Calico

"Quite the sneaky little bastard aren't you?" Calico muttered picking himself up as he turned to face Igneous.

"Says the man who sneaks aboard my ship & steals my map."

As those words escaped Igneous's lips his sword came crashing down towards Calico's right shoulder from the skies. Stepping to the left avoiding the blade which embedded itself in the ground, Calico took advantage of this.

Dragging the anchor back and hook Igneous's neck between the hook & middle section he begun to pull and spin Igneous around.

As Igneous lost grip of his cutlass he found himself on the receiving end of Calico's Anchor Assault: Hook Arm: Lets Dance technique. With the sudden extension of the rope Igneous was spun around by his neck. Clinging to the hooks of the anchor he attempted to pull himself free to no avail.

As Calico slammed him into the wall of a house his ride came to an unsettling end. Crashing down the wall shattered falling into debris covering Igneous. Drawing his anchor back quickly Calico panted catching his breath.

Johnny

Jamming the logs into the dam to fill the holes which had begun to appear it had stopped water from gushing out. The town was currently safe. Although the dam wouldn't hold for too long and would need repair. But that could wait. As long as a message was sent to the repair men of the town they could fix the problem. But for now the problem was disposing of the final pirates who roamed the town attempting to still set fires.

Willis had managed to clear the north side of the town. With a few wounds & bloody smothered over his torso it was obvious that he had been busy. Making his way to the South he spotted a fire which burst out in the West opposite to the Harbor. Stopping he wandered should he head South to stop Pirates setting fire or would he head West to put out the fire, the was no sign of Johnny and he wasn't so sure where he had buggered off to either.

Heading off he clenched his fists ready to put down some pirates & extinguish a fire. Panting as he ran, Willis ignored the pain which surged through his body, the town came first.[/color]

Johnny held his breath, he was waiting for the worst, at any minute he figured the logs would fire out and he'd be stuck with a problem he had no hopes of fixing in time. With his luck his efforts would be for nothing and the whole town would get wiped out anyway. Instead however, something truly magical and unexpected happened, Johnny's plan had actually worked the dam was holding together like he had hoped it would. Sighing loudly Johnny was grateful that he managed to pull it off and save everyone's skins. The intensity of the situation had started taking it's toll and he could feel his breathing getting heavier, he was a bit tired but that wouldn't be enough to stop him from finishing the job. Turning around and running towards the fence he'd climbed to enter the are Johnny looked out into the distance, from where he was standing he could tell some fires had been put out while others had been freshly started.

It was obvious the pirates had been hard at work trying to bring the place down but Willis had also been busy trying to save his beloved town. New fires erupted in a direction, which way it was however Johnny had no clue. It was times like this he really wished he didn't have zero sense of direction. Making an attempt to gather his thoughts he tried to come up with a plan of action, Calico and Daichi had set out to take care of the captain and it had been up to Willis and himself to handle the town. He figured Willis would have gone to take care of the fires that had just recently been started, which meant that Johnny would be free to go after the pirates starting them and put them in the ground. Glancing around again he could somewhat tell where he had been before this whole dam business started. That meant there was only one way for him to really go in, he wasn't headed for the docks nor was he going to the flames, Johnny was on his way to the scum trying to destroy a peaceful town. Cracking his knuckles Johnny started smiling, he was going to have a great time. Taking off into a run he started heading South, of course to him it was just the right direction, he wasn't sure how long it would be before he got there but the sooner the better.

Calico

Turning Calico caught sight of Igneous's ship as it begun to crack, watching the mast slowly begin to capsize & the ship break in two. He grinned. It was good to see his foe had no escape.

"You've done it now!"

Recognizing the voice Calico turned to see Igneous getting to his feet as the rubble hit the floor. Feeling the flintlock hit his thigh, it reminded Calico of the gun Igneous had given him earlier when threatening him to jump off the plank.

Snatching it up & taking aim at Igneous, Calico slowly begun to step towards him as Igneous stood in tattered clothing coughing and panting. His face scarred & beard holding on to debris.

"No, I've just beat up a stupid old man & stole his map, and now I'm going to kill you."

Smacking Igneous around the face with the butt of the flintlock Calico watched as Igneous hit his knees and grunted.

Pushing the barrel against his forehead Igneous closed his eyes.

"I hope Satan's got a nice seat all ready for you."

Squeezing the trigger Calico smiled.

Johnny

Throwing a tightly clenched fist into a pirate's face and digging his heel into the groin of another pirate behind him, Willis stood among a group of rowdy pirates.

Using the ax that a pirate had been using, Willis snatched it up and before long turned 90 degrees and threw the aforementioned ax towards a young pirate about to light up the houses.

Cleaving clean through his wrist and causing him to drop the torch, Willis smiled as he yelled.

"No body torches my town!"

Spinning back around he caught sight of a man with cyan coloured hair heading his way. Arcing his eyebrow he recognized the man and wondered where the hell he'd been at. He could've used his help earlier.

Removing one of the braces from his shoulder Willis dropped it down over a pirate and pulled back on it as it reached his neck. Strangling the pirate with a single hand and disarming him of a dagger with the other he turned to stick it into the hip of another.

Upon impaling the villainous pirate Willis twisted the blade opening the wound and drew it out.

Screams of agony rose into the smoky sky above. Feeling the motion in the braces die down Willis loosened his grip to allow an unconscious pirate slump to the floor. Smiling he looked around at his handy work to see no more pirates left to deal with here. Just those in the West and a fire to put a stop to.

Waving to Johnny, Willis signaled for him to come closer. He clearly had some words to say.

Well Johnny wasn't expecting this, which either meant he made a miscalculation or he just went in the wrong damned direction like he always did. He was greeted by Willis unleashing hell upon every pirate he could get his hands on, Johnny would usually have joined in but he was compelled to stand by and just watch things unfold. Some of the stuff he did made Johnny tense up, not so much because it creeped him out or because he was scared, but because it was totally awesome. Turning around to watch everything that was happening Johnny could see the place was a mess, of course the pirates were in much worse shape, Willis didn't look all that well himself. A couple of minutes passed and the man was done with his work, good god did he ruin those guy's days, of course they had it coming but it was still a sight to see. Johnny noticed Willis was waving him over and he was a tad reluctant to walk over there, he didn't think the guy would be too happy about him running out earlier. Stepping up in front of Willis, Johnny placed his hands in his pockets and half smiled at the guy. That was awesome to watch. So... what's up sir?

Calico

Firing from the barrel and out of the end Calico dropped the flintlock from Igneous's head and placed it back in to the holster he'd tightened around his waist. It was a nice gun. And maybe he could use it later.

Looking at the cowering Captain Igneous, Calico waited for him to speak.

"Y-y-y-you missed,"

"intentionally."

"But why?"

"Sorry did you want to die?" Calico asked raising his right hand & anchor. "Cause I can do quite a bit of damage with this anchor."

"N-n-no, just why are you letting me live?"

"I'm giving you the second chance that you gave me. I just hope you'll use it wisely."

Turning and walking from the now piss stinking pirate, Calico begun to whistle a pleasant tune to himself. Watching as Igneous's ship no longer stood in the docks and Daichi returned drenched & bloody but still in one piece Calico smiled.

"Thank you for your help." Calico said to the barman who in turn replied.

"No. Thank you for beating down that thug."

"It was no problem. But now you can lock him up, rebuild the town and most importantly of all, have your treasure map."

"Mr Hail, you've no idea how grateful I am for this, you really don't."

"Please. Call me Calico, Mr Hail was my father. A man whose probably waist deep in his new wife right now."

Spilling forth what seemed to be perhaps a little too much information Calico chuckled to himself as he pointed Igneous.

"The man you'll want to lock up is just back there, oh and you guys might want to look into getting some proper form of security round here. Like marines or something."

Johnny

Seeing the man arrive and seeming a little reluctant to be around him, Willis smirked. Coughing before he spoke he covered his mouth.

"Where the hell 'ave you been? Actually, don't worry about that. Never mind. Look therres a fire just over there that needs extinguishing and. Well I'm not what I used to be and in this old age by the time I get over there, half the Montgomery estate will be in flames. Get over there will ya? Sort them lousy pirates out."

Coughing Willis turned to look up to the sky, he knew what would be on the way soon. But the sooner the fire is stopped the better. More to the point he still remained unaware of the eventual danger that would come their way when the damn broke. Currently it was strong enough to with hold the water. But give it a day or two longer and they would be in real trouble.

Taking a moment to catch his breath whilst moaning, groaning & aching pirates all laid around him, Willis took a seat on the belly of one and pulled out a cigar. Sliding it between his lips he used a pirate's eye patch to light up his match and light up his cigar.

Inhaling an expression of relief could be seen spreading out.

Serious: One Flintlock, One Chance - Page 2 Empty Re: Serious: One Flintlock, One Chance

Post by Colm Thu Jan 16, 2014 10:19 am

Johnny raised a finger and opened his mouth to answer Willis' question but it seemed like that wasn't very important at the moment, at least not to him. He wanted Johnny to head over and take care of the pirates cause he was a strapping young lad, he wasn't going to argue with the guy, especially from all action he'd been dealing with in Johnny's absence. Willis took it upon himself to relax for a bit, Johnny wanted to tell him about what he'd seen but he didn't really want to fuck this guy's day up any worse than it already was. Scratching his head for a moment Johnny thought about the situation he'd handled earlier, he wasn't an expert and didn't know all the details of the construction but he figured the dam wouldn't last too much longer than a day, any more than that would be a miracle. It needed to be taken care of but at the moment the raging flames and rampaging pirates were more of an issue, more or less anyway. Looking Willis straight in the eye he nodded his head. Leave it to me, but there's something important we need to talk about when all this is over.

Without waiting for a response Johnny waved him off and took off in the direction of the flames, he needed to find a way to put them out and draw some attention to himself. The sooner the pirates were dealt with the better, it was annoying having to run all over the damn island playing firefighter. Spotting a barrel Johnny ran over to it and slid the top off slightly, it was filled with water, perfect. Closing it back up Johnny dragged it over and flung it as hard as he could, sending it up over some flaming buildings. Coiling his right arm back Johnny launched a punch at the barrel, upon connecting it shattered and sent a makeshift rain down to extinguish the flames. This was going to be a slow process, and there would probably only be so many barrels for him to use. If worse came to worse he could smash up the buildings like he did to the trees to prevent the fire from spreading, of course like that he'd be more of the villain instead of the hero.

Calico

Heading into the town center with Daichi the two of them returned to the town center to let the citizens know it was now safe. No danger anymore. The pirates dealt with and now the town just needed fixing up. It wouldn't take too long if they all chipped in. As the two of them arrived back at Daichi's tavern, Calico had to admit, he couldn't wait to sit down.

His body ached and battle wounds stung. Sitting down on one of the large comfy sofas, Calico looked towards Daichi who quickly poured him a drink and unraveled the map on the table.

"So this is really the map to that treasure?"

Nodding Calico started to sip at the beer. It tasted good and the sofa felt relaxing on his legs.

Johnny

Due to the smoke rising into the sky, rain had begun to fall. The fire quickly died down from the water & the rain. Within a matter of moments it was pouring down heavily and the pirates who'd failed in burning down the town rushed out from the shops.

12 of them rushed out screaming in anger.

4 of them stood in front armed with rifles and prepared to take down Johnny with rapid rifle fire.

the other 8 surrounded him with melee weapons of all kinds from, maces, swords, clubs to battle axes.

"Your going down kid!" one of the pirates shouted as rifle fire was seen shooting towards Johnny. As for the rest the of the pirates they waited for the bullets to hit with greasy hair & devilish grins. They wanted blood.

Johnny's blood to be more precise.

Serious: One Flintlock, One Chance - Page 2 Empty Re: Serious: One Flintlock, One Chance

Post by Colm Fri Jan 17, 2014 5:35 am

There was a few drips and drops and Johnny thought he was imagining things, there was no way in hell his luck was this good. The few that fell eventually turned into a steady rainfall, the water was extinguishing the flames and it looked like the town had been saved. That didn't set well with the company that just showed up however, the dozen pirates that came out of any structure that was still standing didn't look very happy. Aiming guns and a variety of other weapons at him they surrounded him, to any normal person the odds were very much against him, but for Johnny this was just another normal day. Taking fire on him Johnny had to act quickly, crouching down he coiled himself lightly and jumped high into the air to avoid getting shot. Coiling his arms back he launched his fists at the gunmen, nailing two of the clean in the face he launched them back, forcing them to drop their weapons. Upon landing he fell into a crouch and coiled himself up, tighter this time, and launched himself towards the remaining gunmen pirates. Sticking his arms out landed two heavy blows to their stomachs, he grabbed onto them and held them in front of him, using them as shield as he crashed into a building. Throwing the scum off of him and dusting himself off Johnny stood up, he felt a stinging pain and noticed he'd been grazed on the cheek and on his left leg. Seemed like he was going to have to pay more attention or he'd be getting himself into some serious trouble.

Calico

Whilst Daichi announced how the ton was now safe and in need of repair Calico happily begun to down his drink. He just wanted to get it all down his throat and close his eyes.

His muscles all ached whilst his wounds stung. Refusing to allow these wounds get to him, Calico heard what the barman said about the long road to recovery along with the help he'd gotten from himself & the cyan haired man, but he wasn't in the mood for worship.

Slamming the drink down he looked around to see a few passing glances but no one seemed all that grateful for his help. Shrugging it off Calico closed his eyes. He needed to rest.

Johnny

With the gun men down for the count, it was just the men with melee weapons gazing back at Johnny. Shaking in fear the 8 turned and quickly begun to sprint in the opposite direction. They didn't want to be anywhere near this strange spring man. The mere sight of his powers terrified them and they really didn't want to be on the receiving end of his spring powered punches nor kicks.

But upon arrival at the harbor they'd meet a disappointing sight. No ship to escape aboard.

Slowly making his way towards Johnny with a smile on his face, Willis couldn't seem more grateful for the cigar in his mouth. He exhaled into the air and watched as the rings of smoke rose.

Stepping over a few pirate corpses and pieces of debris he watched as in the distance pirates sprinted for safety. Smiling he muttered to himself.

"Kid must've done something pretty awful to have terrified them so much."

It would be a great help to keep this kid here, if he were up for it. Maybe he could offer him an apprenticeship at the blacksmiths and convince him to stay. The town would need some new protectors in the future when himself & Daichi passed on.

Serious: One Flintlock, One Chance - Page 2 Empty Re: Serious: One Flintlock, One Chance

Post by Colm Fri Jan 17, 2014 1:03 pm

Johnny clenched his fist and started approaching the remaining pirates, the expectations he had for them was the group charging him all at once and trying their luck in taking him down with a quick and powerful assault. That didn't even remotely happen however. Much to Johnny's surprise and disappointment they all started quaking in their boots and started to run in the complete opposite direction, as fast as they could too. There was a part of him that wanted to chase after them but there would be no point to that, he would be able to catch them but it was just be a huge pain in the ass. On the bright side he did what Willis had asked of him, so he wasn't going to get a stern talking to for screwing up the only job he'd been given. Stopping to take a look at the town it wasn't in as terrible shape as he was afraid it would be, once this whole mess was over it probably wouldn't be that difficult to get everything squared away. Noticing a figure Johnny stared it down trying to figure out who it was, it took a moment but he realized it was Willis striding towards him with a cigar in his mouth and what he thought to be a smile on the old man's face. Walking over towards the guy to meet him half way Johnny flashed him a thumbs up, a smile crept across as his face as he looked him in the eye. I took care of those losers just like you asked. But now we got something more important to talk about. Johnny's face turned to a much more serious expression now. I was at the dam earlier, the thing was almost destroyed by the fires. It took some damage so I doubt it'll be able to hold together for more than a day and a half, two days at the max. This rain isn't exactly helping that situation either.

Calico

Resting up and enjoying the taste of the beer which found its way through his body, Calico allowed his muscles to pulse with pain whilst the citizens & bartender Daichi planned their days out for the treasure hunt and the repair of the town.

It needed quite a bit of work, but it seemed from the sound of citizens they really didn't mind and were happy to help out however they could. Smiling Calico allowed himself to drift off into a nice quiet place in his mind.

Dream time was approaching and he would welcome it with warmth.

Johnny

Nodding Willis dropped the cigar to the floor and begun to stamp it into the ground. He smiled back at Johnny as he thought about the words he'd just said. Looking towards the sky and feeling the rain wash over his torso & drag out some of the blood he opened his lips to speak.

"Fancy a drink hero?"
