Over the course of three days construction on the town had been pretty intense, for the citizens along with Daichi & Willis. As for Calico, he'd been pretty busy catching up on sleep, food and trying to find the time to talk about getting his hands on a ship whilst avoiding helping repairing the town. He'd just saved it, did he really have to help out with it? It wasn't his style nor something he was looking to do career wise, so he'd happily give it a miss. He just really if anything wanted to leave aboard his own ship in search of a crew mate. Maybe Daichi would consider returning to piracy, but under him as a captain?

Shaking his head, Calico realized that was a no. Willis was too much of a hard core Marine and the cyan haired guy. Hey who was he kidding that guy hadn't done anything note worthy in his eyes and seemed like too much of a square. Heading to the docks, Calico sat with his feet over the edge and a bottled beer in his hand that he'd stolen from the bar.

He couldn't wait to leave, but getting a decent ship would be an issue as would finding a decent navigator. That would probably be his first task, well maybe after getting hold of a ship. Finding someone who could guide him. Although possibly a shipwright would be best first, if he needed a ship.

In all honesty Calico really wasn't sure what he was looking for, but he knew he needed someone to help him get his journey on the right track. He was tired of being stuck in this town, and even more so of being asked to help and stop messing around.

Returning to the bar after finishing his drink Calico left the bottle in the large pile that was jetting out of the docks where he'd thrown all 372 bottles he'd drank in the past 3 days. He'd been going to the harbor every day thinking but failed miserably to come up with a single plan and now things were kinda getting to him. He needed to stop the drinking and get back on the open sea. A map with buried treasure would help, but the only one he had now belonged to Daichi and he couldn't exactly steal it back. Or could he?

Nah he was a man of his word.

But he was also a pirate.

Poking his head into Daichi's office behind the bar upon arriving, he could see the map lazily lying there on the desk beneath the blueprints. His pirate like mind couldn't help but call out to him. He wasn't evil or anything.

Just greedy.

From the south of the island and a small town called Hirogame, the young acrobatic annoyance Raife was currently running & swinging through the trees. Attempting to escape the bandits he'd just accidentally busted, he was on the way to where ever they couldn't catch him. Anyway was better than in their sight.

Climbing a tree quickly and beginning to sprint from branch to branch and swing from one to the next below him. His feet found a branch leading upwards and quickly begun to climb it. Peering behind himself he caught a glimpse of the bandits and quickly made haste for the small town ahead with various pieces of scaffolding which would be perfect to aid him in getting down from the trees into civilization and hiding.

These bandits behind seemed pretty persistent and he couldn't be bothered to run for much longer. The belly didn't help and as much as he'd have loved to hack them down where they stood with his tomahawks, he doubted he had enough and would be able to deal with these bandits as they were great in numbers whilst he was merely one.

One lone annoying kid with a candy addiction that severely screwed him over more times than he cared to mention, or even remembered.

Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship Empty Re: Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship

Post by Colm Sat Jan 18, 2014 4:19 pm

Three days had gone by and Johnny had been hard at work fixing the town up along with it's residents, it was kind of annoying having to run all over the place but he was happy to help. Besides, he'd just finished help saving the place, the least he could do was help patch it up, especially the dam. That had been his biggest worry the whole time he was here, pirates were a pain in the ass but being completely wiped out by some running water was just stupid. Luckily there were quite a few people around that knew how to patch things up, if it would have been up to him and Willis he probably would have cried in a corner and drank himself into a coma. He made a mental note to the fact that he hardly saw the guy who started this whole mess in the first place around anywhere. From what Johnny had heard he just screwed around and drank as much alcohol as he could carry, it looked like helping wasn't exactly his strong suit.

Sighing loudly Johnny poured himself a drink and stepped outside, the town looked in much better shape then it had a couple days ago. It wouldn't take much longer until everything was back to normal, who knows, maybe things would be even better than before. Something he did know however was that he'd spent enough time here, he needed to move on and continue his little adventure. As always he didn't have a destination in mind but that never stopped him, not having a ship wasn't enough to keep him from setting out as well. It would be shameful but there was a pretty damn good chance that he would have to steal one, he felt bad for having to betray these good people's trust but it had to be done. Johnny was a pirate after all. There was something he had to do first though, he needed to find the lazy bastard that had caused all of this trouble and have a word with him. Downing his drink in a go he set the glass down on a table and headed off in search of him.

Calico

Smiling as he stepped into the office Calico quickly turned his head to peak out the through the door. Not seeing anyone he slid his hand on to the desk and over the map. Peering back & forth to make sure he was in actual fact grabbing the map & not something else like a list of all of the bar's beers. (Actually that wouldn't be a bad idea. A list of beers to taste from all around the world might be a good idea. Something to enjoy on a quiet night in.) Snatching the map up, Calico picketed it before he started searching for this aforementioned list.

Quickly spotting it as the longest piece of paper he begun to fold it numerous times. It really needed it! Placing that in his pocket too, Calico headed out the door. Now he just needed a ship & to avoid Daichi. If he could manage that he'd be home free.

"Now where do I find a ship in this god foresaken place?"

he muttered to himself quietly. Stepping out through the front door, Calico attempted to remember where the shipyard was, when it actually hit him, that he hadn't even been there and he was muddling it up with the harbor he'd arrived at when he'd swam here.

"Shit" he would need to find it somehow. Wandering towards the harbor slowly he figured that he could formulate a plan from there. Although a map of the East Blue would come in handy, but from what he could tell he didn't have one & neither would these people either. Well not after the fires which had burnt their lives to the ground.

Humming delightfully as he made his way to the harbor Calico thought about the treasure that he would discover on the map. It was said to be a sight of greatness, strong enough to bring tears to the eyes of any man and that was good enough for him, because bringing a tear to his eye meant money & lots of it. Gold as far as the eye could see.

This was the map of the pirate Goldbeard known as this for his golden plated beard. Ironically his teeth had been silver though. But thats pirates for you. Even though they love gold they won't fully commit to anything.

Raife

Leaping down from a tree and landing atop a building Raife took a second to breath. A bullet rang through the air narrowly missing Raife's head. Feeling the heat of the bullet he knew it was time to keep moving.

Running and hopping down on to the next rooftop, Raife backed up allowing himself to slide down between the two buildings. In between the buildings he grinned as he saw the bandits rush past him and into the town. Poking his head out from the alleyway Raife had realized from atop the building he'd landed on, this town was no where near big enough to escape them. But it was on the shore.

This would be beneficial. As long as he could get a ship or hitch a ride he'd be long gone from here. And taking over the ship for himself would be a pretty easy task too. He was quite the acrobatic and knew how to use his skills.

Johnny

Running on past Raife the bandits split up into groups. The leader of which kicked the doors to the bar off its very hinges. Firing his sawn off shotgun into the roof he sent the few patrons of which were mostly the elderly into screams of terror.

"Where is he?"

His fellow bandits rushed in flipping over tables checking behind the bar and kicking open back doors. The sooner they found their man, the sooner they'd be out of here.

The other groups rushed towards the dam & the houses currently in construction, of which they'd run into Daichi & Willis. They'd not only miss out on a chance to cause any destruction, but hit the floor with missing teeth, bruised eyes & blackened hearts.

The only bandits who would be left would be the 4 in the bar currently searching around Johnny.

Johnny was about half way down the street when he heard a strange sound, it sounded like gunfire but he couldn't exactly tell where it had come from. Glancing around him he wondered why the hell someone would be shooting, there was no way any of the pirates were trying to get revenge, they were too pathetic for that. There was the sound of screaming as well, it seemed to be coming from somewhere behind him, the only place it could be was the bar. Retracing his steps Johnny ran back to find that the front door had been kicked clean off it's hinges, stepping into the doorway he got a clean view of what was going on. What looked to be bandits were terrorizing the patrons and making a large mess of the establishment, after everything they had been through just to be put through this... it just pissed Johnny off. Zipping up the sleeves of his jackets he cracked his knuckles rather loudly, he seemed to get the attention of one of them holding a sawed off shotgun. Winding his arm back and launching it forward with his palm outstretched he slammed the guy right in the face, smashing him into the wall. Leaving a nice imprint of the scum he pulled his arm back and started cracking his neck, by now the other three had turned to face him and didn't look very happy, but Johnny was in a much fouler mood at the moment. These good people have just finished going through one hell of an ordeal and now you're pulling this bullshit stunt? No. This is your one chance to grab your friend and get out of here before I beat each of you within an inch of your lives... if you're lucky. I've never been good at self control when in a fight.

Calico

Whilst the clouds parted to let the brilliant sunlight in and gloriously glow over the sea & harbour dousing it in a fantastic warmth, a ship arrived on the horizon. Riding the waves at such grand speed the man at the helm waved jubilantly singing a sea shanty at the top of his lungs.

Bouncing on the waves as the ship begun to slow down, a bearded man with burly arms & riddled with tattoos begun to lower the winch for the anchor. Alongside the right hand side of the ship was some writing and a picture of a smiley face with an outstretched arm holding a bottle.

The wording read Booze Cruise with the smiley as one of the O's in Booze.

Feeling the alcohol wearing off and the sunlight falling over himself, Calico grinned. It felt good, but he was growing bored in this town. He heard the sound of a few blades clanging against one another in the distance and thought maybe he had the chance to rush over and join in, but as he turned he caught sight of the real source.

It was just a few pieces of scaffolding clashing into one another. Sighing he turned and continued towards the harbour.

Johnny

Shocked at the sudden assault on their leader and dismissal of him with a single punch the other four bandits turned towards Johnny. With light shinning from the sun behind him through the door and around him, he looked as if he were a saint of some kind. A glorious golden angel sent to save the patrons in their time of need.

Gaping in terror of the strength of the man with cyan coloured hair and incredible strength to take down their leader with a single punch, the bandits slowly raised their hands and dropped their weaponry.

The clattering of rifles, swords, flintlock pistols & rusty knives was heard as they quickly made their way to the door and awkwardly squeezed past Johnny & the door frame carrying their leader along with them.

All the time uttering quietly.

"Sorry, sorry, sorry."

Whoever this manw as, they wouldn't be messing with him again. He'd proven to them they should leave this town alone. Especially if it were to be protected by this man.

Gracious for his help the patrons leapt to their feet in good cheer for the rescue. Shouting at the top of their lungs their gratefulness for Johnny's rescue they rushed towards him, planting kisses on him, pushing drinks into his face and even on putting his to Johnny's lips and tipping the glass attempting to make him drink his ale.

Raife

Whilst Raife reached into his pocket and unwrapped a small caramel sweet his eyes worked frantically attempting to spot a sign or some form of navigational signs leading him to the harbour. He just needed to find one ship and he would be golden.

He had a bag of navigational tools as it was, a series of sweets & all the weaponry he needed to defend himself with, given he was in the right territory.

Spotting a sign he darted towards it and pounced. Breaking the stand the sign & Raife fell head over heels. Slamming into the ground he sat up and after a quick stretch read over the sign and the direction it was pointing.

Glancing he nodded. The sun shone over him, but didn't surprise him nor much else. He had mostly been expecting it anyway. Getting to his feet and dusting himself off, Raife begun to run feeling the candy goodness of sugar doing its work on fuelling his body.

Half way to the harbour he'd already crashed & burnt. It wasn't good, but he didn't care. Popping two more caramel sweets into his mouth, his eyes begun spinning, cheeks pulled his face into a smile and feet begun running.

He was back on his way to the harbour and at lightning speed.

Johnny was prepared to take some heat from the bandits when they raised their hands, but they dropped their weapons, that was strange considering there was no way in hell any of them stood a chance against him in a fist fight. They didn't stand a chance against him regardless but that wasn't the point. He couldn't remember the last time someone backed down from him and actually did as he asked, everyone else was a huge pain in the ass and insisted on annoying him. He was all for fighting but when you were totally outmatched it was time to call it quits. Focusing back to the business at hand Johnny watched as the bandits collected their fallen leader and struggled to squeeze past Johnny all the while uttering apology after apology. He wasn't the one they needed to apologize to but considering there hadn't been too much damage Johnny was going to let it slide, just because he's a bleeding freakin heart.

It seemed in those brief moments it had been registered in everyone's minds that Johnny was the greatest thing since sliced bread. A horde of patrons rushed forward him, shouting cheers and thanks you's as well as hugging and kissing him. That was very weird to have to experience but he figured he might as well roll with it, they were good people who were just grateful for being saved. The best part though was everyone trying to shove a drink in his face, it was still kinda early but not too early of course. Downing the ale he had been somewhat forced to drink he started to take one after another, it's not like he had to leave right away so he had plenty of time to bask in his glory before making a run for it.

Calico

Arriving in time to catch sight of the Booze Cruise, Calico was called to by the man who had lowered the anchor. The ship grinded to a halt and as the man waved to Calico he said.

"We've got a delivery for the local tavern, could you point us to it?"

Raising his eyebrow at the man's oddly high pitch tone, Calico nodded. His brain had begun to hatch and idea. Daichi would get his booze, that much was for sure.

"Yea, course I can, let me just help you with that booze."

Smiling the two men rushed to lay down the gangplank which Calico helped with of course. In a matter of moments the Captain or at least the man who had been at the helm was bringing down crates filled with booze. Laying them on the ground he turned to Calico.

"So which way is it to the tavern then?"

"Well if you head up the road and take the second left you should see it at the other end of the street on the, right hand side. Its called the Tangerine Talons, or something like that."

"Thank you so much, would you care to give us a hand in carrying our crates?" the captain asked as his fellow crew mate had already begun grunting as he hurried on to drop off the booze.

Shaking his head Calico replied.

"I'd love to, but my backs in no condition to, sorry mate. But I'll look after your ship for you, I mean you don't want some rapscallion running off on it right? You seem like busy people with allot of deliveries to make."

Raising an eyebrow, it was clear the Captain was weary, but from what he'd heard about this town though, it wasn't exactly one who stole, killed or even harmed one another without a bloody good reason that was for the greater good.

And there couldn't be one of those reasons where booze was concerned. Agreeing the Captain nodded.

"We shouldn't be too long. Thank you, kind sir."

Grinning as he saw the back of them, Calico rushed up the gangplank leaving his lies behind him.

Raife

Opening his eyes Raife could feel his head throbbing and something warm trickling down over his top lip. licking it up he realized it wasn't as sweet as he'd hoped.

Twas blood. Sitting up and rubbing the back of his head he noticed what had happened. He'd been running so fast and paid so little attention, he'd ran straight into a wall. Touching his nose gently he could feel it was still in tact, if not tender.

Hearing the grunts of some heavy set men make their way past with large crates a large smile stretched over his face until his eyes landed on the contents.

Booze? Awh, I was hoping for candy! he thought to himself before he picked himself up and peered around the corner of the building he'd slammed into. He could see that there was a man with an anchor climbing aboard their ship. He wasn't certain if this was his ship or not, but either way he was getting aboard it.

The only problem would be not allowing himself to get noticed, he'd have to try & be a stowaway.

Making sure the coast was clear, Raife sprinted from the harbour towards the ship, leaping at the last second he removed a tomahawk from his bag and jammed the blade deep into the side of the ship. Quickly grabbing hold of a small pattern which ran around the side of the ship, he quickly placed his tomahawk back into his bag and started to make his way around the ship to a lower window.

Spotting a protruding cannon he grinned. This would be just perfect.

Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship Empty Re: Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship

Post by Colm Fri Jan 24, 2014 2:51 am

After having a few drinks the place was starting to settle down at least a tad, not too many people were all over him like before so that was good at least. Johnny managed to squeeze himself through the crowd and slip out the back door, walking out the alleyway and into the street he sighed loudly with a smile on his face. He liked this place, it knew how to have a good time and the people were pretty good as well, there were some punks true but Johnny was the biggest punk on the island at the moment. Gathering his thoughts he managed to recall someone saying something about a new shipment of alcohol coming in today from some ship. Luckily they had managed to explain which way the harbor was so even a moron like Johnny couldn't get lost. Starting off in the direction of the harbor he made sure to keep himself as hidden as he could, he didn't want anyone stopping him or try to keep him from leaving for whatever reason. Johnny wasn't big on goodbyes either. Several minutes passed by before he came to the realization he hadn't found that guy from the other today to talk with him, of course he didn't really have much to say but at least punching him in the face would be enough of a punishment. Looking up he noticed he'd reached his destination, the harbor had a few ships of different sizes scattered about. The closest one however seemed like the best choice, it was rather large and seemed like it was built to last. Johnny wasn't going to be cruising around in a dingy all his life, so it was time for an upgrade. Noticing the gangplank was down he walked across it, upon boarding the ship Johnny started to wander around the deck and admire the craftsmanship of the vessel a bit before departing.

Calico
Johnny

Once aboard, Calico smiled as he took a quick look around, grabbing the winch and quickly hiking up the anchor he made a point of getting out of here as quick as possible. And maybe later he'd try ticking some drinks off the booze list taken from Daichi's desk.

Hearing a loud thud, Calico stopped for a second and waited for any further sounds. Not hearing anything of importance he returned to the winch. Once the anchor was up he headed towards the helm which is where he heard footsteps behind him.

Coming into eyesight of the man he'd seen days earlier with cyan hair and quite a bit of height over him, Calico paused.

"This is my boat!" e shouted awkwardly not sure why he was trying to convince this guy who in all honesty didn't seem to know any better than he did.

Raife

Climbing in through the window and over the cannon, Raife quickly found himself in a large room filled with crates of booze, all of which was restrained to the wall.

"If this were candy, I might've been impressed." he whispered to himself quietly before climbing inside an empty box in the corner and removing a new lolly pop from his bag. He quickly unwrapped it and stuck it in his mouth. With a new dose of sugar rushing through his body a smile crept over his face & his eyes closed. He would enjoy this nap, he'd been running from people far too long and now he was happy like a baby. Sucking on a nice treat and curled up in a small comfy box.

Life was good.

Johnny could hear the sound of a chain rattling and looked over the edge of the ship to see the anchor being raised, looks like he wasn't the only person aboard this vessel. The thought hadn't occurred to him that this boat might be loaded with people, although that didn't exactly matter. Johnny was sure if he explained he just needed a right to the next island then everything would be okay. Walking off towards the helm Johnny heard footsteps for a few brief moments before a man came into view. Johnny couldn't help but let a smirk creep across his face, he was killing two birds with one stone. Not only did he have a ship to set sail with, but he also found the troublemaker from the other day. There you are, the washed up moron that pissed off those pirates. I see you're stealing a ship now, good choice, this is a fine vessel. Crossing his arms Johnny started to stare the man down. I don't give a damn if this is now your boat. It's time for me to leave this island and move on to the next, so I'm sticking around for the ride whether you want me to or not.

Calico
Johnny

Hearing what johnny had to say to him, Calico nodded and turned around, heading to the helm he just wanted to get off of this island and out to sea.

"Yea, thats me. Captain Calico Hail, not sure if you got my name the other day. But yea, most people usually forget the Captain part. And I they only got pissed cause I took something that they didn't deserve. Anyway I don't mind giving you a life to the next island, but I think you better know, I have no idea how to navigate, so we could be at sea for a long time before we run into another island. So unless you can, get settled in."

As the ship started to turn, Calico unwrapped his anchor and used it quickly to hit the winch that this ship had fixed on to the mast which controlled the sails. Slamming the winch down he watched as the sails unravelled themselves and opened up just in time to catch a large gust that would carry them from the island.

Winding the anchor back and tying it to his waist once more he smiled. He now had a ship. Just what he'd been looking for.

Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship Empty Re: Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship

Post by Colm Fri Jan 24, 2014 3:33 am

Johnny couldn't help but laugh, he remembered the whole conversation aboard the pirate ship days ago between Calico and "Haggus", he referred to himself as captain then too. This meant that Calico was a pirate as well, the sea was just full of them it seemed, Johnny of course was no different. What really made the cyan haired punk crack up though was the fact that Calico had no idea to navigate and Johnny was probably even worse. That meant they were going to be travelling together for a little while, no big deal, judging from the look of the ship he was sure there were enough rations to last them a couple of days at the least. Calico performed some little maneuver to get the sails down, it was impressive to see him swing the anchor around to get things done, he probably used it for combat as well. Sighing loudly and scratching his head Johnny thought for a moment, there wasn't really anything for him to do so right now was just down time. Yeah, I can tell my right from my left and that's pretty much it. I've never had a good sense of direction although I'm good enough at reading a map. So I guess I'll leave this to you captain, if you need me I'll be up in the crow's nest. Waving Calico off Johnny walked over towards the base of the crow's nest, crouching down he winded himself up and jumped up. Grabbing ahold of the ledge he pulled himself over and laid down against the edge, his attention being focused ahead of them. Johnny was excited to see what they would encounter on this little voyage.

Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship Empty Re: Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship

Post by Docile Fri Jan 24, 2014 3:53 am

A few hours later . . .

Calico
Johnny

Standing at the helm with his hair brushed back and a puzzled look on his face, it was clear Calico was lost. The ship had left the island a few hours ago and in all directions there was only clear blue skies & deadly blue waters. In all honesty he wasn't sure which way to go and just wanted to start over. Sadly though there was no such chance. He knew where he needed to be though. If he were on land then finding this treasure would be a treat, however in the sea it was like losing a pin in a haystack.

Slamming into the side of the ship a large wave shook Calico from the helm. Hitting the side of the ship he grunted. Picking himself back up to his feet he looked up towards Johnny. He wanted to get to know him a little better, but he wanted a drink more.

Looking from side to side he figured there was nothing around that would cause trouble, so he quickly headed downstairs. Using his anchor to crack open a crate, two bottles rolled out.

One smashed on the floor whilst the second one he managed to catch. Raising it he read over he label.

Green Goose Gods

"They're really naming some of these drinks strange things nowadays." he muttered before using his teeth to crack the top off and taking a sip. Washing it around in his mouth for a few moments before swallowing it, he nodded.

"Not bad. I've definitely tasted worse."

Making his way back upstairs he still had no idea of the stowaway who lay asleep in the crates.

Raife

Hearing the smash of glass woke Raife, his eyes flickered open and he sat up freezing in position. He could hear someone but refused to make his presence known.

He could hear the waves outside and the gentle swaying of the sea.

We must be at sea. he thought to himself as he picked himself up and out of the crate. Realizing the lolly was now all gone he dropped the stick on the floor and crept towards the stairs where he'd heard the bottle smash.

Sniffing at the booze he grimaced and pulled away, whatever it was it smelt foul. Peering up the stairs he reached into his satchel and pounced up to the next landing with a tomahawk in hand.

You never could be too safe aboard someone else's ship.

Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship Empty Re: Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship

Post by Colm Mon Jan 27, 2014 6:00 am

Turning his head in every direction Johnny was met with nothing but the sight of endless sea, looks like Calico hadn't been kidding when he said he had no idea where he was going. It could have been worse though, Johnny could be steering and they could have crashed and sunk against the only rock for miles. Johnny had that kind of luck, it really sucked sometimes. He was bored up on the crow's nest but at the same time he was filled with a certain sense of peacefulness, it was strange but the peace and quiet was actually kind of soothing. He figured he might as well get used to it considering there was nothing for him to do, their only option was to sort of drift aimlessly until they managed to hit land, hopefully that would happen sooner rather than later. Peeking over the edge he looked down on to the deck, Johnny felt it was kind of strange to have such a big ship be so empty, his mind started to wander and before he knew it he was daydreaming of a large pirate crew. It was like the one's told about in stories, men and even women of all different walks of life sailing the seas in search of treasure and glory, participating in many adventures and battles and just having the times of their lives. It was the good life, and Johnny hoped one day he could experience something as awesome as that.

Calico
Johnny

Noticing Johnny awake in the crow's nest Calico nodded to him before taking a huge gulp of beer down his throat. Wiping his mouth he called out to Johnny.

"Get your ass down here Johnny! Its gonna be a while before we find any land.....I think so we may as well become more acquainted and well, nothing helps more to become acquainted than booze, so grab a bottle and maybe we can get started on opening up about shit and work our way through this list of booze I stole."

Checking the name of the bottle Calico pulled out the list and searched through it for Green Goose Gods.

Spotting it towards the bottom he quickly ticked it off with a smudge of dirt from his fingers.

"Green Goose Gods Ale. Check!"

Sitting down with his back against the railings opposite the helm, Calico waited for Johnny to join him. With his anchor tightly tied to his right forearm.

Raife

Peering out through the hatch leading on to the main deck Raife bit his lip, he thought about his actions quickly and popped a white & red sweet into his mouth from his pocket.

With a bit of sugar rushing through his body, his natrual speed and acrobatic ability he'd make this pretty easy. Sprinting from the hatch quickly Raife rushed from the stairs, managing to keep under the sails which would obscure Johnny's sight he pressed himself against the mast.

Removing a tomahawk he dug it into the mast making as little noise as was possible. Using the sails as cover he started to climb up it knowing that the ma who'd dropped the bottle was now sitting at the helm on the opposite side of the ship to him and as long as he managed to stay directly under the crow's nest and sails he would be just fine.

Taking a quick look over the ship from his position Raife quickly begun to calculate his chances of success and plan out his actions of where to go, who to attack and how. Grinding his teeth slightly due to having to stop momentarily he took notice of the man drinking calling to the man in the crow's nest.

Johnny he thought to himself as he catalogued the name into his brain for later. Not that he'd need the name, but it'd be nice to put a name to a face.

Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship Empty Re: Serious: The Tomahawk that stopped the ship

Johnny had been off in deep thought, planning an adventure in his head where he rose to the top with a mighty crew and they became known as the greatest pirates to ever set sail. They were just about to all be crowned on the big screen as he was snapped back to reality by a voice calling out to him. Sighing loudly Johnny let a smile creep across his face. Well... it was nice while it lasted. He was referring to the dream of course, it was about time something shattered the silence. Peering over the edge once again he scanned the deck below and was able to identify Calico sitting against the railing opposite of the helm. He was calling for Johnny, apparently he wanted to get drunk and have a male bonding moment, sounded fun enough so he said what the hell and started to climb over the side of the crow's nest. That's when he realized something. Two men alone on a ship getting drunk together... He started to laugh. Might as well give the fangirls what they want right?

Swinging himself over Johnny landed on the ground with a thud, he coiled his legs as he impacted in order to absorb the blow so he didn't even feel anything. Walking past Calico he offered him a smile. Sounds good to me. Heading downstairs he found dozens of crates, grabbing one he thought looked nice and pretty he smashed the top of it open in order to look inside. Seemed like this had been a ship for transporting alcohol, he wondered if Calico and himself would survive the trip. Pulling out a bottle he made his way back upstairs and over to Calico. Johnny glanced at the bottle for a moment before opening it up. Seafarer's Sadness, here goes. Taking a swig of the bottle Johnny found irony in the name of the drink considering it's sweet taste. Well that was pretty damn good, I think this may be your best idea yet captain.

Calico
Johnny

Joining him Calico was surprised when Johnny mentioned this was his best idea captain. His eyebrow rose as some of Green Goose God Ale ran down the wrong hole. Coughing and spluttering a little he hit himself in the chest to sort it out. Looking up at Johnny he questioned.

"Captain? I thought I was just giving you a lift."

He wouldn't have minded finding a new member to his crew but this had taken him by surprise a tall man with what seemed to be a strange technique that allowed him to absorb impacts? At least that what it seemed like. When he'd landed his legs had seemed a little strange but he couldn't put his finger on it. Most men would break their legs dropping like that.

"How did you survive that drop from the crow's nest? Most men would break a leg or two from a drop like that? Its about a good ole drop."

Raife

Watching as Johnny landed on the ground and headed down for his drink and continued the conversation with the other man who he refereed to as Captain, Raife quickly continued his way up the mast. Climbing into the crow's nest he grinned, quickly peering over the edge he planned his attack. spinning his tomahawk in his hands he reached into his pocket.

Unwrapping a candy cane he stuck it in his mouth and begun to suck on it with the hooked end sticking out, holding it in his mouth as if it were a cigar he sucked on the end enjoying the sugar rush that surged through his body. This would help him with his speed in the assault. Taking a deep breath he closed his eyes and waited as he crouched down in the crow's nest.

Johnny started laughing a little at Calico's coughing fit, seemed like he had been caught off guard. Well you're the one who stole this ship, so I'd have to say that technically makes you captain. I'm sure as hell not taking that position. Finally came the question Johnny had been expecting for quite a while, Calico was inquiring on the freak show and it was about damn time honestly. Besides my bad luck I was cursed with something else, I ate a devil fruit and was granted powers that I'd have to say are pretty sweet. Forming his abdomen into a spring Johnny started to twist and turn in ways that would destroy most men's spines. I was turned into a spring man. My arm, legs, and even my abdomen can be turned into a spring. This let's me survive huge drops just by coiling myself up as I hit the ground, not to mention I can launch myself at high speeds or even attack from a distance. Returning himself to normal he took another drink from the bottle and savored the taste for a moment before returning his attention to Calico. It comes in handy when it's time to kick some ass.

Calico
Johnny

Hearing Johnny's answer about him stealing the ship and thus that making him Captain Calico chuckled.

"Hell if thats what it takes to make a Captain I should technically have a entire fleet. But hey names not Captain Calico Hail for nothing."

Whilst Johnny explained and demonstrated his cursed devil fruit powers, Calico grinned. This was exactly the sort of man he would need aboard his crew. in all honesty he hadn't paid much attention to what Johnny had said after the word Devil. He'd been too busy thinking this guy was a cursed devil who had a spring for a body due to his demonstration and that was good enough for him.

Without a moments hesitation Calico hoped to his feet and took another gulp of his drink. Extending his hand towards Johnny his next words were that of recruitment.

"I want you to join my crew!"

Raife

Seeing this as the perfect moment, since from what he'd heard the man who identified himself as Calico was slurring a little, his co-ordination would be slightly off and that'd be just perfect for him and his hyper little brain and unsightly speed.

Hopping over the edge of the nest and plummeting downwards towards the sail Raife dug his tomahawk into the sail slicing down clean through it almost all the way.

With his other hand free Raife reached out for on of the ropes tied to the bottom keeping the sail hoisted. As his fingers slowly wrapped around it and his hand suffered slight friction burn he came to a halt. The sail split in two and begun to flutter backwards as the rope Raife held on to was sliced by his tomahawk.

Using the resistance that had been holding the sail in place to launch himself, Raife was found flying through the air towards both Johnny & Calico.

Reaching into his bag with his free hand for a tomahawk, Raife begun to spin them whilst in mid air.

White Menace

As the two tomahawks in his hands were thrown spinning, light glistened from them so brightly all that could be seen were two white orbs shooting towards Calico & Johnny. One to each of them.

Whilst these tomahawks sped towards their targets with incredible speed, Raife reached back into his bag once more. Beginning to quickly spin a tomahawk in his right hand Raife was already picking up incredible momentum for his Sheer! technique for when he landed.

With a grin on his face and his lazy eye doing what it did best he was ready for a fight.

Looks like Johnny had done all he had to in order to get Calico's attention, extending his hand forward the proclaimed captain wanted Johnny to join his crew. Johnny took another drink while staring him in the eye, he was considering the offer really because he had nowhere else to go. After drifting around on your own for a while you come to understand that if there's nobody standing beside you then you're not even standing at all. This could be the beginning of something great, the two of them beginning on a journey to more or less take on the world. It had a fantastic sound to it. Or maybe that was the strange sound Johnny's ears were picking up on. Turning to the side his attention fixated on the cut sail, that had been perfectly intact a few moments ago and the only one's on board were Calico and himself. At least that's how it was supposed to be. Johnny's eyes picked up on a sickly blur speeding towards the two of them with glimmering objects taking the lead. Shit! Diving to the side Johnny narrowly avoided the blade that dug into the railing behind where he had been once standing. Getting back up on his feet he could see it was an axe, or more like a tomahawk he figured considering it had been thrown. Looking over to the assailant that landed Johnny could see he was twirling another one in his hands. Forming fists and getting ready to give this guy an ass whooping Johnny realized both hands were empty. That was a problem. Looking back to where he had landed he realized he'd dropped the bottle he'd been drinking out of and it had spilled all over the place. A perfectly good drink wasted. Turning back to the weirdo Johnny was ticked off. You owe me a drink ya bastard.

Calico
Johnny
Raife

Watching as Johnny thought about the offer and suddenly turned around and jumped out of the way Calico didn't react quick enough to the blur of white light hurtling towards him. By the time one of the lights stopped he could see it was a tomahawk dug into the railing behind where Johnny had once been standing.

Raising his anchor in front of his torso he heard a clang as metal slammed into metal. Lowering the anchor he could see another tomahawk lying on the ground.

Turning he heard the thud of feet to his left. Looking to see what seemed to be a green haired man with arrows all over his body, Calico smirked.

"Who the hell're you and what're you doing aboard MY ship?"

Raising his anchor and already prepared for a bit of Anchor Assault: Hook Arm combat Calico heard Johnny remark about being owed a new drink.

"Don't worry you'll get your drink, shes called the ocean."

Looking at Calico, Raife considered him to be the opponent he didn't have to worry about as much. He'd had some booze and seemed less able to stand up properly as for Johnny he seemed to be pretty solid.

"I think your asking the wrong questions Calico I'm the man whose going to steal your ship and due to your logic Johnny become a Captain."

Letting out a high pitched squeal of a laugh Raife flickered his eyes from Calico to Johnny and back again.

Seems like this guy had a smart mouth, Johnny could appreciate that, but not when it was being directed to him. He was trying to take out the two of them in order to take control of the ship, this guy didn't seem like he was qualified to fly a kite let alone steer a ship. Cracking his knuckles Johnny flashed a grin at the stranger. You're going to send me overboard? That's a laugh, bigger and tougher men have tried and they all learned a valuable lesson. Coiling up his arm Johnny got ready to drop the weirdo. How about you kiss my ass and jump over the edge, you look like you could use a swim. On second thought, let me help you out there. Launching his fist forward Johnny was aiming to punch the guy in the neck, he'd cut off the air flow and make it easier to knock him down. Of course that could be all it takes to put the guy on his ass, Johnny was never very good at holding back after all.

Calico
Johnny
Raife

When Johnny opened his mouth and begun to speak Raife smiled back at him. A quick fist was fired off towards his neck. It seemed Johnny didn't expect his speed when Raife quickly just raised his hand with the fingers spinning the tomahawk quickly in the way. The speed it was turning at now the blades would easily slice through Johnny's fingers & even skin his knuckles if he came anywhere near close.

Although thanks to Raife's unnatural speed gifted to him due to a constant diet of sugar and his glands the blade was defending his neck within a matter of seconds and before Johnny's fist was anywhere close by the blade had already made 8 full rotations.

Watching as this happened Calico begun to use his Anchor Assault: Hook Arm: Captain Hook he felt he'd have much more defence than Johnny would with his anchor. Rushing towards Raife's left side with his arm tied up in ropes and with a titanium anchor he attempted to drive the hook through Raife's abdomen.

However Raife had caught sight of this and easily as well as quickly turned so his right now faced the back and his left faced Johnny. As Calico stood beside him having missed due to his lightning quick speed, he looked at Raife to suddenly find Raife had pulled another tomahawk out.

Johnny stopped his arm short and pulled it back, returning it to normal. It was in his best interest that he did so, the weirdo was capable of moving rather quickly and if Johnny tried anything he might end up missing a few fingers. Seeing as he was rather fond of those he decided he should play a little safer. Calico took a swing at him but missed, it wasn't surprising considering how quick their enemy was along with the fact Calico seemed to be a little off. Johnny would be able to land a hit but it would cost him some flesh, Calico wouldn't get too badly injured if he got close but he'd never be able to make contact. This was going to require some teamwork, a plan would also come in handy but Johnny couldn't do everything. A small flash of light hitting him in the eyes seemed to prove otherwise however, turning his attention he found one of the tomahawks on the floor and noticed the one still dug into the railing. Stepping over to them as nonchalantly as possible Johnny picked the one up off the floor and pulled the other out, he quickly flung the two aiming for the chest and leg at the psycho standing before him. Hopefully Calico would take advantage of this and try to land a shot.

Calico
Johnny
Raife

With Calico at his side and the springy man pulling his arm back, Raife quickly twisted the tomahawk in his right hand upside down and attempted an uppercut towards Calico's face. Seeing the sudden movement right beside his face Calico attempted to avoid this attack. Stepping back and trying to pick himself up as the blade sliced through his cheek from his neck a little Calico mostly managed to avoid any real harm.

Getting to his feet and feeling the railing slam into his back he looked at Raife who had turned his attention back to Johnny who seem to have thrown two of the mystery man's blades back at him. Running his hand over the cut Calico could feel some blood dripping down, it stung but it was nothing serious, yet.

Seeing his own blades coming back his way Raife quickly dropped his tomahawks in hand into his bag and grabbed either side of his bag. With the blades getting close he replied to Johnny.

"If ya think you can use my weaponry against me you're wrong!"

Lifting his bag up beneath the blades he quickly captured them in his bag allowing the other objects he carried along with the soft material that held the bag together to take the brunt of the force behind the attack.

Placing a hand on the wheel Raife grinned. He now had the upper hand and he knew it.

"Lets see if you guys got your sea legs yet." winking at Johnny then shooting a glance towards Calico, Raife quickly spun the wheel forwards. Gripping it tightly the entire ship begun to spin to the right. Seeing that Johnny & Calico were on the right & himself on the left, this would be ideal.

The ship was thrown right with incredible force, below deck crates all slid and bottles smashed.

Hearing the glass shattering almost broke Calico's heart a little. He loved his drink and now that allot of it would be gone, he wasn't too happy.

"Hey, you should be careful, you don't want to break all that booze!"

Feeling the ship's sudden movement Calico hooked his anchor between the railings and found himself holding on to it tightly to stop himself from being thrown. Looking towards Johnny he hoped he would be safe.
