at the podium with his blue eyes staring directly at one member of the audience before shifting to another in rapid fashion as he laughed and run his taped fingers through his brown unkept beard, before tapping the tip of his toes against the wooden floorboards of the stage. The room fell silent as he bobbed his head up and down laughing to himself as a number of thoughts and sick feelings ran through his head as he prepared to deliver his sermon.

"I...I...I...WE have no followers, only brothers and sisters ..."

The patriarch stopped and looked up towards the mass of people sat awestruck hanging onto every word that rolled off of his tongue, which Marlow responded to with a slight amused giggle as he bobbed his head once more.

"I am the red...in a world of black and white, I am the absolution that this world needs... I am the wave that will cleanse this world of all unearthly desires...I ask you my brothers and sisters, fear not the army of wolves led by the sheep...fear the army of the sheep led by the wolf."

Oh no he was hot. Really hot in fact. So hot she had to take a swig of her coffee just to keep herself from squealing. 

Biting the insides of her cheeks as she realized she'd be seeing that face pretty much every day from now on for at least this week Sacha had to fight not to make her smile look strained as she returned his gesture. 

Deciding to avert her eyes from him Sacha looked around at the other two around the table as she took a seat, they didn't look too bad. Maybe a bit young, well younger than her at least but she didn't really mind that. They also looked a bit more rugged than herself but then again she had spent an hour picking out nice clothes to wear today. Mostly since making a good impression was vital to her.

Clearing her throat Sacha set down her coffee mug onto the table and put on a smile.

"Well my name is Sacha, Sacha Kazapov. I'm a doctor and a devil fruit user." Making an ice cube in her hand she set it down on the table to demonstrate her powers and then continued:

"I don't know if there's really much more to say about me that you really need to know, i'm from north blue in case you were wondering and some of my interests are medicine, skiing..." as she spoke her eyes started trailing off over to Akira again as she kept speaking.

"...And f-..Ashion. Yeah that's about it." She said and ended her sentence abruptly as she mentally let out a huge sigh of relief, smooth save there. Deciding to switch the topic from her to them she looked around at the people around the table and asked:

"So what about you?"

Playing with his powers some more, Colton generated a large amount of ash in his hand then started to condense it making a few sculptures out of dirt. First he mad a rabbit with one floppy ear scratching itself, then changed this into a giraffe, afterwards he formed a bird and tossed it towards Alexis, however before hitting her he caused the eagle to separate into dozens of pieces of ash before reforming behind her and sweeping to the left to fly back to him.

Raising his hand Colton allowed the eagle to crumble upon contact and join his hand, that's when the door ope- no wait it had been open for a while now and some blue haired woman seemed to have been speaking. Noticing the ice cube on the table she put down, Colton leaned back on his chair and focused on the ice cube.

Raising his right hand he fired out a steady stream of ash which quickly circled the ice cube and rose into the air vanishing leaving nothing but a pile of water now dripping over the edge of the table. Turns out the heat from his ash swirling in a vortex was pretty powerful and it did a good job of heating stuff up too. Looking over towards Sacha as she had stopped talking Colton felt he might be expected to talk until he watched her turn her head towards Alexis and grinned. He just didn't really care much for this new recruit until she impressed him, an ice cube was nothing, maybe an ice monster, but a cube.

This wasn't some cruddy art museum or a maths class.

“Wow, Colton!” Alexis said at Colton’s making of ash figures, “Can ya’ grow som’ balls, tho’?” she added, resting her elbow onto the table. The door opened, looking around, she did an air punch. “Git ‘in! Anutha gurl!” She said, making room for her.
 
She introduced herself as a devilfruit user and he interest immediately waned, turning to face front she placed her hand on her rested arm on the table and picked at her fingernails with the other. When Sacha finished introducing herself, she was drawing invisible circles on the table with her other index finger. “Yea’, hi. Oi’m Alexis.” she said, looking around. Relly, they needed ANOTHER devil fruit user? They were supposed to be mystical and rare or whatever, but the only rare thing on the team was the one without it; and she could actually swim.

Akira's ears perked up at the news of another Devil Fruit user would be joining his branch, which wasn't exactly ideal seeing how only a single member of the division could technically swim although there were counter measures that he could put in place with his plants. The commodore's mind began to trail off as Sacha spoke before regaining attention and focus as the Lieutenant stopped speaking, so Akira had only really registered her name everything else had just slipped out of his brain.

"Probably my age..." said the marine under his breath as he took a mouthful of tea before shaking his head from side to side. "Well I'm Akira and I'm a plant man" said the Commodore as a branch sprung off his shoulder and a number of apples began to sprout from the branch as he yanked one of and took a bite out of the ripened apple before plucking another one before offering one to all three of his subordinates.

Watching as Alexis introduced herself and then turning his attention to Akira as he introduced himself and offered him an apple, Colton took the apple in his hand and instantly sent it into ashes from the sheer heat of his hand. Swamping over the apple the apple fell into ashes in Colton's hand as his own generated ash was absorbed back into his own hand.

Looking up and down over Sacha, Colton yawned.

"I'm Col---[Yawn]---Ryker" Colton said before he stretched and leant backwards on his chair allowing the chair to balance itself on the back two legs. He didn't much care about the new recruit or her powers, it was just another person to look out for and more effort to expend on someone else. Maybe one day he'd warm up to her, but as for now, he just didn't have the effort to make an impression on her, at least not a good one.

Alexis took her apple, biting it and continuing to laze around with nothing to do other than to peer at the new member, she wondered how well she'd hold up, though wasn't she a bit old to join the marines? Eh, plenty of old people who have been in the marines for a long time, but she wasn't sure if she saw an old person being a recruit.
