Sitting barefooted on the floor of what would be his office except for it looked nothing like an office, no desks no chairs the only real furniture was the small coffee table set directly in the center of the room. With a steaming piot of tea and two cups placed on the table one in front of Akira and one parallel to him, he was awaiting the arrival of his commanding officer, Commodore Hayward. Taking a quick, silent slurp of his home brew tea the Captain heard a knock on the door and called for the individual to come in.

Commander Hayward:

Greeting the commander with a warm smile Akira extended his hand before allowing Hayward to sit. Akira liked Hayward he understood he worked and didn't discriminate but chose to embrce instead, there was no bullshit with Hayward he was as straight as an arrow. As he poured the Commodore a cup, Akira spied the two folders that the bald headed veteran had tucked under his armpit with the corner of his eye.

"Got me some reading material then have we Roger?"

"You could say that"

"I already told you, I aint running a crew I'd be hopeless you know me can barely look after myself let alone other people"

'Sorry Akira, but this is coming all the way from the Rear Admiral's, you're one of the most enior Captains to not run a crew and with the sudden influx of recruits we need as many crews out there to accomodate . Besides, you get a couple of days to break them in here on the sunny island of Dwindlers Grove" laughed the commodore as he slurped on his tea again.

The statement was ironic because Dwindler's Grove was anything but sunny, with rain the most frequent choice of weather with rain falling for 11 of the 12 Months of the year, Dwindlers Grove was a tough place to survive let alone train.

Groaning Akira signalled for Hayward to pass him the files as Akira glanced over them he shot a look back up to his commanding officer

'When are they arriving ?"

With a smug grin on his face Hayward pulled up his sleeve before bringing the watch level to his eyeline

"Right about...now"

“Fookin’ ‘ey mAte, this shits dAnk.” Alexis remarked, as she arrived upon the island known as Dwindler’s Grove, which seemed to be about as sunny as she was a mermaid. Some of the marines peered her way in confusion. “Wot y’ stArin’ at?” She demanded, rounding up on them, before giving a brief guffaw and skipping off. These people probably haven’t even seen combat with these things called ‘rifles’ before, which is fair enough, because she hadn’t either. Only in training sessions. She was sure she could open a can of kick-arse on them, shame she didn’t bring the tin-opener.

Of course, partially the reason she forgot the opener was because she had to set a nice example for the new captain, and she couldn’t go around and pick fights with some posh blokes who were born with their heads up their arses. “Corr, cleaner thAn a ‘obels backside!” she looked around the courtyard, jumping off the boat delivering a one of the batches of recruits. “Hey, get back in line!” one of the higher-rankers asked. She briefly considered flipping him off, but then again… Eh.

She sighed, and walked with the others, keeping up with them wasn’t much of a chore, but she found it hard to replicate their bloody gait. What did they shove up there to keep themselves so straight? She thanked the god(s) once they stopped and were dismissed by the officer of whatever. NOW she could go and do…Whatever. She opened the letter and began to read it. “Uh.. Uh… Caaap-teeen…” Didn’t it occur to anybody that it was hard for her to read? She stuffed the note in her back pocket and strolled toward the most important looking building.

“Blo’dy ‘ell.” She said, looking up at it. It was quite a large one to say the least. She got the shivers, either through the cold, or the urge to climb it. She gave it to the latter. She looked around it, observing for any cracks on the walls. She noticed the time, or rather, she asked and found it was nearly the time she should be meeting someone; and disregarded the idea. Or at least, she could always come back later.

She ran through the halls before she came across a long hallway, she slowed down to a walk, placing her hands behind her head as she walked past them, whistling merrily until she passed the next corner. Then proceeded to run again. All right, she needed to run up two flights of stairs in about three minutes. Two minutes forty five seconds. Two minutes thirty seconds. Two minutes and si-she was there. Oh god, one of the corridors was practically packed with people, slowing her down. She had to nearly dance her way through the people, before finding the door she was looking for. Rapping and opening it a little TOO eagerly, probably causing it to bang open and for her to face-plant onto the floor. “…Here!” she mumbled.

Serious : The G-7 Trio Empty Re: Serious : The G-7 Trio

Post by Docile Sat Jan 25, 2014 11:31 am

After receiving his orders, taking a nap & reading a book, cause it was part of his relaxed nature the man with dreadlocks was out the door of the Marine Head Quarters.

With a picture of the target in hand the man's image was quickly plastered into his mind. Feeling free in his casual clothing as opposed to his Marine attire, Colton Ryker arrived at the large wooden gates of the Holton Bandits.

A local bandit gang who had been known for terrorising the town, run by their leader Krav Holton. A ruthless cocky little shit of a man with golden teeth & a stone heart. Sighing as a hail of gun fire opened up and ripped right through his torso, Colton sighed.

Shaking his head he quickly attempted to push open the gates. When he met resistance his first course of action was to shed the serpent.

Serpant Shed

As his body drifted apart into various pieces of volcanic ash, it quickly drifted beneath the gates and into the compound. Attracting attention as his body formed on the other side the watchmen in the towers on either side watched in shock.

Continuing the storm of gunfire they watched as their attempts to remove the threat came to no avail. Turns out the men recognised him from the Marines and previous patrols even without his marine attire. But the hair was pretty memorable.

Seeing how little effort their rapid panic stricken attacks did they watched as Colton slipped his hands into his pockets and begun to walk lazily through the compound. As more bandits caught sight and were alerted they rushed to greet him.

Slashing at his torso to see their weaponry simply phasing through him or coming away with slight burns, the lot of them stopped & stared.

Just who the hell was this guy and what were they meant to do? This man had just avoided all of their attacks without even trying and even burnt them without moving. Who the fuck was he. Screams of agony and murmurs of questions floated around as Colton made his way to a small guard post towards the back of the compound.

Raising a hand and peering from beneath it he attempted to see who the man giving the orders was. He couldn't quite tell though. As a few more bullets riddled through his torso, legs & arms he sighed.

Once again using his Serpent Shed technique he drifted apart into small pieces. No one could see him and the assault halted.

Standing in fear as the men looked around in horror with no idea of where to look, Krav Holton peered over the edge of his small tower at the grounds and his men who looked panicked.

He'd heard a mysterious marine had entered the compound and harmed no one but just walked through everything as if he were some sort of God. This had made him uncomfortable and straight away the first thought on his mind was to run away instead of stay and fight.

Feeling a force pressing on his face and pushing back, Krav started to feel fear envelop him as his back touched upon the back wall of his guard post. A hand begun to form before him made from volcanic ash, forming slowly until Colton's face was only inches from his own, Krav gulped.

A palm pressed against his face & fingers clutching tightly only inspired intensifying fear into him.

"Holton, you've proven yourself to be quite the nuisance and it seems the first few times you were arrested didn't stop your little bandit crew. So I've been sent here to get rid of you."

Yawning as he finished his little speech he could hear Holton already beginning to blubber and make up excuses as to why Colton shouldn't do his job.

Serpent Spit I

Surging from his elbow to his palm ash exploded from Colton's palm and suddenly Holton was propelled backwards from the tower. Crashing down into the ground with burning over his face & neck along with a hole in his face. The burning continued to singe through him, burning out his eyes & deep into his insides.

[Flashback End]

"At least thats how the story goes." said Recruit Platte.

"Yea right, thats all bullshit! That lazy bastard!" blurted out another Recruit with red hair.

"Yea! I saw it with my own eyes." Platte retorted.

"What do you mean you saw it with your own eyes?" Rufus asked raising an eyebrow.

"I was on patrol in the mountains, cause theres a few houses up there and as I was coming down I heard all the gunfire and went to check it out."

"And what you caught sight of the lazy dragon doing all that?" the red haired marine questioned still refusing to believe it.

"YEA!" nodded Platte.

Opening his eyes slightly and peering out to glance at Platte and how he tried to explain the story of what he'd seen Colton doing, he grinned. He'd gotten the story right, but who really needed to know? Was it important? No. The real question that would be questioned would be, did he get the job done? Yes.

Arriving at the Island the recruits quickly hurried off, seemed they just couldn't wait to get back on to land once again, as for Colton he could use a few more minutes and most people knew not to disturb him. Not because he'd attack or even be rude, just because they'd never get anywhere. Closing his eyes once more and allowing his dreads to hang down to the floor as he enjoyed the gentle rocking of the ship in the docks Colton didn't mind leaving his new soon to be Captian waiting and was sure he wouldn't mind waiting for him either.

He doubted there was any real rush anyway.

Casting a grin as he read over the two files,

"well they're certainly odd." remarked Akira as he ran his fingers through his feint but scruffy facial hair.

'Why'd you think you're in charge of em?" retorted Hayward with a joking smile plastered onto his face.

'Fair do's, this Colton is a Logia right? I'm gonna need a few supplies from the Armoury"

After scribbling a list down onto a piece of paper Akira handed his Commodore the note before exchanging pleasantries , just as onehad left his office another arrived as a buck toothed recruit fell onto the floor of Akira's office as Hayward just laughed and stepped over her and continued on his way .

Upon sight of what appeared to be his first subordinate Akira rose to his feet before kneeling beside her with a smile and an extension of the hand.

"Hi. I'm Akira youre Captain would you care for some tea?"

----
WIth a loud crackle of thunder in the sky and a flash of lightning in the dark g rey clouds the trademark torrential rain of Dwindler Grove began to pour down from the heavens and turn the grey rocks of the island a dark miserable grey.

Bloody hell was that embarrassing. All she needed now was a clown suit. Well, guess she shouldn’t beat herself up about it. She accepted the hand, looking up and-wow, did he look… Weird. It’s like a kind of face you wouldn’t want to see grinning at you at the end of your bed in the middle of the night. Either that or she was exaggerating. “..’Ey.” She said, as she got up. “I’m Alexis.” She said, giving him a grin, her large front teeth glistening. After the left the sewers, the first thing she tried to get in order were her teeth. They could hardly even bite through the bread she was given, she was used to stew and soggy stuff. She was lucky not to have lost any of her teeth at all, apparently. But they were still a little yellow and… Weird.

“TeA? WossAt?”She asked. All she thought of was the letter “T”.. She looked around Akira, leaning to the left to look out of the window. “..Noice wevvah, innit?” she asked. She looked to the table while she was at it, and saw a steaming mug. Was it a drink? “Roight, than’s!” She said, hopefully she got it right, straightening herself up again, or well; as straight as once could expect from her.

Post by Docile Sun Jan 26, 2014 7:03 am

Waking up to the raucous sounds of thunder Colton left to his feet in an awakened manor, seems his Captain was calling or fate was attempting to rush him. Complying with the orders cast his way from the heavens above, Colton made his way down the gangplank yawning and rubbing his eyes.

Reaching the harbour he slowly begun to trot up the incline, he had begun to feel like a rotten sandwich now though. He'd been passed from superior to superior in the hopes that someone would take a bite & make something good of it, but this was Colton a man who never achieved what was expected of him. It was why he hated meeting new superiors, they were always so expectant at the beginning, only after a few months did they ever really get Colton.

Now here he was again being passed off to the next official in the totem hoping this guy whoever he was would make something good of it, but this was Colton the rotten sandwich and no one had made anything good out of him yet, despite their best efforts.

This rotten sandwich wasn't bad tasting, but it was different. Thats what type of guy Colton Ryker was.

Akira couldn't help but smile at the recruit, although he had only just met the girl it was like looking 30 years into the past. He wasn't sure if it was the blunt but honest choice of words or the hygiene or lack there of.

Passing her a cup of tea and giving her a reassuring look of as if to say drink it it's good. Their brief conversation was interrupted by the scuttling sound of the torrential downpour pounding against the building.

"I take it you're from the streets Alexis? I was cut from the same cloth."

With a loud yawn Akira outstretched his arms before laying his 6 foot plus frame onto the floor and resting his face against the palm of his hand breaking all formality between the two, to say Akira was an unorthodox commanding officer was an understatement.

Alexis sat down, though in a lax sort of way, not cross-legged nor in the seiza position, but in a sort of slouch. Her left arm was placed onto the ground, while her legs were stretched out to the side. Gosh, she found sitting uncomfortable. Unless there was some kind of thing to sit ON, not some kind of mats or pillows. They’re for sleeping, not sitting. Anyway, seems it was time to taste some of this “T” he apparently liked. She peered at the kettle, it was steaming, so it was probably hot.

The captain-person passed her a cup of the stuff, she accepted it, only to immediately nearly fall down onto the floor as she danced the cup imbetween her two hands. “Fookin’ ‘eck!” she exclaimed. The cup was hot. Not some kind of desert hot, but full on, no surrender slaughtering hand tissue boiling. She never really had many hot drinks, the best they could hope for where she came from was at least semi-clean water.

She blew on it deeply, before her hands stopped burning. Either they became numb, or got used to it. She grinned up at him. “Nah, ‘ain so looky. ThA’ sewAhs’ I is.” She said. “Men-ee-strul ‘Ah think.” She pondered. She’d nearly forgotten the name of where she was from, didn’t seem to really matter. “We wai’n fer more or sum’fin?” she asked, going into a crosslegged position.

She took a sip of the tea, only to immediately spit it out. Her hands may have gotten used to it, but it was like them at the start, only ten-fold with her mouth. “Fokfokfokfokfokfok!” she cursed, wiping her tongue with her hand. It felt like she just licked the sun!

Serious : The G-7 Trio Empty Re: Serious : The G-7 Trio

Post by Docile Sun Jan 26, 2014 11:15 am

Arriving at the front doors to the Academy Colton paused to stretch. Feeling his muscles aching a little and crack here and there, he pushed on the door opening it. He'd been told he would have to report to some guy called Killer. He'd thought it strange a man of justice being called Killer but it wasn't his place to judge.

Stepping up to the reception he looked at the beautiful lady behind the desk.

"Hey handsome, how can I help you?Well other than handing you my address for our date later" the woman asked. She was a bit too forward, well towards men who took her liking that was, but not quite anyone.

Noticing she was speaking to him and snapping out of his slight delusion Colton looked at the woman smiling back at him.

"Oh urm, could you tell me where Captain Killer is? I'm meant to meet him for something."

"Uh, yea sure, don't you want to take my address?" the woman asked as she pushed forward the slip of paper.

Noticing the slip of paper he placed a hand on top of it and quickly incinerated it with his Hai Hai powers. Her eyes widened as she stood up outraged.

"DON'T YOU WANT TO MEET ME LATER?!GOD YOU MEN ARE ALL THE SAME"

Staring at her surprised Colton watched as the woman burst into tears and sat back down sulking. He looked around then back at the woman and raised an eyebrow.

"Your talking to me right?"

Shooting Colton the glare of death he got the message it was time to take his leave because this girl did not want to talk to him any more after he'd rejected her.

Stepping back he replied to her.

"Don't worry I'll find this Captain Killer myself."

Heading for the stairs Colton heard a few words of curse words muttered from the woman, she clearly wasn't happy.

Confused and a little bit startled Colton was just happy to be out of there, whoever she was, she was a little bit psychotic and way too forward.

Post by Guest Sun Jan 26, 2014 11:38 am

Whistling as he walked down the stairs and nodding to a few of his colleagues , Hayward recognised one of the faces from the files he'd handed Akira a few minutes prior, it was Ryker.

Opting to avoid interaction with the recruit Hayward just shot him a passing glance as he hopped down the stairs and looked to the heavens as he saw Gina yet again losing her rag after another rejection. Placing both palms onto the Help Desk and glaring at the woman who was almost painfully desperate with a push-up bra trying to augment her near flat chest.

"For christs Sake, Gina this is a place of work not one of those bloody brothels if youre so desperaste for abit of male company why dont you fucking hire one of those Jigallo's or something in your spare time. Youre small head might not be able to comprehend this but not everyone wants to hear your squeaky irritating voice all of the time. Maybe you wouldn't be single if you dressed appropriately and didn't cake yourface in all of that shit you call make up. Now If you'd be so kind please can I have the Armory Keys"

The sudden outbursts that had become somewhat of a personality trait of the Commodore had left almost everyone in the lobby completely stunned and silenced. With her eyes fixated on the Commodore's worn wrinkled face a look of terror, fear and insult were all blended into one as she slided the key into his palm before Hayward switched once more into a jovial smile as he continued on his way. Hayward was like that nice as pie one minute and then the next completely insane, and thats putting it mildly. Hayward had little time for assrats like Gina..

---

" I see the sewers" remarked Akira as he observed the maneurisms of Alexis it was quite clear from her speech that she was ust barely able to communicate in the English Language and had doubts about whether or not she would be able to read or even write which would more than likely hinder her career as a marine if she ever wanted to get anywhere other than just being fodder.

Watching her spit the tea out as it roasted her tongue he handed her napkin to clean herself up.

"You have to blow on it to cool it down, unless you like having a constantly burnt tongue also if I might add why did you join the marines the information in your file was quite vague and I'm not all too sure how you jump from living in a sewer to being a marine"

Acceping the hankerchief, Alexis wiped herself and anywhere she may have sprayed with the tea clean. Now she’d end up smelling like tea, she didn’t quite remember the last time she cleaned herself properly, but being reained on counts, right?

“..Roight.” She said, blowing on the tea so hard it nearly spilled over again. This time she kept with the cross-legged position probably due to the lack of hands to keep herself up. Her tongue still hurt, sa well, it pulsated in her mouth. “Weel’, AftAh I left thA’ sewAh’s, I sAw some kindA pArAdy-thing, so I thought ‘why noht c-heck it out, n’ comin’ just from thA’ sewAh’s n’ All, the place looked cleAnah thAn Anyfin else ah’d seen, got tha owp-ah-chunity tAh escApe, yAh’ know?” She nodded, taking a sip of the tea. “Ennee’way, Ah looked at thA’ shiny clothes n’ whAt-noht, then Aht my own, then Aht the sewAhs, and thought ‘screw thAt!’ n’ ran off tAh join.” She nodded.

Blowing on the cup of tea a few more times, she took a sip of it again. It wasn’t as hot as before, but still enough to make her tongue tingle. It was a little bitter for her, “goh’ Aneh sugAr?” she asked.

Arriving at the top of the stairs and being passed by a few others who seemed in a bit of rush on the stairs, Ryker looked left right then left before he realized he had no idea or chance of finding Captain Killer and just wanted to give up his search.

Spying a bench to the left outside a room he smiled. If this Killer really wanted him, he could come find him. He wasn't going to spend his day searching for this Captain, it would just cause more problems than it'd fix.

Taking up refuge on the bench, Colton stretched out his legs and arms as he yawned. Placing his arms behind his head as a pillow and tilting his hat over his eyes he adopted his napping posture and allowed himself to drift into dream land till a time when he was found like a lost puppy returned to its owner.

"Mhm" retorted Akira as he slurped onto his tea before sliding Alexis a pot of sugar with a teaspoon wedged into it. Raising himself up off of the floor Akira walked over tothe wall where his two blades were hanging slowly running the palm of his hand straight down the blackened steel and smiled, the blades were still the same condition nearly as when he purchased them despite over aquarter of centuries use.

---

Hayward slammed the door of the armory shut as he whistled swinging the handcuffs on his index finger as they circled around making a whish sound as they sliced throughthe air. Passing Gina and sliding her the key without a word and hopping up the stairs the bald headed veteran spotted the marine he had saw earlier snoozing on a bench which didn;t exactly please the traditionalist upon closer inspection the snoozing marine was Ryker, Colton Ryker. Without a word Hayward released his grip on the seastone cuffs sending them hurtling towards Colton's face from almost point blank range.

Alexis nodded, putting the tea down, almost causing it to spill again as she took a large scoop of sugar and dipped it into the tea, stirring. Sweet takes out bitterness, right? The three food groups, or was there four? Was bitterness even a taste? She didn’t really understand why anyone’d like it. Either that or she’s gotten the tastes mixed up. She stirred it some more, making sure the whitey goodness dissolved into the drink, before picking it up and taking a sip. Right, that was a little better. She then noticed he had walked off to watch the rain or something. “Cor, bit bru’al innit?” she asked, referring to the blades. Just like she didn’t like a certain one of the food kinds, she didn’t really like weapons either. “Ah loik smackin’, mahself.”

With soothing tune dancing through his head and a guitar in his hands, Colton enjoyed making these smooth sounds. Plucking away at the strings on his guitar it was clear this was just a dream, normally he was disturbed by someone half way through or distracted. Never did he actually get the chance to play for as long as he wanted without distraction or disturbance.

Like every other time before this time was no different though, disturbance would find him, this time it was in the shape of a pair of sea stone handcuffs.

Greeting him in a most unpleasant manor Colton woke from his sleep and hit the bench with his shoulder. Gazing up at an empty hand and the face of the man who owned the hand Colton wasn't best pleased. Sitting up slowly feeling his body aching Colton picked himself up in no real rush.

"Any particular reason for that?" he asked wiping his nose of the blood which had dripped forth, as the cuffs hit the floor.

" A sleeping marine is a dead marine, Ryker." remarked Hayward bluntly as he swirled the black cuffs in an orbiting motion once again,in his 30 years of service he'd seen men come and go, he'd seen people like Ryker before he didn't like his kind. Wouldn;t know a good days work if it slapped him in the face and skullfucked him, or so the Commodore thought. He was like that with all of the new marines though he called it breaking them in, he'd come down on them like a ton of bricks the ones who could hack it would earn his respect whilst the ones who couldn't got booted out, just like he had done to Akira all those years ago when he busted his balls for an entire month day in day out before he showed him even the tiniest bit of respect.

"You're one of Miyazaki's is there a reason youre not in his office?"

---

"It's only brutal if it needs to be brutal, why do you think there's not a single imperfection on the blades? I keep fatalities at a minimum if I can help it Alexis" turning as he talked to her diverting his attention from the blades as he returned to hte table and sat cross-legged wondering where his other newbie was.

"So you're not a lover of weapons? whats your preference in combat ?"

Serious : The G-7 Trio Empty Re: Serious : The G-7 Trio

“Ah loik thah’ smack them cloos’ up.” Alexis said, taking another sip of tea, before shaking her left hand in the air briefly. The tea was alright now, but her tongue still tingled not a little. She looked outside of the window, still raining? “Blegh, propah soggy this island ain’it?” She said, before remembering. “Anyfin’ we’re waitin’ for or do ya’ just like tea?” She asked, looking at her cup, before putting some more sugar into it. Still needed a little more, then it’d be great. Shame it’s apparently bad for her teeth, but what’re you going to do? NOT have sugar? Pft. Now that you mention it, she did marvel at the cleanness of the place, the only dirt was probably brought in by her, pretty impressive; the only place she had that was hers at the moment was a designated hammock, and she STILL managed to make it unclean and messy when she left it.

Serious : The G-7 Trio Empty Re: Serious : The G-7 Trio

Post by Docile Tue Jan 28, 2014 9:11 am

Hearing the Commodore's remarks about sleeping marines being dead Marines Ryker yawned.

"Is it not better to be well rested and fit for combat mentally & physically then tired, stressed & unprepared. Being unprepared could lead to harm of not only oneself but others as well since clumsiness tends to follow tiredness, however if a marine is sleeping then no clumsiness follows only one less person attempting harm unto another."

The Commodore didn't seem impressed with him but in all honesty, Colton didn't really care, he wasn't here to impress him, just do his fair share in the fight against crime. Do a bit of spring cleaning on the world. But it seems due to his logia capabilities people expected more of him. He was kinda sick 'n' tired of it if he was 100% honest. He wanted to mention the mission he'd just come back from had been a success, but if he knew Platte. Which unfortunately he did and rather well too. Then the story would reach this Commodore. But he really wished he hadn't shared rooms with him aboard the ship.

Platte had been a man with far too many secrets and during their nights in, he'd been like an open book. A naked open book. A naked open book with the words shaved off.

Shuddering at the thought Colton was brought back into reality to notice that Commodore Hayward was asking him why he wasn't in Miyazaki's office. Tilting his head as he raised an eyebrow Colton only had one question to ask now. All these names were getting pretty confusing.

"Miyazaki? Whose that? I'm looking for Captain Killer."'

"Being well rested doesn't mean shit when you got a bullet in your head." retorted the Commodore as he turned behind him to see a bunch of pale faced marines staring intently at him, motioning his hand as if to usher them to return to their duties. Hearing the mention of Captain Killer, Hayward raised his eyebrow and turn back to Colton.

"There's no Captain by the name of Killer on Dwindler's Grove, anyhow you're to report to Captain Miyazaki, he will be your commanding officer from this day forward, as fate would have it I'm on my way there now . I can take you there follow me"

Turning without waiting for the recruits response the near bald marine began his march up the stairs of the training base.

---

'I see you're a brawler" remarked the Captain with a smile as his attention seemed to turn towards the window which showed a dark grey cloud covered sky with the occasional ripple of thunder and zap of lightning.

"That's Dwindlers Grove for you, get used to it this is the norm weather wise and yes I do very much enjoy tea but were waiting for your colleague and fellow recruit, Mr. Colton."

Alexis front. This was boring. When would they go off and do assignments or patrols or whatever? She chugged down the last of her tea, looking around the room. Plain. Plain. Aaaand… A window which is PLAIN. She almost jumped when she heard the clatter of lightning. “Bloody ‘eck!” She exclaimed. “Donno’ if I think I wonna go back on a ship toodaye.” Imagine sailing in the weather here was AWFUL, why’d they even colonise it in the first place? Did they think the marines didn’t shower enough, so they thought to send them over here to get washed or something?

"To put a bullet in my head you need to find me first. Also its not so easy to put a bullet in the head of volcanic ash." Colton chuckled to himself a little. He saw the marines behind the Commodore and could see that they were staring intently.

When he mentioned that his commanding officer was Captain Miyazaki, Colton wanted to argue that it was Killer, but this guy seemed pretty angry as it was.

"Urm, sure ok I'll follow you." although he would really rather not, Colton couldn't tell his superior he didn't want to follow when it concerned his new boss. The guy he'd have to suck up to if he wanted to do well and not be handed off to someone else in another 6 months.

The arrogance being displayed by Colton was wearing thin on Haywards limited patience with people he had little time for.

"Logias aren't everything, your cockiness will get you killed I could punch a hole stomach right this second if I wanted to. Just remember youre not invicible"

Hayward had always had somewhat of a stern dislike towards those Logia Users, not a prejudice just a cautionary attitude. Turning towards the recruit as his arm turned a coal black from the Haki that was imbued into it.

The walk needless to say was rather awkward between the pair, Hayward was starting to legitimately dislike Ryker was it because of his Logia perhaps? Or maybe it was because he had never ever met a person with dreadlocks he'd liked.

---

"Well, better get used to it we'll be training in it soon enough' replied Akira with a smug grin on his face, the real reason Dwindlers Grove was occupied by the marines was due to the fact it was supposed to be tough it was a proving grounds to see if New Recruits would be able to endure and bear the worst that Mother Nature has to offer them.

Hearing a knock on the door and the face of Hayward who looked slightly less pleased than he had when he had exited Akira's office. Behind him he saw another face whom he recognised from the file that sat on the table in front of him and was currently being used as a coaster. Giving a Nod Hayward allowed Colton to walk in front of him into the office before giving his Subordinate a nod and tossing the handcuffs towards him before exiting with a slute to which Akira respinded with a wave, he wasnt all into the Salute and Shit.

"Hello!, I'm Akira Miyazaki and this is Alexis you're colleague. Welcome" exclaimed the Captain as he was rather glad to have a new face in the office as the conversation between Alexis and himself had became rather stale as time had passed on.

"I take it your name's Colton? Would you care for some tea?"

To what Akira said, of how they would be training in this weather, she had one thing to say, actually, she had two things to say if you counted the first one as an actual word. “Aaah, shitsticks.” . She ooked outside of the window some more before sighing and getting up. “Wen’s tha’ numbnuts gonna arrive, thon?” She asked, going off to lean on a wall.

Suddenly someone knocked at the door. “Aboot foking toime ya’ fu-uuuaaahloovlyparson.” She said, about to insult the late guy, before realising it was the old guy whom was in the room prior to herself. She saluted him enthusiastically, as they were FINALLY going to get something to do, before leaning across to check the doorway for the other newbie. She looked at him up and down, before shrugging and leaning back onto the wall.

He was a little taller than her, and quite a bit skinny, though he had some kind of arrow-head face or something, all narrow and such, and weird hair. “’Ello.” She said, picking at her fingernails, they’d gotten a bit long it seems.

Biting his tongue to not further enrage the Commodore whose arm had turned black Colton simply did as he was told. He knew he wanted to speak, but was it really worth it when it would result in pain? Of course not. Nothing was worth it when it resulted in unavoidable pain.

He just wanted to meet his Captain Killer and be away from the Commodore, since he was really growing to dislike him, Colton didn't often dislike people but Hayward was passing those tests with flying colours. Maybe its just because he was too strict and hell bent on rules whilst Colton was more focused on being prepared via relaxation.

Although it did look like this guy hadn't slept in awhile so thats probably why he was cranky. Colton liked to believe if you were it you could be it and it seemed Hayward liked to see his limits.

No fun ever came from knowing your limits though, not knowing them and pushing yourself further than you knew was where the fun came from, it showed determination, strength and a true iron will. Although it wasn't likely he'd need that any time soon, he was just a simple seaman recruit, it wasn't as if he was going to be placed in front of haki using pirates any time soon.

Arriving at the office and hearing someone mention his name, Colton turned to catch sight of this Captain Miya-- whatever his name was and hear the offer of tea. He took a few seconds to think about it before asking for what he really felt like.

"Got any pineapple juice?"

Smiling at Colton's question Akira outstretched the palm of his hand as a pineappple sprouted up from it like a tree, holding the spiky tropical fruit in his palm the Captain walked over to the wall where his swords rested plucking Sandy hsi right handed blade and giving it a few swirls in a circular motion, Akira tossed the fruit in the air before delivering a single horizontal slash to the middle of the fruit seperating it into two before draining the juice into the glass before handing the glass to Colton.

Dropping himself flat onto the floor and resting his left leg over his arched right knee and resting his arms behind his head and looked up towards the ceiling.

"Once you finished your drinks we'll head out towards the forests, for some training. I've established that Alexis is more of an erm...improv based combatant and you Colton ?"
