Custom Devil Fruit Reservations

Does the maximum of a one month reservation apply even to Devil Fruits you've made yourself and had approved? I'd have liked to make a fruit now and have the character pick it up way later in his career, but it's kinda problematic to plan for if I don't know it's approved.

Yes it does. But often fruits made are often left if a specific user wishes to use it.
