Smiling as the man reached to pat down his trousers Colton felt a sense of success rise in him. To keep the whirlwind of ash going around the two of them he'd had to change his left arm into ash and sent it off into the whirlwind whilst the rest of his body produced the ash which swirled so violently.

Setting Briar's trouser leg on on fire had only been a diversion and one he'd been proud to see him fall for. Now sitting millimeters above Briar was a large hand made of ash, none of it made of himself all produced from his body.

Reptilian Grasp

When the fingers slammed into the ground all around Briar they begun to close in. The sudden intensity of the ash begun to heat up the enclosed area, also as more ash was produced it only made breathing in the space harder. It was as if someone smoking was breathing directly down their your throat. The only thing that made it worse was the density of the ash was strong enough to grab a hold of you.

Serpent Shed

Reforming just outside of the ash hand that closed in on Briar, each thick chunky finger like the bar of a prison with almost no room to escape through between them. Colton smirked.

All of the ash that had been used to create the whirlwind was now this hand closing in on the former Commodore Briar.

"Yea, I may be a logia and I may be lazy, but don't underestimate me, I've got a brain too and I'm not afriad to use it once in a while. Now before the ash leaves you as a hollow statue of your former self you better start speaking about this flash drive. I doubt you want to die any time soon and I'm sure as shit my Captain would prefer you alive too as would your former mentor Hayward."

Alexis winced, he was strong. His spine managed to not break under her last pull of both desperation and pain-induced strength, there was no point in trying to continue this floor-battle. Her legs hurt like hell, and were probably bleeding as well. She looked down toward Baris to see what he was up to, only to find he was faffing around with some kind of object. She didn’t need to know what it was, all she saw was that it looked sharp, though was small, maybe the sharp part would be long enough to actually hurt her. She immediately let go of Baris; head, raising her legs nearly into the air so he only sank the compass shallowly into her flesh sideways. She wasn’t sure if he hit anything important or not; so she decided to play it safe and bring her other knee (heel first) crashing back down towards Baris’ head, hopefully maybe she’d be able to hit him on the temple?

Colton

With a slightly surprised expression Briar noticed that the trousers had all been a distraction as the ash cloud that had taken the form of the hand approached, Briar grinned with one single movement he rendered the efforts of the marine fruitless. "Soru." said Briar with a cocky and arrogant tone as he travelled ten meters backwards safely out of the clutches of the Ash. Laying down with his elbow rested against the floor supporting his head he listened to Colton's speech.

"I know, I was a marine too ya know. You're a nifty little fighter I'll admit it but I am too. You want to know about the Flash Drive youre after the wrong person, Bosco has it and from the looks of it your Captain's beat"

Standing up from his position the Mohawk wearing Ex-Commodore patted himself down cleaning the rest of the Ash and Dust off of his body. Widing his waist back in a roundhouse like motion Briar spun his legs around in a repeated barrage like motion sending a number of powerful Rankyaku Slices through the air . The speed at which the blades were travelling caused a strong air current behind them similar to alarge breeze that would ultimately send the Ash blowing away.

Opening up Colton for an Attack, taking a run up Briar leaped into the air from his his right leg before striking his fist down in the air at the Marine's face, due to the timing of the attack Colton would only see Briar once he had jumped into the air due to the dispersing Ash.


Alexis

Finally Alexis had freed the grasp on the Seargents head before she had crushed it once again with her knee, freeing his grasp Baris rolled over to free some space between the pair as he groggily made his way up to his feet, his vision was blurred and his face was bruised quite heavily as the inflamation had already started. Placing a palm against his right temple he staggered towards Alexis before aiming a boot to her rips which would hopefully shut her up once and for all, as the Sergeant coughed heavily covering his mouth with his hand.


"Just Give Up For Fucks Sake" roared the Sergeant with a hint of desperation in his voice.

Akira

Dropping to his knees it appeared Akira had underestimated the initial impact of Bosco's attacks, his ears began to ring and his vision began to blur as he started to crawl towards his opponent grasping onto the belt buckle of Bosco as he desperately attempted to gain footing and balance. With a Grin the General held out his hands in front with him as he roared with laughter so loud half the island could of heard it. Winking Akira quickly sprung up delivering a powerful uppercut to the General's chin sending him crashing to the floor.

"I'm a crafty little bugger aren't I?' joked Akira as he wiped the blood that poured from his lip before placing a Trampolia plant on the floor jumping on top of it and ascending into the air roughly 30 feet above the large bruised frame of Commanding General Alonzo Bosco.


Midori Boshi : Bakuhatsu So

Aiming the explosive seed at Bosco Akira released the bullet seed a t agreat velocity before collapsing and enjoying the free falling as he turned behind him.

Midori Boshi : Sargasso

Extending his arms outwards Akira fell into the web of seaweed as he awaited the damage from the explosion.

Catching sight of the man who'd somehow escaped the clutches of his ash, Colton felt his body go limp followed by the throbbing which echoed in his head. Hitting the ground in agony he felt something sore on his nose. Reaching up to touch it he felt a stinging sensation and blood. Removing his hand he spotted it, yea a crimson colour leaking from the cut on the bridge of his nose. Throwing himself into the air with his ash fruit powers Colton turned to face Briar.

His ash had been dispersed and attacks rendered useless in a sense.

Throbbing wildly his head wouldn't stop, but he was still conscious and ready to take this man down no matter what it took, even if he was standing on a slant.

A Slant?! This can't be good, he's not on a slant and neither am I

Shaking his head he looked at Briar, Colton replied to his earlier statement.

"Doesn't matter if you know where it is or not. If I've got you, I've got a bargaining chip."

Serpent Spit I: Barrage

Raising both hands Colton begun to launch out a series of short ranged shotgun blows of ash towards Briar in the hopes that one of these blasts would do some damage.

Each shot would only reach about 15 feet in distance, but pack a hell of a blow strong enough to take someone down to their feet or even burn open their chest from the sheer overpowering impact & the intense heat which would meet their torso.

Although he knew this man knew some strange techniques which would probably aid him.

Alexis reached down and pulled the compass out of her leg, tough it really would’ve fallen out of it anyway, since it was just dangling. Luckily, all of her injuries were below the belt, so she didn’t have any blurry vision like Briar probably had after she pounded the bloody heck out of his head, she noticed him staggering towards her, lukily she had enough tiem to start rolling backwards, trying to get up in order to initiate full-on barrage of doom against him. “’Ell no! Oi ‘ave tha’ uppah ‘and now!” she shouted back, managing to roll around so he only stepped on her hip, which caused her to wince in pain and give a small yelp as she tried to get back up afterwards. Though, unfortunately he legs were hurting… Just a bit.

Colton

Flying backwards Briar let out a groan of pain as he fell onto his back and was dragged backwards from the impact. Luckily, the blunt impact was all he felt due to his bulletproof jacket however it had been near enough destroyed as he ripped it off exposing his chest that was well built with the marines insignia tattooed on the right side of his rib cage. Slowly Briar made his way to his feet, he could feel the weakness him already his legs retained the properites of Gellotine and his breathing was heavy.

However from what he could tell, Colton must of been feeling the same effects too as he looked at him he could see the discombobulation in his eyes. Raising his elbow toward him, Briar began his next assault using Soru to dash behind Cotlon, he would appear to the left of Colton and aim a powerful barrage of Shigan's imbued with Seastone that would hopefully put his assailant down for the count and increase the severity of the previous wound that Briar had inflicted to the Recruit.


Alexis

"Finally, a Proper Fight " smiled Baris as he wiped a streak of blood off of his cheek at this point he wasn't sure if it was his own or Alexis'. Baris assumed a boxing like stance, Southpaw of course, after all he was the Militias Champion Boxer undefeaeted in 68 Encounters with a KO Ratio of 74%. Leaning forward Baris aimed a series of hooks, straight hands and uppercuts at his enemy hopefully aiming to land at least a few on her.


Akira

Spotting slight movements under the rubble, Akira sighed as he awaited the impending revival of Bosco and just as he had hypothesized the Genral re-emerged with even less clothing and more brusings and burns with a slightly more distant look on his face however the smug was still there...slightly. Realising the General had recooped his blade, Akira redrew his swords with a smile as they clashed once more in the same manner as they had prior to their altercation. Staring intently into his opponents eyes Akira jumped backwards before circling around Bosco.

Midori Boshi : Impact Wolf

Tossing the Pop Green Akira aimed for Bosco smiling as the seed made direct contact, sending Bosco hurling backwards at a great speed into yet another building causing the wooden-structure to collpase and ultimately cracking a few of the general's ribs.

Seeing the man hit the ground and strip off a bullet proof jacket Colton felt he was making some effect and watched as the man charged him with his elbow. Briar seemed to be side stepping him with each step and in response, Colton tried to copy.

Stepping left then right then seeing him vanish, Colton took a few seconds to realize what must be going on. Realizing he threw himself into a spiral of ash which shot into the sky as the first shigan finger came his way from behind.

Narrowly avoiding the attack, Colton spun in the air and launched himself into a full fledged Falling Lizard

Speeding down at incredible speed with an ash coated foot which trailed behind him, Colton attempted to slam his foot into Briar's head.

"Brin' et, mutherfukka." she said, going into the position that is known as the Menestral Sewer Combat. Though it hurt due to her leg injuries, she bent her knees so that she was closer to the ground, and placed her hands onto the ground, ready to jump up at a moment’s notice. Well, it was time she named her techniques to make them stronger, she supposed. What were found in sewers again? Crocodiles? Ah! Frogs!

 

Suddenly, she sprang towards Baris, using the momentum in an attempt to punch him in the solar plexus. “Frog ‘op!” She yelled, initiating the second phase of their battle.

Colton

Both Dazed and Confused as Colton managed to dodge the attack, Briar let out a groan of pain as Colton's foot slammed down onto the back of his head causing him to face plant the ground, with a loud thud, struggling to get up Briar smiled as he felt his body go limp and drift out of consciousness.

Alexis

As he felt his fists collide with the air Baris looked down surprised as he saw Alexis' before it was too late as she sprung up and connected w ith his solar plexus sending a dazed and heavily wounded Sergeant Baris to the floor as he stared at the ceiling with his vision blurry , he awaited the incoming attack from Alexis.

Akira

Walking slowly over to the newly formed pile of Rubble, Akira lifted off the various pieces of debris to uncover the prone general, checking his pulse he smiled slightly as he gave him a couple light slaps on the cheek before yanking the large muscular frame of the Commanding General from beneath the rubble. Falling on his ass Akira looked up to the sky with a smile, at least it was over he thought to himself.

Turning around he looked over towards Colton who appeared to have defeated his opponent , Commodore Mustang Briar. Making his way over to his recruit , dragging Bosco by the foot as he shifed from side to side as he attempted to maintain his balance sliding both his blades back into their respective sheathes. Resting his hand against Colton's shoulder he gave him a friendly smile

"You did kid...Youre Bleeding?"

Asked Akira with a hint of worry in his voice as he peered his head around and inspected the fresh wound.

Breathing heavily as Colton looked down at Briar, Colton allowed his own legs to go limp and landed on his arse. He hadn't expected a fight like that for his first mission or to expend anywhere near that amount of energy on a simple fight either and annoyingly the mission wasn't even over yet. They still needed to get hold of the bloody flash drive. But did he really want to get to his feet and do anything right now?

No.

Slamming his back into the ground Colton gazed up at the sky and felt the wound on his chest sting. So this was shigan. It hurt like hell that much he could tell and did not want to be on the receiving end of it ever again. But he did want to learn it. Seemed like a pretty useful technique to have and infused with his ash powers, well it'd do a hell of a thing to someone's body.

Seeing how the sky's clouds had taken on a slightly darker tone Colton could tell what was coming next and wasn't looking forward to it, it'd make hitting him that much easier and his attacks slightly weaker too. Seems all that ash really could change the effects of the weather. Closing his eyes Colton regulated his breathing and in a matter of moments.

Zzzzz. Zzzzz. Zzzzz.

Hearing footsteps and panting only growing louder Colton was quickly taken back from his nap and woken to the depressing reality he was part of. Opening his eyes to see Akira placing a hand on his shoulder he could see him slight listing towards the left and picked himself up slowly. Hearing his words struggling to come from his lips Colton nodded and remembered the blood coming from his nose. That bastard had given him a cut he wouldn't forget. Bloody sea stone.

"Think I'm a little concussed actually." Colton replied felling his head lurch & thob at the same time. Looking at Akira in his slightly battered state he chuckled before continuing his little series of words.

"Can I have a nap now?" he knew the answer would most likely be a no, but it was always worth asking right? He might be lucky and get a yes. But they still needed to get hold of this damn flashdrive after finding out where the bastarding thing was.

He's open! She tried to finish him off with one last punch to the face with all of her adrenaline. Since he was probably out for the count with that last punch she gave him, she didn't bother to check on him, and walked over to the chair she was sitting on. Colton and Akira were probably fine, sneaking around n' shiz while she took on one of the big bosses, hah. She looked around, finding a wine bottle, she popped the cap off and took a swig, while sitting in his chair. She put up a foot, and relaxed for a moment. "Eat et, dick'ead." she said, before checking out her wounds.

Hmm... He bit her through the skin, shanked her as well. Mm, yes! She believed that was indeed painful. With the loss of adrenaline, all of the pain came flooding back, and she gnawed on her knuckles. It wasn't too bad, but it was definitely annoying, and she was bleeding a bit.

With a chuckle Akira held the flash drive between his thumb and index finger as he showed the device to Colton. "Bosco had it round his neck, cant sleep just yet I'll have to take a look at that later on the ship. You Okay to walk?" asked Akira before offering his recruit his hand to help him stand up. Just as the pair were getting ready to leave, Akira heard what could only be classified as a herd of footsteps coming there way, grunting the Captain unsheathed both his swords once more as he waited for the footsteps to come closer.

The Menwere from Baris' camp, immediately the men called out for the pair to surrender before seeing the state of their leaders, unconscious and heavily wounded . With a loud gulp the men fled from the scene, creating a large dust cloud in a comic manner.

Spotting the flashdrive in Akira's hand Colton smiled, it was about time they had it.

"Great, I really just want to get back to the [Yawn] ship. I could do with a nap." Nodding to Akira's question Colton turned to see the men who appeared armed with rifles & swords. Giving them a death stare and turning his hands into ash Colton really wasn't ready for this shit and didn't want to have to strangle these bastards.

Catching sight of their superiors though seemed to unnerve them enough to leave them fleeing with their tails between their legs. Smiling seeing this act of cowardice Colton looked up at Akira.

"Shouldn't we find Alexis first? She could be in danger." for the first time in meeting her, he'd actually wanted to make sure she was ok. But not personally. He'd rather take that nap first.

Alexis took another swig of the barrel, before taking off her shoes and splashing some of the alcohol onto her wounds, it stung like hell, but at least it might not get infected.  She heard footsteps, and some guy came bursting in. “Bosco an-“ he began, before staring at Baris’ unconscious body and Alexis taking one last swig of the bottle, before throwing it at him, smacking him right-dang on the forehead. “Shot op!” She yelled. He reeled backwards, holding his head. “Aaagh!” he moaned while Alexis tied her shoelaces together. Right… What was he going to say? He said something about Bosco and wasn’t he one of the bosses or something? Well, judging from his voice she guessed they’d been defeated or something, or maybe they were under attack. Or maybe wounded, eh. She messed around in the table, twirling on the spinny chair before checckign the drawers for any loose cash. Pocketing a few beli, she stretched and walked off with a slight limp, leaving one unconscious body and another person holding his forehead in pain. Now, where’s sheitface and plantman… She wandered around, before finding them. “’Sup?”

Noticing the recognisable fraame of Alexis' Akira smiled as he saw her coming towards him from the looks of it she seemed pretty beaten up but non-threatening although the bitemarks did look especially painful.

"I take it Baris was dealt with?" questioned Akira as he ran his finger through his hair as he swept it backwards in a fashion that could only be described as fabulous. Reaching into his pocket the Captain drew out his Den Den Mushi before changing the communication frequency as he patched himself into Hayward.

"Roger Hello How Are You on this Fine Saturday Morning?"

"It's Commodore Hayward, Capain Miyazaki"

"Of Course Commdoore, could you please send the Evac. Oh and we've got a few extra passengers"

"Explain."

"Just a Commanding General, and his two right hands...nothing special"

Immediately the transmission ended , as Akira let out a chuckle either Hayward was extremely pissed or overly pleased, it was probably a combination of the two.

Seeing Alexis Colton smirked, was good to see she hadn't been taken down yet, this just meant he had a chance to be the one to put her down.

"So your still standing" Colton jokned before he turned to see his Captain Akira Miyazaki calling someone on the den den mushi.

Listening to the conversation he figured out the gist of it was about bringing in some ships for them to escape aboard with the bastards they'd come to subdue.

Looking over towards them then Alexis & Akira he started to chuckle to himself a little.

He could only imagine how the three of them looked in their bloody state. But it didn't matter, these were the misfits that were Marine Division G-7 and he was happy to be here, even if Alexis didn't like him.

"'Ell yea." Alexis responded to Akira's question. Well, they were still standing it appeared, must’ve meant they did whatever… They needed to do, she guessed. “Yup, n’ ah see yoo are tew.” Ashe replied to Colton, attempting to give him a hard pat on the back. Emphasis on the hard part.

 

“Roight then, wen’re we leavin’?” She asked, limping over to look out the window.
