Vigil, Bonnet & Gin

Hearing the words that came from Vigil's mouth Dash's eyes widened and the response to his question from Gin only shocked him further. Catching sight of the acid Vigil used to stop the bullets harming him, Dash didn't much care that this man had saved him from three more intended wound medals.

Letting out a loud belly laugh he looked at the swordsman, the one armed fool & the kid whose shoes were too big for his feet and turned away.

"You want to kill Cortez you've got to get past me first and the man with a diamond arm couldn't even handle me, so a scrawny swordsman like you has no chance. One armed man if your still with us, your greatest weakness is your stupidity, you don't attack an opponent till you know how they fight, otherwise you can land yourself in a sticky wicket like you did. I could've taken it further and blown off something else too, but I didn't see the point. Oh and kid." turning to face Vigil Dash looked him in the eye.

"You ain't ma boss, you can't tell me when enough is enough or ask for me to give a fool like him who attacked me first medical treatment after I just took his arm, he wanted to keep it so bad he shouldn't have been so stupid."

Spitting towards Bonnet Dash turned and started to walk away. He had enough of these pathetic misfits.


Mishi

Listening to Mishi's words of not stealing but only selling Cortez was ready to throw her out and even started to gesture it until the next words came tumbling out. Beautiful! everyone has a price. Looking at her with a cheeky grin stretched over his face, Cortez sat forward and leant towards her.

"This artifact is worth 10,000,000 Beli, its a small round golden necklace on a thick golden chain. Pure gold. On the pendant there are two small round eyes. Both a ruby red, cause they are actual rubies in the pendant and the teeth are fashioned out of pearls. All the other decorations of the face are sapphires & emeralds. SO now do I have your attention?"

[Vigil]

Vigil stared in disbelief as that fool walked away like he was called Pimp Daddy Dash. He had this raging stench of over confidence. At the moment, he couldn't do anything about that. What he said was true though, don't fight anyone until you've seen them fight. Vigil noted down Dash's explosive capabilities and turned to the large group now behind him.

"Well thanks you idiots. Nearly got all of you killed. Alright Mr. Diamond man, time to get you a doctor."

Vigil walked over to the man with a single arm and dropped his elemental state. He didn't want to hurt the man any further. He placed his still intact arm over his neck and shoulders then dragged him up to the swordsman that recently appeared.

"So you want Cortez's head? Come with me, fighting him alone won't be an easy task. Once this guy's fixed up, we'll see about Cortez."

Vigil dragged the man forward a bit and looked back. He was waiting for the response.

Gin glared at Dash, and he was thinking for a moment about things outside this battle. He took back his lost focus, and the Diamond Man seem like he really need a treatment. A man came toward the Diamond Man, and dropped his elemental state. He dragged the Diamond Man, and came toward Gin. He told Gin something, Gin agree with that man's statement. Fighting them alone is a death-in-instant act. Gin was asked to help the Diamond Man, Gin helped the man carry the diamond man. Gin held the Diamond Man's body, and dragged him.

My name is Gin, by the way, and, where we should put this big guy?

Gin asked the other man who was dragging the Diamond Man with Gin.

So far, so good. As Tullus entered the hideout, there was no doorman or person guarding the door. Maybe he was on break or his shift was over and he was swapping out with another guard. Who knows? Whatever was wrong for them was good for the stranger. As long as he was able to slip past Cortez's henchmen undetected, it'll be one big cakewalk til then. Slowly, the bandaged stranger walked down the corridors with extreme caution. His hand fingers were instinctively grazing over the handle of Injustice and his heartbeat was getting a little faster than he would like. All he could feel in his chest was the hard beating of his cardiovascular organ, and his eyes shifty and paranoid. This was too easy; Tullus was expecting some sort of ambush to come popping out of barrels, behind crates or just from around the corner and fill him full of lead. The stranger heard a door open nearby and footsteps coming his way. Immediately, the stranger's hands went straight to his gun, but he didn't pull it out. Few more steps and out came one of Cortez's henchmen, who was immediately surprised and a little frightened by Tullus' appearance.

"Whoa there, don't shoot!" The henchman said as he threw up his hands. "Hey, you don't look familiar. Are you sure you're supposed to be in here?" Shit, well, it looks like Tullus' façade was over and his cover was blown. Or was it? The stranger put his hands back to his side and immediately started to think of a way to get out of this situation. Lying might work. "I am one of the new henchmen our boss enlisted." Tullus said as he looked dead into the henchman's eyes. It was obvious that he was scared and wasn't really up for critical thinking, else he might say something wrong and get shot. "O-okay there, just keep your hands away from that gun of yours and we'll both walk our separate ways. Cool? Cool."

"Hold on, I need to know where Cortez private quarters are. I need to speak with him in private about some...foreign affairs."

Really. W-well, you take a left over there, go down the hall til the second cross, then..."

Directions were given, and with that, the henchman broke out in a speedy walk in a different direction, leaving Tullus all by himself again in a criminal hideout. He guessed that meant that nobody working here saw him boarding or leaving the Marine ship he was transported on. All that was left was some direction following and some people avoiding. The latter, on the other hand, didn't go so well. Almost immediately after Tullus took the first turn, he was greeted by a criminal who apparently recognized him. "Hey, I know you! You're the Marine jackass that arrested my cousin! Well, Tony in prison says hi!" The henchman immediately pulled out a sword and tried to make a swing at Tullus. He may be fast, but Tullus' gunplay was quicker. Before he could make the swing, Tullus already passed leather and ripped a bullet right into his eye, causing him to scream loudly in agony. Well, there goes his cover. The stranger then fired two more bullets into the mook's skull to shut him up before reloading and dashing off, leaving three empty revolver casings lying beside the pool of blood.

"Memento mori, Cortez..."

And he's here to do some business with the big iron on his hip...

Mishi blinked as she heard the amount. "I'll do it." She blurted before she even realised. She tried to collect her calm. Ten million beli? It was worth THAT much? She unfortunately knew no one rich enough to buy that without a thought, so Cortez must've had even deeper connections than her own. She needed to get into that market. Unfortunately she couldn't take the locket or whatever it was for her own, but three million beli?

She gulped, before asking, "Where are these marines?" She needed to be discreet of course, she didn't want to get caught, but three million beli was well worth the danger, she began to walk toward the door, waiting for Cortez to give her the directions before running off to do the job.

[Anarchy]

"Damn it all! Our captain is hurt and we couldn't do anything!" said one of the pirates, crying. They were all slightly injured but the captain needed the most treatment since he was out in the front.

"Get the diamond man and the captain a doctor!" one of the pirates shouted.
"We got a doctor here!" another one yelled standing up.

The doctor went to the two. Gizumo's treatment was simple, he just needed to be wrapped. But first, he began wrapping the body to reduce bleeding. He didn't know what to do with somebody in this state, he was just an amateur after all..

"Go find a doctor in the village everybody! There's not much I can do to save him," the doctor said as he crew began to scatter as they went on a scavenger hunt for a doctor.

Mishi

Seeing the excitement on Mishi's face Cortez grinned. When she accepted he was glad she had done so and watched as Kapa downed a bottle of vodka through his eye. The other smaller man shook his head at Kapa muttering.

"What an idiot"

Asking for the directions Mishi seemed eager to get in on this little job of his and Cortez turned to his companion Gordon.

"Gordon, you know more about this job than I do. Please explain it so we can get hold of what is ours."

Nodding and stepping forward Gordon stood opposite Mishi.

"Right this pendant is currently hanging around the neck of the Captain. His name is Captain Forelorn. He has a thick black goatee, long curly black hair that ends at his shoulders and a scar that reaches down over his right eye. We're not sure, but we think he's currently blind in that eye as the eye is a bit milky. "

"Bastard deserved it." Cortes blurted out.

"He's aboard a navy ship known as the Blue Dragoons. The ship has a blue dragon on it which is biting its own tail. The dragon is shaped like the infinity symbol. We're currently not sure where the ship is, but it could be anywhere from sitting just out of sight of the island to sitting smack bang in our harbor. You'll need to find the ship yourself. There will be a big force aboard the ship so I'd suggest either taking a sneaky route aboard the ship or taking someone with you."

Finishing his speech about the plan Gordon sat back down with his feet hanging over the edge.

Cortez sat forward once more and continued.

"So you think you can handle that?"

Hearing the sounds of gunfire further down in the lair of Cortez's each of the crew exchanged glances.

"Gordon go and check that out." Nodding and pushing past Mishi Gordon followed the sounds of the gunshots.


Tullus

Heading downstairs Gordon quickly caught the sight of blood pooling out of a room and made his way down there quickly. Reaching for the sawn off shotgun that hung from his belt, Gordon raised it slowly.

"Whose out there?" he called out. Quickening his pace at the silence he found the body of a colleague, his bloody skull with a crack in it and three cases.

Kneeling down to inspect them, Gordon shrugged it off and continued his search through the hideout looking for the man with a big iron on his hip.

Arriving at the doors of the hideout was Dash. Banging on them he was let in within seconds of threatening the guards. Once let in he made his way up to the rooftop where Cortez was currently relaxing. Kapa on the other hand had just finished his bottle of vodka and Cortez was enjoying another coconut drink.

Mishi took in the information life a sponge, even taking out a pencil and writing on her hand for notes:

Okay, she had the information she needed. She heard gunshots down the hallway, and decided it was probably time to be as far away from the hideout as possible, she’ll get the amulet, come back; if Cortez or others are dead, then she’ll sell it herself. Maybe there are some decadent celestial dragons or someone lounging around who have enough money to casually buy it, she half-joked to herself in thought. She began to walk down the hallway, taking an immediate note to go away from where she thought the gunfire was, she saw another person coming into the hideout, she tried to ignore him; ignore any insects or corpses that came her way, and tried to go down the road toward the harbour.
 
Right… She needed a marine uniform, she could pose herself as a new recruit, and she needed some hair dye, she was way to distinctive with her pink hair at the moment. Yes, today is going to be a long, long day.

Inside the enemy base, one revolver, no reinforcements, and no facade to hide behind. No matter, Tullus was certain he could make it through this. All he had to do was stay out of sight and away from anyone that looks unsavory and armed, and to not use his gun until he's up against Cortez. Who knows what'll happen if the whole place hears his more of his gunshots. Probably the whole base'll be up in arms and looking for one person. No way he was going to get out alive while he's freaking eyes-deep in mooks. Maybe if he was stronger, maybe the stranger would be able to shoot his way out of there. That, and more bullets and more gun.

Tullus heard someone shout something a few turns back, but it was too faint to clearly hear what was being said, but he knew that it was someone that found the body and was out looking for him right now. In the stranger had two choices: Hide or find Cortez. Obviously, he chose the latter because the longer he stayed here, the more time these pirates get to find him and possibly wreck the ship he was sent on. And with that decision made, Tullus ran down the halls in the directions he was told, gun held by his face and pointed upwards. Up the stairs he went, and some mooks he did meet on the staircase! Two pirates working for Cortez, armed with simple flintlock pistols. They drew their guns, but the stranger with big iron had the upper hand and a dead eye. Two shots was what it took to take care of both those pirates, causing them to fall down the stairs. He emptied out the two casings onto the ground and hopped over the corpses to make his way upstairs. Little did he know that one of them was still alive and would survive the bullet that was supposed to silence him.

Two bullets back in, six shots total. Take a left here, move quick, like greased lightning. So many thoughts and instructions ran through the stranger's head like a hive mind all trying to tell a worker what to do all at once. Where was he, one might ask?

Tullus

Hearing more gun shots Gordon followed them with his sawn off in hand. He followed the sound towards two corpses one whom still seemed to be alive. Looking towards the corpses he rushed past them and found himself gazing at the man responsible. The bandages over his entire body and the fact that he didn't ever recognize this recruit sent shivers down Gordon's spine.

Raising his sawn off and pointing it at his back he spoke.

"Well, well, well. Look what we have here."

Almost there, Tullus believed it was so. He felt that he was getting closer to Cortez's private quarters. No duels, no last words, no explaining the grand scheme of things for world domination or some stupid shit like that. No, end it quickly so he can get out of this place quickly. Pop in quietly, plant a few bullets into his eyes and get out. Sounded like a great idea. The stranger quickly pulled himself to the wall and peered over the corner. Nothing in sight. Well, that was going to be the plan for him. Was. It was until the stranger's trail of blood and bullets led one of the goonies to him, armed and ready to kill. Tullus could feel the cold steel of whatever weapon he was using pointed at him, ready to take the stranger down to hell with a single movement. So many choices to make, so little time. His finger rested lightly on the trigger guard, gun pointed skywards and by his face. He wasn't quick enough to make the shot, but he probably was quick enough to dive around the corner to evade whatever the goon's got in store for him. That would definitely give Tullus enough time to gather his bearings and give him time to fight back.

Phew, Mishi managed to get out of that place. Now, she had to get back to the harbour. She walked on her merry way, whistling to herself. She had to find a marine to steal the clothes off of. And then, she’d be able to get herself a loot of beli. She managed to make it to the harbour without much incident, and looked around. Hmm.. It was still a bit run-down, really. And she needed a boat, unless of course the marines decided to come to her. She asked around, and it seemed they didn’t quite have any, or they just didn’t want to sell her one. Therefore, she opted to look to see if it can be seen from the harbour, maybe she’d be able to swi-NO, the water was her version of hell, she didn’t want to go anywhere near the sea. She went to the harbour and checked toward the distance to see if she could find it, if she was lucky, maybe they’d have docked already?

Tullus

Whipping the weapon from Tullus's back and swinging with the hilt towards Tullus's head, Gordon's gold was to knock the bastard out cold. At least then he could take him to Cortez and have this sack of bandages dealt with personally by him. Gordan's personal favorite ending of Cortez's was the Beetle blast where he created a specific type of bug that causes explosions from its anus.

Sending the bugs in through the opponent's orifices and then having them grow in size within their head before finally the larger bug blew their head clean apart before returning to Cortez's arm. Or there was the Hornet's Head Hive where he sent a swarm of hornets towards them and ordered them to find a way into their head to use it as a hive. That one always left them screaming and sent shivers down Gordon's spine. The sheer thoughts of these techniques he'd seen performed a million time already only excited Gordon further and further each time.

Picking up speed and swinging the handle of his sawn off for Tullus's head Gordon couldn't wait to see this fool's demise.


Mishi

Climbing up out of the water at the harbor a man dressed in a Marine uniform got to his feet. Panting heavily he rested himself against the hut in the sun and cast his drenched shirt aside revealing his naked scared torso. He'd been one of the soldiers who Cortez had a strong disliking for.

The last Marine who'd come searching to take Cortez's head. Petty Officer Horilla. A swordsman with a desire to clean the earth of scum. He'd been restrained beneath the water's surface for the past 4 days. But now he'd managed to escape. The question that Cortez would clearly ask though would've been how he managed to hold his breath for so long. Thankfully this man wasn't what he seemed.

Between his fingers there were horrid scars which seemed to never fully heal properly. He seemed taller and much more muscular than the average human and seemed to have strangely specific places for his scars over his body as well as weird looking cuts on his necks which looked just like. . . . GILLS!

Horilla was a fishman, but he didn't much look like one. His skin tone was close to human and with the scaring over his body it was clear any extra apendages such as fins they'd been cut off. Even though it looked like they'd tried growing back, it seemed they were gone for good now. The scars however blended in nicely with the rest from fights he'd been in.

People had asked why he chose to be a pretend human to be a marine as opposed to being a proud fishman, but no one ever seemed to understand. All that mattered though, was that he was here now and gunning for his dream. Rumbling angrily Horilla's stomach growled, reaching for it he tried to sooth the pains.

Well, looks like Tullus forgot to carry out how his master plan was going to work. Well, not actually forget but left himself in thought for a little too long, which gave his potential assailant a chance to gain the upper hand or the victory. The stranger with big iron whipped around the corner as fast as he could, feeling the end of the weapon he was using just touch his tactical vest. The weapon felt blunt, and it was quite wide for a blunt weapon. Maybe pipes in his hands? Or perhaps a staff? But now wasn't the time to be thinking of such pointless trash! Game time is go, Tullus.

Six bullets in chamber. Distance approximately four meters. Enemy possibly less than half a meter around the corner... So many thoughts running through the bandaged man's head, it could make anyone think he's acting on behalf of a hive mind with all those words! After Tullus pulled around the corner, he immediately turned around and aimed his iron slightly to the right of the corner. Once that tango pulls his head around the wall, he's going to meet his other friends in hell.

Mishi looked around, it seemed that there was no ship. “Where is it… Hm.. Dammit! How am I supposed to-” suddenly, something rose from the water a couple of meters away from her. She let out a small scream by instinct as he looked like some kind of mass-murderer, or at least on first sight. Surprised, jumped backwards and fell to the floor, before turning away and running behind the nearest hut. She was so deep in thought, she wouldn’t have even noticed a giant walking up behind her. She looked around the corner, it was human at least. Though, he did have an awful amount of scars, and how did he manage to survive getting sliced in the neck like that?
 
But… He had a marine uniform. He must’ve been searching for Cortez’s, but even if she managed to take him out, he looked strong. Also, she didn’t see a marine boat from where she was, so it must’ve been a long swim, he must be in great condition, and be strong to survive so many battle-scars! Gulping, she looked around again. Suddenly, she noticed that he did infact have a marine shirt, he just removed it. She had to get it, but she also needed the trousers and… No. She’ll just start off with the shirt. He must be tired after swimming for that long, so she might be able to outrun him.
 
She took out a couple of hundred beli coins, she’ll more than make up the amount after this, however. She noticed that she still held the five thousand beli. She had to store it away later, for now she’ll just stuff some of the money into her shirt and hope it stays there. After a couple of moments of frantically placing her beli, she threw the coins into the opposite direction of the fishman, away from his shirt.
 
Hopefully they’ll make a noise, she waited a couple of moments before dashing around the hut, hoping to run past the marine while he’s not looking and grab his shirt, if she’d manage that then she would continue to run. Though, what if it’s too big? Maybe she’d be able to find a tailor, but first thing’s first, she’d have to get it and ditch him.

Tullus

As the man whipped around the corner Gordon sighed and placed his sawn off back. Catching sight of a bug on the floor he placed his finger on the cockroach's back and stood back up again.

Seconds later Gordon vanished from sight and on the floor there were two cockroaches. The powers of a Disguise Man were pretty handy. Crawling along the ground between Tullus's feet, Gordon allowed his body to rip through both of his disguises into his real form.

Tearing out through his human form & his cockroach form he used a technique of his to take Tullus entirely by surprise.

Insect Uppercut

Forming into the half giant he was Gordon threw himself up into an uppercut as he ripped through the disguises. His real form was a man with long pink coloured hair that trailed down his back to the small of his back, two large arms similar to those of a hippo's hind legs in size. His torso also incredibly muscular. His eyes a deep blue colour. His torso was covered by zipped up vest with red & black patterns reaching down the left side of it and his legs covered by a pair of shorts with the same pattern.

Reaching up to a full height of 23 feet he was only just big enough to fit into the hallways and as he rose upwards slammed his head into the ceiling. Shouting in agony he stood hunched in the corridor and drew his sawn off after rubbing his head for a few seconds.

Mishi

Hearing the coins land on the ground and the sound of someone running the marine turned around to see no one there. He struggled to get to his feet and finally cracked his knuckles and begun to head into town leaving the shirt behind. He didn't want to arouse suspicion. This time he'd be going back for Cortez and this time he'd come back with his head as a marine hero.

Making his way directly towards the home of Cortez, Horilla passed a close by home and noticed a few loose pieces of clothing hanging on the washing line. Looking around he hopped the fence grabbed a hand full of clothing and hopped back over the fence. Looking at what he'd stolen he found a black bra, a pair of socks & a pair of brown trousers. Tossing the bra & socks back over the fence he quickly changed trousers. These trousers were a little tight for him, but still did the job. Leaving his naval pants behind, he continued towards Cortez & his home with his many men who'd no doubt be ready for him.

Okay, it looks like he didn’t notice her. Mishi breathed a sigh of relief as she held the marine shirt. But… What was the point of even having the marine shirt if she didn’t have a full uniform? She was sure as heck she wasn’t going to pull it off of him, nor fight him for it. She edged toward the hut, waited a few moments before looking around it. He was walking by a house and then he stopped. What was he doing?
 
She continued to look around the corner, he was taking some clothes off of the line, but… Wasn’t that woman’s clothing? Looks like he tossed the bra and socks, but- she turned a little red as he took off his trousers and replaced them. Going back behind the hut, she left him to what little privacy he had. She waited a couple more moments, before looking around again, he was off in some small-looking trousers. Well, she was going to try to forget the sight of him trouser less for a while. But aha! He left behind his marine leggings. She quickly ran to them, picked them up before running away again. Okay, she had her marine disguise…Ish. She could take a hat later, unfortunately he didn’t have one. But were they too large for her? Maybe she didn’t have to take off her own clothes. She didn’t even know where to put them anyway.
 
Hopefully the marine was away now, she started to put on his clothes over her own, as well as stash the rest of the beli into the many pockets she had within her suit. If left unchecked, then she would start to walk around and search for anything that looked vaguely marine, apart from the one she just stole the clothes from.

Nothing appeared over the corner for a strange amount of time. Did the guy just get up and leave? No, that couldn't be logical. Unless he went to go get more grunts to fight Tullus, there wouldn't be any reason to just leave. The stranger lowered his revolver just a slight bit, and narrowed his eyes. This is way too fishy. Tullus thought to himself as he began to take steps backwards. It's too quiet. No footsteps, no sheathing noises, no guns cocking. What could that grunt be planning? Some dream of chronic and unsustainable cruelty perhaps? Hopefully not.

Tullus noted two cockroaches on the floor but paid no mind to them, not expecting one of the two to suddenly grow into a giant at a moment's notice. He was hit by the uppercut, which sent him flying backwards quite a bit and hitting a ground with a thud and some clinking from the bullets in his vest. The stranger griped and mumbled to himself as he rubbed his chin and watched in awe as this man grew to a mighty and towering height! Fully built, muscular and probably resistant to bullets too. At least, only his muscles and bones are. Tullus quickly got up and knew that he needed to find cover from this giant's sawed-off scattergun, else he'll turn into a corpse with plenty of bullet holes. He'll deal with taking down this giant later, but as of right now, surviving was the top priority now. And with that, the bandaged man made a mad dash as quickly as he could to make a right turn behind him and think about some strategies.

Target approximately over 7 meters tall, well built and very muscular, most likely resistant to .357 rounds' stopping power, weak points are probably eyes and ears. But how could he land such skillful shots in such a short notice? No matter, he'll figure it out somehow. Just a stranger lookin' to bring a killer back alive or maybe dead, but it didn't really matter, he was after the one named Cortez.

Tullus

Smiling and bursting into a full blown laughter as the bandaged man was knocked clean off of his feet, Gordon looked onwards to the bandaged man as he attempted to get behind him. In this moment of blindness where Tullus was no longer in sight and Gordon no longer in the sight of Tullus he slipped his hand on to the wall beside him.

Blend

Taking on the appearance of the stone pillar, Gordon stood against the wall. Now appearing just like another stone pillar in this corridor he looked out through his disguise to catch sight of Tullus armed with his revolver. All it took now was one wrong move and Gordon could finish this fool.

Mishi

Heading off in a rush from the harbour towards the lair of Captain Cortez the bastard who had tried to drown him, Horilla clenched his fists tightly. Spotting a member of his crew who reached for a sword in its sheath, Horilla drew back his right arm and let the fool have a fistful which brought him to his arse.

Dropping the blade and continuing to sprint ahead, Horilla had a mission he was determined to accomplish a job he'd complete or die trying.

From the sea just out of sight of the island was the marine ship with a young recruit peering out towards the island via a telescope. Seeing what he thought he'd just seen the recruit lowered the telescope.

" Captain, you are not going to believe who I just saw!" he called out to the captain that stood below enjoying a cut of tea.

"Who?" he asked placing down his tea after going to take a sip from it.

"Petty Officer Horilla."

"I thought he was drowned."

"He just re-emerged from the waters and ran into the island."

Sipping at his tea the captain nodded and made his way towards the bow of the ship and looked onwards.

"Strange forces are at play today, strange forces indeed." He hoped that Horilla & Tullus would be able to work together on this and bring back Cortez & his crew.

Mishi looked around the harbour, not being able to see anything. She thought she saw something vaguely in the distance, but it was so small she couldn’t even make out what it was. She sighed, and looked down at her “disguise”, it really was too big. She tucked the shirt into her trousers and her trousers into the trousers that actually fit. What was that marine doing anyway? She should’ve taken advantage and tried to find out where the marine presence was.
 
Damn it! She missed a perfectly good opportunity! Why did she have to panic? People come out of the sea all the time! However, she didn’t really have a good standing with water. It made her feel ill and weak, due to a past… Trauma. She sighed, maybe there was another boat around that she could commandeer? She couldn’t just… Swim over, and she couldn’t even see where the boat is!
 
Mishi gripped her head and groaned. She just found pretty much a fortune, and she had to be dim NOW?! She calmed herself down and sighed. Maybe that marine DID know something, it was just a matter of finding out where he went. She traced his steps through the village, wherever the ground was damp, and found that it led toward Cortez’s hideout.
 
She promptly turned around, nothing good could come out of following him over there. She needed to find a boat to rent. She walked toward the harbour and attempted to knock on a door. “Excuse me, is there a place where I can rent a boat?” She called out.

[Serious?]

Too many thoughts went through Tullus' head, too many to keep what was left of his common sense in check with his actions. Then, all the thoughts just stopped. He stopped dead in his tracks and looked backwards. Where was he? Tullus thought. He's over seven meters tall, he can't just disappear into the air! How could that lowlife thug could've done that? Can he turn invisible or something? Or maybe he can shrink himself into nothing and then grow spontaneously. Shit! He could be under me right now! No, he would need a mode of transportation to even move a meter quickly. But how? Silently, the bandaged man kept his gun pointed at everything around him, expecting some impending ambush from the ceilings or from behind the pillars.

But nothing happened. No sounds, no bullets being shot, so swords clanging, just the sound of himself breathing and his footsteps. Either this giant thug is magical or he's one of the best sneak thieves out there. Considering someone his size, he should be heard a mile away. But no footsteps were heard. As much as Tullus would like to think that he ran away, there was no chance in hell he was letting a criminal that assaulted a Marine officer come back and bite him in the ass while he was shooting up Cortez. He had to be in his same corridor as him, no doubt, invisible or hiding in a secret room hidden somewhere. "Shit, I'm wasting time here." The stranger mumbled. He now wanted to provoke the goon into revealing himself, instead of vice versa. "Come out, thug. Face me in combat instead of hiding behind your cheap tricks and trap doors."

"Or perhaps you're intimidated."

Tullus

BANG! Suddenly a pillar behind Tullus hit the ground clutching its ribs. Behind Tullus, Gordon was now on the floor in agony. Blood dripping from his body and a pained expression on his face. Standing at the end of the corridor was Petty Officer Horilla. Standing over the bleeding body of Gordon he slammed his foot into his head crushing it on the ground.

Breathing heavily as he bled from a serious head injury, Horilla approached Tullus.

"Don't worry, I'm working with you. I'm a marine as well. Petty Officer Horilla." He said offering a hand to Tullus. "Now its about time we catch this Cortez fucker don't you think?"


Mishi

As Mishi knocked on the door to the harbour master no sound was heard. Inside was an old man battered & bloody. Lying in a puddle of blood his pulse was gone & his heart no longer beating.

This old man who'd been so trusted to overlook the harbour and enforce Cortez's rule was no more and now the duty would fall to the Cortez pirates and their many members.

Mishi knocked again. “Anyone home?” She whispered, opening the door and taking a peek inside. No one was there that she could see. Opening it further, she looked for anything good before nearly tripping on something and she looked down.
 
Blood. And a person. She jumped so high up she hit her head on the ceiling, letting out a retching sound she quickly exited the building, closing the door. “W-what the..” She opened the door a little bit, before going back in. She poked the man on the floor, before checking his pulse, he was cold. The retching returned. Was this…
 
She ran out of the door and went to an angle. Was this the place she saw the big man come out of earlier? Either way, she heard the sounds of a person getting beaten up but she had no idea that he was dead! If she knew this earlier, she would’ve never have even gone to Cortez. Thinking about it, he did look quite annoyed when she first declined his offer, what if he was going to kill her because she’d seen the inside of his hideout?!

“Calm…Calm…” She didn’t want to get a panic-attack, how much was the amulet worth again? Something above a million, though she doubted she’d get the full share, probably only under ten percent for getting it. She felt a knot in her stomach. If she didn’t get the amulet then he’d probably be mad, if she brought the amulet to him then her purpose may be at an end and he might… No, no. There must’ve been a reason why the old man was killed, not doing his job… Angering Cortez… Something that she shouldn’t do. Was he the master of the docks? If so, then she’d be able to get a boat now. She went to the docks, and boarded one. Hoping no one saw, she tried to untie the rope and get the oars. The trip toward any kind of marine ship was going to take a lot of effort.

[Serious?]

One gunshot was heard, causing Tullus to immediately turn around and point his gun directly at the noise behind him. Well, looks like there was the thug that was hiding around all this time, as a pillar, somehow. No matter, it was done and his fight ended before he even fired a shot. "Well, it looks like my "magic armor" has saved me once again." Tullus uttered as his revolver touched leather once again. "Petty Officer Horilla. I've heard a little about you, but I didn't think anyone be sent to aide me. I specifically told my CO to refrain from any reinforcements being sent. No matter now, we must hurry; Cortez is sure to be aware of my presence." And with that, the stranger with big iron turned around and continued to retrace his steps. Once he found where he was before, he began to recall the directions given to him by the other nameless thug. In retrospect, Tullus thought, that was too easy just asking someone for the direction of Cortez's room, it has to be trapped or something like that. But, there's only one way to find out, and that's to go there.

While Tullus traversed the large, castle-like vista, words he had never thought of before like "fate" and "destiny" crossed his conscious, his short-term memory, only to be dashed away when some occasional thugs showed up only to be dispersed by a few shots to the head or body. Not long after, he forgot about it and started to get his mind back into where it really matters: Killing Cortez.

Tullus

Nodding to Tullus Horilla followed him before he realized this bandaged man had no idea where he was headed. Chasing after him and finally overtaking him Horilla began to speak.

"You have no idea where you're going do you? Follow me, I've been here before, I know the way to the rooftop and that is where I believe Cortez is."

Turning left down a corridor then running up a set of stairs, Horilla entered the stairwell. looking over the railings he could see the coast was clear, no one as heading up and no one heading down. Signalling to Tullus to follow him Horilla started up the stairs.

"Right he should be at the top of this stairwell. So lets get up there and bring his ass down."

Sprinting up the stairs Horilla felt his mission coming to an end and it was about time too.
