Appearance: Vae is a rather feminine male, with long flowing hair with two curling bangs on the side of his face. He has milky white skin with light blue eyes and two pronounced canine teeth that stick through his lips. He. Is. Not. A. Vampire. (So says he). He has a strangely narrow waist, putting a bit of curviness in his slender form. When it comes to his stature, he tends to walk on to toes with his body stretching upwards as much as possible to make himself seem taller.

Vae wears a long cloak with a higher collar. He tends to wear frilly shirts with doublets, while the wrist part is baggy, the rest fits well to his figure. The same can be said for his trousers and buccaneer boots. He keeps a sketchbook held by a strap connected to his belt, it tends to protect his backside.

He keeps his utensils around his body. The three pens and pencils each are placed underneath his belt at the front. The two cans of spray paint are tucked into his sleeves. He tends to keep the brush underneath his trousers behind him.

Personality: Vae has a rather mirthful personality. He likes jokes and playing around as much as the next person, though he is rather protective of his art. He thinks that there should be a specific art form for each kind of artistic applicant. A pencil should be sharp and detailed, while a large tipped pen should be cartoony and so forth. He tends to dislike anyone who makes fun of his art, which mostly extends to trying to maim them through it.

He’s gotten used to being thought of as a vampire, as well as a girl, he just shrugs it off and tends to let people figure out for themselves as to his gender. If someone continuously confuses him for a female however, he’d pretend to be more flamboyant and make excuses not to do something because “he’s a girl”. However, when it comes to vampire he often corrects people in their misassumptions, though if it helps him he’d let them continue to think that way, such as throwing a clove of garlic at him would give him a reason to flee. He doesn’t really like sunlight, but that’s mostly because it gives him a nasty sunburn due to his very white skin.

When it comes to fighting, Vae doesn’t like to get up close and personal. He knows he’d just fail at defending himself due to his lack of any actual weapons and so prefers to use his devil fruit to keep people at bay. For this reason if he knows he’s going to have to fight someone, he’d set up traps in advance, such as making wall animals ready to bring out at a moment’s notice or draw up a gun.

Character History

Background
Vae was born in a fairly large city island of the name Endless Blue, referring to the natural large hole in the middle of the place that showed off massive amounts of blue albeit thought to be worthless crystal. For the most part, it broke up easily and would taint water should it be dipped in. However, it was soon to be found as a good source of blue paint, since one could just mix it up. So it became a good tourist attraction and joined with the World Government.

This of course spawned much unrest for some of the natives, who believed that they should follow their own path, without the “help” of others. Throughout the city, religious sects began to spring up, the Clavdivs, the Slavivs, Chlorus, Cocceivs, and so forth. Each one claimed territory for themselves, fighting against the World Government as well as themselves for control of the island. The Chlorus Sect controlled one third of the city, while the Aelivs controlled the other third and the Marines the rest. Other Sects who were too late to the party were scattered around the countryside and neighbouring towns. The Sects were lead by one leader, and the thread that connected them all together was the body of their original leader, whom the Sect was named after. Chlorus managed to deal the killing blow to the Marine Commander as well as Slaviv before succumbing to his wounds brought by a treacherous Aeliv (or so they’ve been told). Vae was born in the Chlorus Sect’s district, and was brought up on their belief that they were the superior revolutionary group. Every so often he’d be mistaken as a vampire or a girl, so he just soon went with it.

He would often doodle rather than take part in any of the constant clashes with the other Sects, thus often being beaten or threatened with death. He always preferred drawing anyway, he was more defensive about his drawings than his looks. He wanted to become the best drawer in the world, but that would be stupid because art is about expression and you can never really have the “best” of something when it came to that. So instead, he wanted to perfect his own style, and to own many, many styles. Thus, he would usually stay at the back whenever he was caught into one, clutching a dagger and pretending like he actually wanted to get stuck in. He didn’t. One day however as he hid away from a battle, he heard one particular phrase, “BEHOLD MY POWE-BLCHCHHH”, which was assumed to be an arrow in the throat. A couple of moments later, an apple on a tree began to warp and twist into some kind of.. Weird thing. He dropped down and took a bite, feeling absolute poison drip into his throat, he spat and almost (not really) died from its horrid taste.

He was doodling a horse again a couple of days later when he was sure he wasn’t ding when he found that his sketch came to life for some reason, and galloped off of the sketchbook and fell onto the floor, slapping itself back into two-dimensionalism. What the hell. Ages passed before he was actually able to control it, while his Sect began to grow in influence that they could get their own ships to spread their teachings to the world. He was one of the people chosen to make sure their preachers weren’t killed.

Level 2: The user becomes a sketch human. The user is able to turn their drawings into three-dimensional beings. Sketches retain the properties that they are drawn to be.
Creatures who are created via the drawing are taken to the one who has drawn them, if the user uses a picture drawn by someone else, it will obey the drawer more than the fruit user.
Two dimensional drawings can be activated up to ten meters away.
The drawings can be enlarged up to three times their original size.
The user may now turn themselves into a two dimensional drawing by running into a smooth surface at high speed. However, they cannot move except to become return to their normal self.

Level 3: The user becomes a sketch human. The user is able to turn their drawings into three-dimensional beings. Sketches retain the properties that they are drawn to be.
Creatures brought to life by the fruit user obey the fruit user only, unless the user commands it to.
Two dimensional drawings can be activated from anywhere.
The drawings can be enlarged up to ten times its original size.
The user may now turn themselves into any kind of drawing, two or three dimensional and draw upon themselves. They can move around as a two-dimensional drawing on a wall.

Devil Fruit Abilities: The user becomes a sketch human. They are able to turn any drawing they make into a three dimensional version of itself. The drawing retains the properties of what the drawing signifies, if it’s a large bird, then it can fly. If it’s a drawing of a mole, then it can dig. While the user can make food that tastes like the real thing but hurts the consumer’s stomach due to it being made of ink. Just as much, the user is able to become a drawing themselves. A painting can enter a flat surface to become a two dimensional drawing once more.

Devil Fruit Weaknesses: Standard devil fruit weaknesses. A rubber/eraser can break up the drawings as well as the user unless they use a pen. Water will wipe away ink, however.
