About a day’s ride from from the island known as Sabaody Archipelago stood an island. It wasn’t just any run-of-the-mill village that sat upon it, for it was wrought with hopelessness. It was the slave island known as Yamaika, where men and women were screened before being passed on to the slave auction. The thought of having them near so many criminals in the Archipelago had made a few people squeamish, so they were kept there for the time being until they could be passed on.

There was another reason why it was considered a slave-capital, it was also near the entrance (or exit) to fishman island, many came in and out this way, and having an island near it seemed to be a no-brainer for humanoid trafficking. Ships lazed about, ever on the lookout for surfacing victims they could take, they dotted the area like wolf pack to a mole who would take a visit upwards.

Sometimes they were lucky, catching mermaids and other valuable creatures that would gift to them beli beyond their wildest dreams, yet most of the time not many surfaced, slaving was frowned upon by many, and it was practically the only place they could do so without being interrupted by more savoury characters.

A shadow crept upwards from the sea. Taki swam up toward the surface, wondering what awaited her, well.. There were definitely a lot of boats on board? She hadn’t seen a human up close, , what were they there for? Perhaps she could ask the people on board what they were doing, if not she could simply beat the answers out of them.

There were many rocks outcropping the slaver's paradise, one could simply hide behind them and not hope to be seen from the other side, some hunters even slept in their boats from a lazy day of nothing.

"HE'S A FUCKIN' FISHMAN!"

These words were something Lyon really hadn't wished he'd hear upon his arrival on the surface world. But you live and you learn. He'd learnt on his departure from Fishman Island that fish folk such as himself would be captured to be sold at the Shabondy auction House.

Now here he was standing with three men around him. One was the same height as him holding a rifle aimed at him. He probably couldn't do much damage with a melee weapon due to his large round belly. The other two men were much smaller and raggedy and clutching their swords rather tightly.

Looking at the men Lyon shook his head.

"Gentlemen, might I ask you lower your weapons?"

"We ain't that stupid. You're worth allot of Beli!"

"Come on your reasonable men, you don't need to sell me."

"Oh yea, we do."

Taking aim on Lyon's head, the larger of the three men grinned as he took a step forward. Behind Lyon his two men were getting ready to slap a pair of cuffs on Lyon.

Fishman Karate: 100 Ton Dry Whirlpool

Spinning around Lyon delivered a powerful kick to the jaw of one of the two raggedy men. Breaking his lower jaw as the man was swept off his feet and knocked a good 10 feet to his right. The man with the rifle froze staring on in shock.

Looking at the other man holding a sword, Lyon spoke to him.

"You'll be next if you don't run away."

Nodding the man dropped his blade and turned to run for the hills. Smiling as Lyon turned back to face the larger man with the rifle he could see that he wasn't backing down. Although he was pretty terrified.

Squeezing the trigger, Lyon felt the bullet fly past and skim his shoulder. Grunting in pain he touched upon the wound then looked at the larger man. Rushing towards him Lyon watched as he quickly tried to reload his rifle.

"You're going to regret doing that."

Fishman Karate: 1000 Ton Tsunami

Slamming his fist into the large man's chest his eyes popped out from his eyes and his stomach deflated. Grunting loudly as his stomach quickly became bruised the man let his fingers go limp and the rifle slip from his hand.

"I told you not to. But you just didn't want to listen."

Hitting the ground and catching himself on his knees, the man slowly lifted his head and looked towards Lyon to find a webbed red foot slamming smack back into his own face.

Flying backwards and rolling over a couple of times the man hit the ground on his back unconscious. Cracking his knuckles Lyon shook his head as he started tutting.

"I wish some people would heed my advice sometimes."

Turning from the group of fools who thought they could bring down a fishman, Lyon touched upon his shoulder and tried to stop the bleeding. Either way he wasn't too bothered, he could find some bandages in town. Making his way into town he started to think about what others would think about a fishman in this town.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Post by Vaetric Wed Jun 04, 2014 8:20 am

Taki was excited, she saw many shapes upon the water’s surface. Were they some kind of animal? She was feeling a bit hungry. Maybe she should attack it from below, where she couldn’t see her? No… She’d better land on it first, just to see what it-wait, maybe they were ships? She’d seen quite a few shipwrecked ones in fishman island, and a few entering, but not while they were actually… Working. The sea was becoming shallower anyway, she was nearing an island. Maybe there were humans around whom she could test her strength against?

Breaking the water surface, she landed squarely onto the boat with a mighty stomp, accidently nearly breaking it in two. It wasn’t a very big one, couldn’t even classify as a ship, and she was as tall as the mast. “HOLY SHITWHATHEFUCKINGHELL?!” the reactions were varied, but that was near enough what most of them said. So it WAS a boat… She looked around, more boats.. She looked into the distance, an island! She winced and leaned forward a little, back pain…

The air felt great upon her skin, people unsheathed their weapons. They wanted to test her might? “A massive fishman! GET IT!” the people on the boat said, and more came around. She grinned to herself. “If that’s how you want it…” She muttered, raising both of her clubs and bringing them sharply down onto the boat. Humans could swim, right? She splintered the boat into two, causing it to sink into the waves. She wanted to go and see the town, see what was out there and she didn’t want to be stuck with the weaklings, stronger men had stronger ships, right?

She started to spin. Round and round and round. “Fishman Karate…EF-0 Waterspout” she launched herself out of the water as the ships began to circle around like flies. Propelling herself out of the water, the water that accompanied her continued to spin, a mini-whirlpool appeared where she left, causing the boats to have trouble navigating, though it still wasn’t quite strong enough to pull the boats up, just down as they were ripped away with the current. She, meanwhile had somewhere else to be. She made her way to the island, spinning with a torrent of water behind her, she was at least twenty or more feet in the air.

-

The town was full… Of slaves. Lots of humans, and loads of fishmen. They worked wish pickaxes, shovels, had exploding collars placed upon their necks as they walked “free”, carrying goods for their masters. In fact, the town was pretty large and quite splendid looking, fountains appeared at the end of every corner, and the omnipresent trickles could be heard throughout one’s visit. Not one building was made of wood, rather a yellowish orange brick that had eroded only a little due to time. Flowered pots appeared in front of every home, none were small enough to only be one story high. However, the most splendid building was in the middle of town square, which was much much taller than the rest.

However, there was not one average civilian. Each home was built upon foundations, and they were slaves. They were all slavers, or their families, or people rich enough to live there. If you had a badge, you were safe. If not, well.. You’d be liable to find yourself in chains.

Slave-Prince Jarrald sat upon his slave throne. It was an extravagant chair which itself sat upon slaves. There were ten legs, and each one supported by a human. Then there were those whom would support it themselves, the entire thing looked like a large spider-like being, all in all there must’ve been dozens of slaves carrying him and his fish tank. It was like a mini-suite, a table in front of him with a mermaid in chains upon the opposite side for him to oogle. He was a fat man in his thirties yet was already bald. His beard was greasy and his eyes were piercing with greed. He was sipping on a glass of expensive wine, he was rich yes… But not the richest. He was only a slave-prince, yet he held more weight than ninety per cent of people on the island. Not including the slaves. There were other trade-princes yes, but there was also that one position he longed for, and schemed for.

His “chair” moved along the town, accompanied by his personal guard. Burly, tough men with clubs. Damaging a slave TOO much was bad for business, so they didn’t carry sharp weapons. They beat their opponents unconscious and threw them into the pens, they were generally used to fighting unruly citizens in far-off places who didn’t quite like the slave prince’s treatment of others. Soon, he spotted a figure in the distance. It was all weird, a fishman? WITHOUT A COLLAR? “Sieze him.” he said to his guards offhandedly. Stupid, stupid fishman. Walking into his midst without an ownership, he was all his now. Just like his beauty in the fish-tank, she was his too. His mercenaries were his. The town was somewhat his!

The mercenaries made whooping noises as they charged toward Lyon, they hadn’t had an actual, proper fight in ages, they were getting a little fat, actually! Anyway, he’d probably just go down like the rest of them, they were so confident they only sent four people to actually get the job done, the rest went to get the chains ready on the ‘chair’.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Post by Docile Wed Jun 04, 2014 8:57 am

Quickly noticing something was a miss in this town, Lyon could hear the sound of pick axes in the distance clashing against rock. Shouting as if someone were barking orders and finally he thought he could hear the sound of feet. Like a stampede. Looking before him, Lyon caught sight of a group of four rough looking men charging towards him.

Smiling at them Lyon opened his mouth to speak.

"Hi there, you kind gentlemen wouldn't mind directing me to a hospital would you? You see I've got this small wound and I'd like to get it treated properly to avoid any infections and what not."

The longer Lyon looked over the men the more he understood these men weren't here to welcome him into the town, but more introduce him to a world of pain. Still being the gentleman he was, Lyon waited for a reply. Knowing full well that this could land him in trouble he wouldn't raise a hand until it was needed. However reaching for his striped neckerchief, Lyon pulled it up over his face and held his hair back with it.

Rubbing his hands together he clenched his right fist whilst he held this fist in his left hand. If combat was needed he'd happily dish it out. But would much rather avoid it, if possible. He wasn't one for a fight, but more so just seeking some form of first aid. Then he would continue on his journeys to travel and see the world above the confides of the mighty blue so many men traversed day after day.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Post by Vaetric Wed Jun 04, 2014 9:25 am

Hearing the sub-human talk, the men scoffed as they continued to run toward him, clubs ready to swing. They were quite a little fat really as they were used to fighting against, well… No one really wanted to mess with a Trade prince, they were like the Celestial Dragons of the island, they could do whatever they wanted because they could pay their tributes to the World Government, also because most of the slaves were held there, which were quite popular among the World Nobles. No marine presence, all mercenaries whom were loyal to one thing: coin.

The fishman was tall, though he was thin as a twig in comparison to them. They in fact differed in size, the tallest being just over six and a half feet. In fact, the fishman looked so laughable in comparison to some of the slaves they had, the tallest just decided to go ahead instead, the others just stood there, grinning stupidly . The tall, burly man flashed a toothy smile at him. “Injured, ‘ay? All the easiurh fur me!” he chortled, attempting to swing his bat down the club onto Lyon’s head, expecting him to stand there and take it.

-

Meanwhile, Taki had made her way to the town, the boats were behind her. She spinned, and spinned and spinned. She looked up and saw dry land in front of her, she landed upon the ground head-first, causing a small burst of sand where she landed. Emerging from the crater that didn’t even come to her knees, she looked around, rubbing her head. A town! She can go and see what humans are like now.

Not many people were around, a few were staring at her, though. Mostly people with some kind of collar, having rods in their hands. Catching fish? She stretched her legs, and began to walk into the town.

As expected one of the men attempted to hit him with his club. Swinging downwards towards his head, Lyon rolled his eyes. He hadn't expected these people to be after him too. With the club swinging down towards his head, Lyon executed his Fishman Karate: 100 Ton Dry Whirlpool technique to the man's kidney.

Spinning to the left out of the way of the club Lyon launched his foot out aiming for the man's kidney. The strength behind the kick would surely put him down for a little while. Looking at the remaining men Lyon replied.

"You see, I really don't want to have to hurt you all. But if you won't let me be, I might just have to do that. I only came to the surface seeking adventure and excitement, not sweaty man boobs like you."

Stretching forward an cracking his fingers, Lyon prepared himself for the next attack, he was pretty sure one would be heading his way soon enough.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Post by Vaetric Wed Jun 04, 2014 9:59 am

The three men continued to grin about three seconds after the fishman propelled the guy more than a couple of feet off of the ground, making a noise like “BLAAAAUAUGHHHH.”, falling just short of the slave-chair. Jarrald stared at his fallen mercenary, shrugged and pointed at Lyon. “What am I paying you for?” he asked, causing the mercs to numbly drop the chains and unsheathe their clubs, there were about a dozen with the ‘chair.’ Jarrald signialled his slaves to start crawling backwards.

Meanwhile, the three men closest to Lyon were still grinning until they noticed their comrade wasn’t there anymore. They turned around, blinked and then charged toward Lyon, two flanking one at the front. The frontal assaulter tried to do an overheard swing toward him, in an attempt to smack Lyon in the face. The one on the right attempting to do a left swing, while the one on the left tried a right swing. They seemed to know a little tactics, trying to give Lyon as little room for moving as possible, unfortunately thye lost their fourth comrade to give a true box attack.

-

Taki walked across the street. The houses were quite tall, even larger than she was! Did they have multiple floors? She heard a dull thud ahead of her, she continued to walk in that direction. Soon, she came across the view of.. Another fishman? Unlike the others, and some of the humans there, most of the people in her view didn’t have a collar, furthermore, some were carrying a… Thing, which a human sat on. A few of the humans looked to be trying to fight fishman. There were more of them up ahead, but she was interested to see what was happening.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Post by Docile Wed Jun 04, 2014 11:36 pm

Hearing a voice screaming about payment and turning to find a man pointing at him, Lyon shook his head. He didn't quite understand why someone was pointing at him but nor did he much care, but if he tried to figure it out he could probably figure it all out. Looking at the three remaining men Lyon clenched his fists tightly.

"Why must you insist upon violence?" Lyon asked tiresomely before leaping into the air and into a flip. Casting himself backwards in the duration of this flip, Lyon watched as the group charged towards one another due to the sudden vanishing act performed by Lyon.

Charging up behind one of the men Lyon spoke.

"You boys'll regret this little fight."

Fishman Karate: 1000 Ton Tsunami

Slamming his fist directly into the man's coccyx, Lyon then stepped backwards and passed his glance off to the other two men.

"Who else wants some?"

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Post by Vaetric Thu Jun 05, 2014 3:42 am

Ugh, the mercenaries were being useless today. Well, they were quite cheap, he would have to buy some more, maybe some with actual muscle, the strain upon his poor coffers chafed him, but these men had become just too incompetent, shame too. They were on sale. The rest of the mercs started to charge toward Lyon, confident in their numbers. The merc who had gotten hit by Lyon last time wasn’t even there anymore, just a corpse in the air. The two who were in front (or back) of Lyon looked at eachother and pointed toward the west. “HUSPITUL DAT WEY.” they said in unison. Of course, that would require going to the next left turn.

The dozen or so mercs continued to run toward Lyon, they were too many to be defeated. They’d just swarm him and beat him still! He can’t take on all of them, he was way, way too skinny! However, something was behind him. ”GIT ‘IM.” One of the burlier ones screamed, he was even taller than Lyon, and he had a little muscle over his massive bulk.

-

Taki grinned and squeezed her knuckles causing them to mae a cracking sound. She placed both of her clubs onto the ground, she didn’t even need them for now, none of them had any swords, she could figt them with her bare hands. Her couple of steps forward escalated into a run, she jumped over the fellow fishman, landing in front of the fat men. “I don’t think so!” she roared,, one against many wasn’t fair, and she wasn’t about to see him get overrun by weaklings. She doubted he’d lose against them, but the two who were fighting him pointed the guy to a hostpital, so he must be handicapped in some way. She, however…

Grabbing one of the fat men by the leg she drew him back and gave a sweep from the left, some of them were smart enough to drop to the floor, the others within range were tossed to the side, rubbing their heads. The mercs behind Lyon skedaddled, running out of the town. The merc Taki had in her hand started to try to beat her with the club, it stung. There were still quite a few more to fight, however. Despite her large size, they were still quite numerous, and tried to rush toward he, some moved around and attempted to engage Lyon with a flurry of swings.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Post by Docile Thu Jun 05, 2014 5:48 am

Catching sight of the sheer over powering numbers approaching him, Lyon decided it was time he made his exit as the two mercs shouted the direction to the hospital he nodded to them.

"That's more like it. That's all I wanted, just a set of simple answers on the way to the hospital."

About to head in that direction Lyon was caught off guard when a larger fishman than himself appeared and sent the fear of god into the mercs. As a few ran with their tails between their legs and the fishman was being hit by another merc, Lyon looked onward in surprise. Realizing there was still the sound of feet slapping into the ground, Lyon turned his head to see two mercs charging him. Swinging his club for Lyon's head, the attack was quickly avoided by a simple front flip.

Mid air Lyon delivered the back of his right foot to the merc's head and knocked him into the ground. Landing behind his flat body pressed against the ground her turned around and planted his foot firmly upon the merc's back.

"You people need to learn some manors."

As the next club came crashing down towards his head Lyon felt the pain surge through the back of his head. Hitting the ground, he caught himself with his hands and turned to look up and see the merc raising his club again for another hit.

Realizing his feet weren't that far from the merc's legs, Lyon launched his foot into the merc's knee and rolled sideways. Kicking the merc's knee backwards and breaking it, he grinned as he lay on his back. Dripping from the back of his head he could feel something warm dripping down his neck. Placing a hand there Lyon sat up and looked at his hand.

It was blood.

Looking at the merc who'd had his knee bent backwards who lay there screaming, Lyon got to his feet and approached him.

"You made me bleed. Don't make me bleed again or I'll break the other one." Turning to face the larger fishman Lyon looked at her in shock. It wasn't something he really expected to find another fishman on the surface.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Post by Vaetric Thu Jun 05, 2014 6:50 am

Taki frowned at the man whacking her thigh with a club while she had him by the leg upside down. She clenched her fist with oen quick movement, feeling a crack in his bones, he screamed as she let him go. She turned back to the mercenaries, letting the adrenaline rush through her body, she made her proper move. She kicked the apparently leader backwards, causing him to barrel past and into hi comrades. She swung left and right, and men went near enough flying. Her fists made impressions on her opponents’ bellies, she even slapped one through a fruit cart.

Some of the mercs got down to the ground, allowing another, much more muscular than the rest to jump on them and toward Taki. He was tall enough (and jumped high enough) to reach her head, to which he brought his club brutally down onto her head, causing it to break. That is, the club broke into two. The shocked merc didn’t quite expect that, and held onto her breastband. Taki winced, rubbing her head and something which annoyed her even more than the hit stopped her for a moment. Looking down, the merc was tugging onto her breastband, which in turn hurt her back. Grunting, she brought both her arms to slap him like a fly, and push him upwards. Fishman Karate: One hundred tiles pure punch! the merc barrelled past the rest of his comrades, leaving only the few that helped the muscleman to jump.

She reached down and grabbed one of them, before turning around and gingerly walking toward the fellow fishman. “Bunch of weaklings, aren’t they? Strange.” she said as a way of greeting him. He was quite small compared to her, but compared to humans he was tall, it seemed. She gripped the merc by the arm, “What is this place?” she asked, he put a hand on his mouth, signalling e didn’t quite wish to speak.

Listening to the fellow fishman who spoke to him about how weak they were Lyon nodded.

"Yea that's one word for them."

As she grabbed one of the mercenaries Lyon watched her as she asked where they were and he placed a hand over his mouth. Raising an eyebrow Lyon stepped forward.

"I don't think it really matters where we are right now. I just want to get to a hospital at the moment, my shoulder's hurting a bit, as is my head. You don't mind me getting bandaged up do you?"

Alright.” she said, stretching her back, outside of water she got annoying back pains. She stopped for a moment, before eyeing the fishman. “..Who’re you? I’m Taki.” she said, walking over to his side so that she could walk with him, she didn’t know where the hospital was. Well, maybe he didn’t know where it was so they could search together. She absent-mindedly dropped the merc onto the floor.

She didn't really even know him, but he was the only one without the collars, wait.. collars.. Is this some kind of place with.. What did they call it, she hasn't' really socialised with another for years, and probably no one knew about her.. Incident years ago up on the surface.

+

Meanwhile, Slave-Prince Jarrald took out his whip and smacked the slaves, urging them to go faster, he needed to get to another tavern or so, no… They’d just be incompetent again, what he needs… Are the guards of the Castle! He grinned evilly to himself, no slave gets away from him if he has anything to do with it!

And just before he left, he saw another fishman, except it was absolutely massive, yes.. Another fine edition to the fold, the other princes would be so jealous, and rue the day they decided to go on a trip without him!

"Lyon. Lyon Tsubio. Pleasure to meet you Taki. I know the way to the hospital. Well one of these guys told me the way, but I guess we'll find out if he was telling the truth or not."

Heading down the street following the directions that the mercenary had given him earlier, Lyon looked towards Taki.

"So what type of fishman are you?" he asked curiously. He couldn't quite tell, however he was pretty certain that he was clearly a clown fish. Touching upon his arm & head he could feel the wounds stinging. Looking at the blood over his fingers Lyon rubbed the blood off on his shirt.

Taki grunted as he claimed to know where he was going. "Orca. Suppose that explains my size. You?” she said the last part off-handedly, turning a corner and sure enough, a couple of buildings away on the left there would be a building slightly larger than the rest, though instead of the sandy yellow-orange bricks that are usually there, they were white. Gosh, Taki needed to sit down. “I’ll wait outside.” She said quickly, sitting down and leaning onto one of the pillars supporting the hospital. It gave a slight creak, but other than that it was all-go.

Should Lyon go inside, there was a female receptionist with an omnipresent smile, alburn hair and glasses with a white shirt and short skirt. She blinked twice, still keeping the smile if Lyon walked in. “I’m sorry, we do not help slaves, you should see the vet on the other side of the street for that scratch.” She said, managing to actually make herself sound polite, as she pointed to the building opposite to them. It was notably… Shabbier, and was a bit smaller than the other houses.

As she spoke mentioning she was an Orca, Lyon looked over her and then nodded as she mentioned it explained her size. Not wanting to insult he simply nodded until he realized the question she'd asked which was a full five minutes after she'd asked it. Snapping out of his sudden distraction he looked at her smiling.

"Sorry. I'm a clown fish. Just not nearly as funny."

Noticing the hospital just up ahead, Lyon headed up to the doors and made his way inside whilst Taki mentioned she'd be waiting outside. As the receptionist said how she wouldn't help and he was to see the vets across the street, Lyon paused for a second not quite sure what he'd heard was correct. Looking at the woman then to either side he turned around and made his way to the door.

Stopping short of it he turned around and looked back at her.

"I'll remember this." he said before exiting through the doors again. As he left he reached down and lifted a woman's scarf from the back of a seat. As soon as he was outside he wrapped the scarf around his head to soak up the blood. Tearing the lower half off he tied it around his other wound which was were the bullet skimmed him.

Looking at Taki he smiled and opened his mouth to speak before he zoned out completely and wound up looking at her feet.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

The orca fishwoman waited outside of the hospital. She looked left and right. People with collars... More people with collars. She frowned. It took her a minute, before she realised it wasn't some kind of weird fashion sense/ Why were the men trying to attack Lyon? She overheard the receptionist talk of slaves. She frowned. humans enslaved people, or was it just this town? It began to make quite a little more sense, now. Whenever she saw a person without a collar walk by, they frowned in her general direct, it was mostly children and females.

Lyon came back and blinked, letting out a small snort as he had some scarf on his head, making him look a little ridiculous. He was about to say something but suddenly decided not to, and ended up staring at her feet. "Eh.. Those don't look like bandages, but all right." She said, lifting herself up to look around. "I think.. These humans do not like fishmen." She announced.

-

Meanwhile, upon the shores of the island men gathered as boats landed upon the shore. Fishmen were said to be in the island, at least one or two according to the broken boat survivors, if they were so strong, if they managed to get them... They could be rolling in the money!

Lyon stood staring at Taki's feet for a while before he was snapped out of it and looked towards Taki's face realizing that she was talking to him.

"They wouldn't serve me. Apparently if a fishman wants to be served they have to see the vets across the road. But these wounds aren't that bad. Just a simple knock to the head and this well its nothing more than a flesh wound. I'm sure I'll live."

Thinking about why such a thing had been said to him Lyon looked towards Taki. All Lyon could remember was about how others from fishmen island showed such hated for humans and how much he was hated for saving that group. He never had fully understood the hatred towards humans, although things were starting to make more sense now.

With one group of humans trying to capture him and sell him and this woman treating him like a fish he was building up a picture in his head.

"Normally I don't have anything against humans, but for some strange reasons these humans have a problem with us. Its probably just a form segregation like religion but on a more physical level than stupid beliefs."

Feeling like he may have stumbled on to his answer Lyon looked towards Taki for answers.

Taki looked around and scratched her chin. Lots of buildings, same material, apart from the hospital and a few others. She guessed the collars weren’t a kind of fashion statement. Furthremore, the people who were supposed to care for others weren’t serving Lyon. “Hmm.. Fishmen are usually ten times stronger than the average human… Which would be great for labour I suppose, what if they weren’t paying us for working? I think there are many more humans than there are fishmen, and their bodies I guess do have the potential to be stronger than us if they traied enough.” She shrugged.

Maybe… They’re collecting fishfolk from the sea and using them to work for free?” She was second-geussing, really. “Eh.. Actually we should ask them.” Why didn’t she bother doing that before? It was so simple! She beckoned Lyon to follow as she walked off, searching for a group of fishmen she could talk to, but there were also humans with the collars as well.

However, after she turned the first left, a group of men awaited, without warning they unsheathed their swords. “You’re not going anywhere!” the leader shouted, he had a long, curly moustache with a bowler hat. Taki looked at them, then at Lyon, and her clubs. “Er.. You might want to stay back, or.. Fight then ones without weapons.” she said, shuffling her feet before shoving her club forward toward the leader, he blocked it with his sword, though he skidded backwards into one of his men.

There were only four of them in total, one had brass knuckles, another had an axe and the others had the same swords as the leader.

Whilst Taki spoke about fishmen and how strong they were and even how great they'd be at labour Lyon followed her thinking about the collars, fishmen were strong so why didn't they just rip the collars off? Was there something about them that made the fishmen weak or was it something else entirely?

As she mentioned they were being made to work for free, Lyon shook his head.

"Free labour. We're not just a bunch of fish. We could be their greatest ally but instead they seem to put us as their enemy. We should teach them that we are not the enemy."

As Taki led the way and gestured for him to follow Lyon had been so caught up in thought he'd not bothered to look at the surroundings until he caught sight of a group of men before himself & Taki. Listening to her as she spoke about fighting the men without weapons or standing back Lyon shrugged this off and replied with a grin.

"Being unarmed is more dangerous than those who are, you never know what surprises one might pull out from their sleeves."

Watching as Taki dealt out the first blow, Lyon clenched his fists tightly waiting for someone brave enough to come for him.

Taki grunted as she saw the mercenary hadn’t moved as much as she’d thought. “These one’s are a little stronger than the fatarses before.” she noted to Lyon. “And your tits are fatter than the fatarses before.” one of the other mercenaries laughed. The others, (including Taki) looked at him in disgust. “Steffan, just… Nevermind.” another said, before jumping onto Steffan’s head and leaping over Taki in order to attack Lyon. Unlike the guys from before, he would have both finesse and strength, he would begin with an underarm slash, going from his right to his left, attempting to cut Lyon through his midsection, however-he would not try to cut too deep, after all damaged goods are cheap goods.

The leader and his fourth companion jumped back, and kicked Steffan toward Taki, who in turn made an overhead sweat at him, causing a small crater with him on the ground, still laughing. Taki looked at him in confusion, pausing for a moment before noticing the other two had jumped onto her clubs and kicked her in the face together. She stumbled backwards a little, grunting and she had two red marks on the white parts of her face. As she moved backward, Taki kicked toward the not-leader, the leader and him blocked her kick with their weapons, though still were propelled backwards, as legs are slightly stronger than arms.

Watching as one of the men shot towards him from the air after leaping over Taki's head with a blade Lyon took a step backwards to prepare himself or the opponent for a firm and painful blow.

As he watched the man bring his blade out and attempt to slash him, Lyon threw his right leg backwards and around leading with momentum into a fully fledged round house kick. Attempting to slam his foot into the opponent as he missed slashing Lyon he came around on his other foot spinning like a ballerina.

Watching as the man landed and fall forwards Lyon watched as his foot missed. Planting it upon the ground and facing the man's back now standing where he'd originally been attacking from, Lyon clenched his fists tightly and planted his feet down strongly into a stance.

"Nice change to see a man who can actually handle himself."

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

The swordsman flourished his sword at Lyon. He had a hood that shrouded his eyes though let people see his chin and mouth. Nodding toward him gently, her started to move his sword round and around with his wrist, his sword started to multiply, leaving off where it left. Think of it as when your computer crashes, and you have that error message, when you move it there’s an exact copy behind it, and then more copies, that’s like whats with his sword. “Single Sword Technique: Flower Blossom.” suddenly, he started to make very quick stabs toward Lyon, the afterimages of his sword disguising where he would hit next.

Steffan, still in the small crater on the ground, stopped laughing and decided to get up. He was the one with the club. “Yer strong, but-” “Fishman Karate: One Thousand Tile True Punch!” Taki yelled, dropping her coral clubs and punching him further into the ground into the chest until his legs, arms and axe were sticking out. “Annoying you, am I? he said from the pit. Taki was about to respond, but the two other men slashed her upon the thigh, causing her to grunt.

The leader was an average- sized human, he had long hair and two collars, one on top of the other. Meanwhile, his companion was about a foot taller than him, and had very muscular arms but small legs. Taki jumped to the side a few meters, wincing. “Who the heck is that guy…” she grumbled, looking at the man in the ground. He’s able to withstand her attacks, his body was quite durable. However, whenever she attacked him his companions attacked her while she was preoccupied. He was stuck in the ground, so… No need to worry about him. Okay, so she was fighting a guy with a sword and another with brass knuckles.

Flexing her arms, she warmed herself up, against these guys; she would gladly go on a rage.

[Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep Empty Re: [Serious/Open] Saviours from the Deep

Watching as the gentleman before him wielded a sword and begun to sin it quickly he started to notice how his sword started to echo in a sense and became more of a blur. Stepping back he clenched his fists tightly. As the blade shot towards him multiple times from all directions of which he could not tell, Lyon felt a sharp edge slice along his right arm twice and leg side.

Grunting in pain he stepped back and placed a hand over his side. Feeling the blood dripping down his side and over his clothing, Lyon watched the man and clenched positioned his feet.

Fishman Karate: 200 Ton Whirlpool

Spinning quickly Lyon stretched his leg out launching a projectile towards the man hoping to deliver a world of pain to him. Aiming for his waist Lyon landed back on both feet and switch them over raising his hands. He was ready for a proper fight and whatever it would throw his way.

Taki stomped the ground, veins starting to emerge from her skin, in a power-up kind of way. To control her rage, and not to let it control her; that is true strength. Her coral clubs were somewhere behind the two, but that didn’t matter. She tried for a couple of momments, but found that she couldn’t quite let an overpowering wrath take her over, she let o;ut a small sigh, she still had much to learn. Reaching behind, she grabbed a section of wall through a window and ripped it from the house, throwing it at the two. It went hard and fast, capturing both of them and pushing them toward another wall. She ran up behind it and drop-kicked, causing a sandwich-maneuver, causing the two of them to break the wall behind them and fly into the building, due to having nowhere else to go and their bodies were strong enough not to go “squish”.

Meanwhile the rude third companion was still trying to get himself out of the floor, slowly but surely.

The swordsman dashed backward, either through adrenaline or noticing that Lyon was attempting to attack from a range, he quickly moved away from him after studying around him for a brief moment. He reached down and grabbed one of the legs of the man in the ground and pulled him up as Lyon made his kick. The projectile caught the rather resilient man head-on, causing them both to fall backwards a couple of meters, except the guy who got hit flew in the air, only to get caught by a jumping Taki and thrown into the house with the other three. She tried to reach and grab him but he deftly rolled under her arm and legs and ran toward Lyon. Suddenly, he made another dash-movement which caused a slight puff of dirt from the ground where he was, “Single Sword Technique: Hateful Partisan” he muttered under his breath, attempting to slash Lyon’s stomach from left to right. His sword glowed a little as he began the strike, only to falter. Seemingly, he remembers that slaves are no good when they’re dead or mortally wounded, causing hesitation in his strike.
